Jagex has its own problems (mainly customer support) but you can’t say they don’t listen to the community (regarding issues other than customer support)
fyi, what's funny is that they literally said they killed over 4000 bots.. think about that for a moment. They had that many bots just lined up.. the game literally fyi has more bots than actual players at any given time..
@@syntheziz3120 I got back into the game a year ago (quit after a couple of months), and i spent one saturday about 10 hours at bank just flipping items, in one session. This was on a fresh members account that i made for that purpose, and Blizzard banned the account after only one day lol. Never used any third party software or anything else for that matter. Perma banned, no additional explanation, no way to contact customer support. So even though these anti bot systems clean up 99% of botters, they also swing and miss

HmmWhoCanThisBe of course it is, but still, either their algorithm failed or they manually banned the account with zero hard evidence. Wrongfully banning someone is fine if it’s made up for. In my case they just ignored me and made my only route to customer support be Twitter, which.. lol
lost a lot of respect for jagex after the gay-parade fiasco.

Make accounts confirmed for botting flagged for PVP without being able to fight back in by all factions regardless of warmode.
And make their corpses lootable xD

@@neopabo... Meh, I think that is a bad idea - because then bots would continue to inflate economy and there are chance for bot killer-bots then, or owner could just slay his own bots...
So I think they just need to ban most of them and save some small amount on separate servers for botbusting show
@Otium Borealis but, again... if Jagex could correctly detect bots... why just dont ban them, why you need another system for that. And, yeah, there is a problem with bans - you could suddenly ban non-bot player by mistake, but this type of problemsolving (with restricted accounts) doesn't fix this problem

I really wish asmon would play OSRS. I'm pretty confident he'd actually enjoy it. It's a great streaming game because you can just sit back and chill with chat, but can also be very interactive.

1m platinum = 1b gold = $800.00
So just the plat at 9:56 is worth: $26,400.00

Used to sell at .95 in 2018 and that was pretty cheap.
@@rickardsvensson7097 not true at all, it used to be more like $0.7 per mill, now it's closer to $0.5. So although it definitely did drop in price, it hasn't been anywhere near $1 per mill. Trust me, I used to be an idiot that actually bought some gp back in the days when I didn't realize how easy it was to make it yourself
@@SirTipsi back in 2018 it was $1.15 to buy and about $.90-95 ish selling. If doing privately. Sure, bigger gold selling companies would sell a bit cheaper. But you still would have to cough up about $.80-.90 for 1m in 2018.
And most people would rather buy from a "private person" than the gold selling sites, since there was A LOT of scamming going on from those sites.
It was actually less risky to go on a specific site that you probably know off and find a top rated person and buy from. Thats even the case if you want a fire cape, infernal cape or even someone to train your account.
Its still more secure to find those people than actually go on the selling sites.
This is why i respect and love runescape even if i have quited long ago...this was my childhood game for 10 years.
@@KO_EN remember that if bots are more than actual players there will be no economy and prices will crash so hard because there isnt enough demand, no one can stop botting when it comes to mmos but i think jagex also profits from these bots because of bonds.
They should give the bots compensation in the form of the tutorial island starting items and then erase all skills to level 1 and tell them to try again. Or just erase the accounts entirely, then they would double their monthly revenue for new accounts because the previous one would overlap monthly payments with the new one.
Why does he keep complaining about not having a good MMO to play yet everything he sees about OSRS shows him it's amazing...

There are bots in osrs that have waaaayyyy more than 3 grand. In runsescape 3 there was a recent dupe glitch where people have more or less gotten away with about $100,000

People have been botting in runescape as early as 2002
Wowie what a dosey, if only asmon would check out OSRS Remastered progress, would really change his prospective on osrs.
Noteable is that botfarms earn 200k per year. This is counting sold goods only. It ranges from anywhere from a single euro to a million per botfarm per year but most big ones seem to get that 200k
Im sure someones told you by now but when they kill the bots it clears their banks. They most likely aren’t traveling with their most valuable items !

You really should play it Asmon... I've been playing WoW and Runescape equally since 2005. They are both games that I never stop going back to, unlike most games, where I get tired of them and never go back to them.

What blizzard should do is Either create an area players can go to to slaughter bots or they create and arena where players sit and watch in the stands and watch bots get slaughtered

Back in 2008 i was a GM on a vanilla private server it was patch 1.9.2, all i do is checking who list and port around hackers & botters as an invisible rabbit, check them out and deliver justice, we had a prison full of snakes made for punishment, you insta port there for snakes to feed on you and you keep ressing to get eaten every time till the penalty time is over, i was allowed to choose the sentence time as i wish and i was ruthless 9999 days gl with that
Its a shame that Asmongold dont realize how much he would probably love this game. I remember methodjosh joiningin being a sceptic but fell in love after a week or so.

The difference here is Jagex, is a gaming company that has ALWAYS, since inception, been all for its community. Activision Bllizzard nowadays is the definitive antithesis to Jagex. It's quite sad, at least I still have Project 1999(classic Everquest) and private servers for Vanilla/TBC/WOTLK.

Gotta disagree with you champ and this is coming from an OSRS player , it would definitely be fun to maybe watch him try it out for a few hours at most , but it would definitely kill off he's channel if he ever tried it for longer than that . Just my none biased opinion .

However, they replaced RS2 with a pay to win clownshow of a game with virtually no player support and then in the throes of its failure somehow convinced hundreds of thousands of players to start playing the old game all over again from the beginning. These gaming companies are out there to make a $. Don’t count on them for your happiness.

How do they know which ones are bots? They look like they are just standing around, instead of mining or chopping stuff.
They'd do "public" bans in Guild Wars 1 too but not like this. If you got lucky though you'd see Dhuum pop up out of the ground and scythe someone 1-shot. BANNED! Then people would gather around and laugh at him

I don't know if you were joking with the comparison to jmods and cops with cocaine but... There have been several cases of corruption where they let players slide or cover up exploits in exchange for some of the money.

There needs to be a "jury duty" in these games. Lets say someone is confirmed to be botting. The game then selects someone to be the "executioner" or "the grim reaper" by a notification. You can hit accept or decline, but if you hit accept you get teleported to where the bot is, along with a giant scythe or ban hammer. The legit players get the last words.
They actually did something similar to that in the main RuneScape game many years ago when they had a botnuke. I still have the pitchfork from that.
In the main RS game they had something called Botney Bay where, bot accounts would be on trial and you could vote on the punishment for the accounts.
Bro the mods can tale all their bank not just their inventory.
