Those levels are much more difficult than the Super Mario Bros Lost Levels, that game‘s difficulty was basically unfair.
Great level design! It's filled with the right amount of anxiety to make a player think before they act.

The way he ends the last levels, by letting bowser get as close as possible gives me anxiety.
It's amazing how insanely hard that first game was. I remember playing this with my mom, and am having flashbacks of being killed by those spike things, and the cannons, and the jumping fish. And then the time crunch, on top of it. That was a difficult game.
You would also, have to use every glitch in the game, just to beat it. That's pretty much the Mario I remember.
The second game, Super Mario Bros 2: The Lost Levels (Japan) was even more difficult.

dunno whos created this version of mario bros, but this one is extremely difficult to play through, all the time you played you were on the edge, inhuman version imho xDD

You have a cheat code on. At 15:14 you get small and then at 15:17 you disappear for 1 second so you don't get killed by the fire rotation obstacle.

I have played these levels in my childhood, these were really challenging to finish... I used to play giant Mario and this had advantage compared to super Mario,moon Mario...
