I'm English and proud to say so. I'm also very proud to say that this song and the entire album is an absolute classic. Fish is a true poet,musician....genius.
A skilled writer and poet, always has been, the passion that goes into his songwriting is what makes Fish stand head and shoulders above the rest, see you on the farewell tour.
I am English (Northern) but I bloody love the passion in this song ❤️
Still great after all these years.
Always great writer & lyricist.Top guy too.How i miss him fronting Marillion.
Such a great song, love it...I really love Scotland and Scottish people 🙂🏴
Greetings from Croatia 🙂🙂🤗
Brilliant then, brilliant now, brilliant always.
Yes still a strong song. Great remix. Waiting for the album to arrive. And we have become old since the original came out. Wow time flies.
Still love this song. Brings back some very good memories too! Thanks Fish; see you in Utrecht!
FISH, always loved him 💜
I have always loved this song and its message, Alba gu brath
Those were the days; a ponytail ❤
iam Сatalan and very proud to be so, visca Catalunya, visca Barça! Long live Scotland and England!
The second best album from Fish🐟🐠🐟🐟
Credo,Cliche and so on ..🏴
Always loved this Album and this track. Can't wait for the albums this month😊...for many a year i saw the fires of Grangemouth light the skies....and possibly soon to be extinguished 😔💙🏴💙
I am a GIGANTIC fan of your work man. I've listened to you for years and you have molded much of what is my usable musicality. Your work is true art and a dying breed....I hope we meet someday my friend! KEEP WRITING...🙂 (1000 likes makes me nauseous)
Another cracking tune from the big man. Can’t wait for this and the Vigil releases
You sing and sang always out of my soul...thx a lot Fish❤🙏🙏🙏✌️🔥
I will see you in October on your farewell tour in the Netherlands. I have been a fan from the early days from Marillion until now. I'm gonna miss your music and your humor. Stay save, Fish ❤❤
Uuh, feels like being in a garden of remembrance 😁🤘🇩🇪
Superb song sounds even more amazing than the 1st time I heard it all those tears ago what a mix Callum has done
Lyrically and Musically flows true still on point. I remember the cassette single release straight into the car stereo. Ahh memories Thanks
God I love this album I remember buying it when it first came out I remember having a special order it
I’m sure the first time I heard this was as an encore at the Edinburgh Playhouse on the Vigil tour.. I was a die-hard fan at the time and I had no idea what this song was, (which bugged me immensely.) I was humming it for months though as I eagerly awaited the second album.
Great track and Calum Malcolm's remix is super!
Ha ha, I was the editor for this video.
"The fires of Grangemouth burns the skies". That lyric has now taken on a whole new meaning since May of last year 😅
The stop motion terriers playing football is quite the sight gag. The remix sound fab!
Yup 👍
Scotland’s finest. ❤
Fantastic fish
Scotland in a song 💙💙💙
Brilliant! 🇧🇷
Love this song
Derek, you are the best! I want to here this song in Scottish language, not in English. I hope you'll do it some time... Hello from Russia! Welcome to Russia!
This video sparks joy
Loving this in 🏴
Still so beautiful.
excellent sound
So much memories. Greetings from Bulgaria.
Economic exile - love this track, always have.
I LOVE this song!!
A classic track and the remix sounds great. Can't wait till my Internal Exile and Vigil remasters arrive in the post.
Picture a time before digital.... it was a time of the portable cassette and radiograms (ghetto blasters) and, apart from a cassette that had top of the pops, recorded off the telly, me and my mates only had two communal tapes.
One tape was Bark at the moon and the other was Misplaced Childhood and we listened to them both, with equal measure, until the batteries ran out.
You could consider us "brain washed", due to the fact that I became a total Marillhead (copyright term to me... not like anybody will ever use the term "Marillhead"... apart from me, twice, just now....)....
Anyhow.... too much progressive rock and roll, fast women, and lots of drugs, has left this mind being able to forget the point of this comment?
Suffice to say, may the cosmic send peace and good shit to you Fish! You're one of the only fukaz who ever made my Dad smile :)
Pete, from Manchester... ish
great comment pete..i remember doing a pen and ink copy in art college around 84ish of ozzy in werewolf get up..saw marillion in 87 at edinburgh playhouse..right up there as one of my top concerts.
@graemeanderson-n9g I never got to see the Marillion kids live, due to me still being a kid and living in Wigan (in 80s Wigan, you were lucky if you had shoes... and if you did have shoes then, you would probably find them in the fire....)
My first band was Anthrax, in 87... I had a job and 10 quid a week to spend!! Hahaha
However, I did have a bunch of live Marillion vids... and reel to real *great live album* :)
I remember seeing a live vid and during Grendel, Fish lifted some kid out of the audience, by the scruff of his shirt... I remember thinking "this guy is cool as fuk!" Hahaha.... ah, memory lane.... sometimes you're dark and scary but, sometimes, you're light and awesome!! Hahaha....
I used to draw Eddie from iron maiden all the time... even now, all those classic album artworks, inspire what I put into an ai generator.... look at my vid thumbnails and you'll see.... :)
Bark at the moon has, still, one of the greatest guitar solo plus outro solos in the history of solo plus outro solos!! And misplaced childhood still sounds amazing... always loved the Fish Hooks.....
Cuanto talento Fish ❤🐠
Masterclass
How Young We Were...
Truly,sigh😢
Great new mix. More vocal clarity. 👍🏻

❤❤❤
The Cutty Sark⛵️
please add subtitles so we can follow the story. great song
I know him by the name of Marillion. Mainly, the voice does not change. But his face also reminds her of him.
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Tantallon castle?
I'd say yes.
Bloody big wall, not much else !
Blackness castle...and not that far from my hometown of Falkirk 😊
Yes Tantallon is what i thought too!
Sort of misplaced... adulthood.
He was very good in his role in the movie Chasing The Deer.
Argyll♣️🐗
Sono Italiano, W la Scozia!
So far, I prefer the old mix as it sounds less commercial. The new mix has distortion on the voice, the backing vocals are too loud, the snare drum is far too loud as well but I guess it's only my opinion.
Very British… love it!
