It would be no exaggeration to say that the awesomely wonderful synergy between Mozart’s inhuman mentality and the piano’s potentiality has crystallized into a timeless work of art in this universe.

It's awesomely blessing that Mozart’s music inspiration is absolutely far…………………beyond that of human being.

Mozart’s musical sensibility which wonderfully harmonizes with “ Beauty and Simplicity” belongs to an another world.

I try listening to other pianists regularly, but I always return to Barenboim when it comes to Mozart. He is the ultimate interpreter, to me.

Ugh he has such a student approach to Mozart.. left had must be quiet, the melody line must be bought out. Everything beautiful all the time. Try listening to Bilson or Levins interpretation of Mozart.

I love Barenboim's Mozart sonatas too. Overall, he's the best. Though I noticed, for some of the adagios, female pianists like Maria Joao Pires or Yeol Eum Son play with more feeling.

So much character and life in the technique and interpretation! It's wonderful how this work finds repose at the end after all the exuberance and Barenboim made it all make sense. Great camera work as well - love the moving camera and all the different views of the keyboard and performer.

Out of 188 comments on this video, about 186 have been positive. Daniel Barenboim is a hero and I have got and constantly listen to his complete Mozart concertos. Barenboim has always been ambitious and when he was in his twenties, he worked with venerated giants like Klemperer and Barbirolli, not to mention playing for Furtwangler at the age of 11. At the time, he knew his place and revered these legendary conductors. His playing was as pristine as it was inspired. He is 50 years older now. Pianists usually age gracefully and mellow like fine wines. On the contrary, Barenboim's command of the music and the keyboard is surer than ever. He is not merely playing the piano; he is conducting it and he speaks for Mozart. Yet, is his playing not rather imperious at times? One person in this column shyly called it harsh. I concur. While he gave an overall romantic bloom to the whole sonata, there was quite a lot of forceful playing. This is characteristic of Barenboim in his old age; confident and making his interpretive points forcefully rather than beguilingly. This approach is probably more suitable for the grumpy Beethoven than the suave Mozart.

The way you express the song is very thoughtful and beautiful song. I'm learning this song, so I keep listening to it, and the expression of counting is really great. Mozart wrote this at age 21 in Manheim, trying to get a freelance gig with the Manheim court. The K.309 sonata was written for the daughter of a Manheim big wig. Still that wasn't enough to get him a job. Sadly, throughout his short life, Mozart was running around looking for, but failing, to secure permanent employment (like Haydn with the Estherhazys) in order to support his family. I think professional jealousy might be why.

It could be said in a way to interpret that Mozart’s music might suggest we humanity shouldn’t be human supremacists.

It would be no exaggeration to say that even a slight mistake in interpretting Mozart’work could trigger a fatal error in a performance of a piece.
