Very helpfull🫶🏻🫶🏻… first I get lost but know totally understand what to do. Btw could you also make a video about how to find and write a study proposal in UAL?
@@ArtTheoriez could you also tackle the relevance and value of art depending on each medium's materials (oil ,acrylics, gouache ,water color, pastels, etc ..) in today's modern art era where things are mostly digitally made? (Since artists are mostly expected to have digital training when working for companies)
Hi! Coming back to say I got accepted into UAL! My course is MA: Photography. I'm from Brazil and english is not my first language, so I basically watched your video for several days while writing my personal statement. I'm so thankfull to you and your tips!
Thanks mate, no you apply to each foundation course separately (check their websites). Also you are gonna need to apply quick because foundation deadlines are soon.
When applying for an art foundation do I have to follow the structure of the UCAS ie what moocs and extracurriculars you have done. Like rlly academic. Cause like it links but I feel like it’s also irrelevant idk. What I mean by this is that my schools general personal statement structure in sections is: Why, What, Academic, Extra curricular, Summation. Another question- what’s the general word count? Thank you very much and sorry 😅😅
Hey! Good question! It needs to be written in a structured and academic way for sure, but the difference is you can also you can personalise it to the specific foundation course your applying for. Which foundations are you applying for?
@@mggoats5903 Once you choose a foundation course it will become more clear what to write about. All foundation courses will tell you how long your statement should be and what to write about on their website. (All courses usually want the same kind of topics covered in their statement)
Hi was wondering with foundation courses, am I applying for the general course or do I still write about the specific course I want to pursue after my foundation year.
ah okay yeah I might have to restart then cause I've written a first draft on how I want to do film making degree but in order to that course I need to do arts and humanities foundation first its a bit of a weird situation sorry. @@ArtTheoriez
Great video. I told my daughter many of your points. Hopefully coming from you, a reputable third party who is not a parent, she will actually listen.
Thanks!

Good idea! I have been meaning to touch on that topic for a while now!

Where can I find the personal statement that you mentioned you wrote?
It’s in the video, you can pause the screen to read it
Hi, I studied overseas and have to do my QTS for teaching art. I am not really sure before applying for QTS how shoul I prepare my portfolio?
I would just present a range of artworks you have made. To show that you have the skills and the knowledge to teach.
Hi was wondering with foundation courses, am I applying for the general course or do I still write about the specific course I want to pursue after my foundation year.
Personally I would just stick to writing about the foundation course your applying for, I wouldn’t mention any future courses you want to peruse.

@thesothouse I mean maybe it would be ok to say that. Honestly there is no right and wrong here.
Sorry for the confusing response!
no worries I appreciate the help nonetheless I think I'm gonna stick with what I've got and fine tune it from there. Thanks again 👍@@ArtTheoriez
