Same here. Since the Galaxy S10 I feel like Samsung is kinda slowly becoming less impressive. And I'm a Samsung fan. But I don't feel the need to upgrade my phones as much as I used to. But phones have also become so expensive as of late. $1000 - $2000 for a phone is insane. I personally wouldnt pay 1k for any phone. Heck a decent amount of people don't even have $1000 saved in there bank accounts.

No Bluetooth is good but speakers need oftenly charging and game delays too. It's not $100, its $200. We people complain about plastic backs, but surveys have shown: nobody outside our tech community cares about glass or plastic backs. Heck, some don't even know what materials their current phone is made from! Same thing for the rest of our complaints. People have absolutely no idea that chargers that come in the box are stupidly fast chargers, and I'm willing to bet most have a multi-charger brick anyways for the whole family. Again, we care, the public doesn't. MicroSD miiiight be realised by quite a bit more of buyers, but most would just go "eh". All in all, I think I'll place my argument as this: The S20 FE 5G was touted to be excellent value, the S21 provides better cameras, adaptive refresh rate screen and better processor for just $100 more. It really depends what benchmark you use to place your expectations.

I like the feel of the 21+ in hand due to its weight and width. I honestly didn't know it was glass backed and the 21 isn't. That's how similar the backs feel.

But samsung will give you $350 for trade in for it and it comes with 128gb storage. Sounds like a good deal to me. Samsung phones are set to run at 1080 standard unless you manually up it.

Better features is always good but for most people I think they would take the $200 saving instead of a resolution increase. The brightness, color, HDR and 120hz are more important than a few pixels at this size.

For me it makes a difference I can notice, but the most important thing in my opinion is the fact that they are eliminating features that were part of the S line for a lot of years now. We can't accept the way Samsung copies Apple in the way they do business just like that. I was a fan of the Galaxy S line but not anymore at least until they change for the better.
Apple's approach is better giving all phones flagship materials with only minor unnoticeable differences, Samsung usually butchers the lower end models as if their telling customers Ultras the only way forward 😄

On android I don't care if they lost the chargers as I have lot of type c chargers lying around and lot of devices use the same thing so no issues. But apple with its lighting port bugs me. You have to carry separate cable for iphone. A first time apple buyer is at a loss. Apple causes inconvenience and samsung did too with headphone jack and storage. 256 gb is low when you have 8k recording
Apple did it too in 2013 with their iPhone 5c. But then they knew how big of a bummer it was, so discontinued that line up sooner than they usually do...

It would be different if headphones already came with compatible jacks or adapters. Or better still, they were provided by the cell phone manufactures. Instead, Samsung has chosen Apple logic, where they know best at what the consumer needs and just make the change outside of the buyer's input. My suggestion to that type of corporate thinking would be to do what I've always done with Apple products -- leave them sitting in the display cabinet.

I've had a s20 since around May last year. Definitely a good phone. Especially with the price drop when the s21 comes out. 3 years of updates too so you'll have another 2 years of updates getting it.

@@krane15 I agree there’s nothing wrong with imitation. But Samsung is under the false impression that what they’re imitating is making them a more competitive product. Samsung isn’t going to be able to imitate Apple’s walled garden, user experience, or custom silicon. So getting rid of other stuff that used to give Samsung some advantage is a head scratcher.
The change we want to see is that those android OEM's will not copy anymore those money making apple moves, such as removing charger out of the box, the removal of earphone jack (i'm not sure if its a big deal still to many as many customers already has a wireless earphone or headset)

@@Mastermoussa to be fair you can't use the s20 at 1440p with 120hz and it didn't have a headphone jack either. The only real downgrade is no expandable storage, no accessories in the box and plastic back. While significant its not like this is a budget phone.

But samsung will give you $350 for trade in for it and it comes with 128gb storage. Sounds like a good deal to me. Samsung phones are set to run at 1080 standard unless you manually up it.

@@agustin.guglielmone I know that my S6 and S7 were 1080 default to save battery and only switch up when using VR or manually selecting. Better features is always good but for most people I think they would take the $200 saving instead of a resolution increase. The brightness, color, HDR and 120hz are more important than a few pixels at this size.
@@troys.9188 Well I had the S6 edge and S8 and I think they both came with 1440p active lol. For me it makes a difference I can notice, but the most important thing in my opinion is the fact that they are eliminating features that were part of the S line for a lot of years now. We can't accept the way Samsung copies Apple in the way they do business just like that. I was a fan of the Galaxy S line but not anymore at least until they change for the better.
Apple's approach is better giving all phones flagship materials with only minor unnoticeable differences, Samsung usually butchers the lower end models as if their telling customers Ultras the only way forward 😄

Samsung is most probably doing this on purpose to make their new phones (the folding screen ones) their flagships. They want to make a transition towards flip phones by making the regular ones look outdated.

On android I don't care if they lost the chargers as I have lot of type c chargers lying around and lot of devices use the same thing so no issues. But apple with its lighting port bugs me. You have to carry separate cable for iphone. A first time apple buyer is at a loss. So many people in the comments bitching about the headphone jack that you can easily replace with a type C headset, the lack of expandable storage that you can replace with a storage drive or cloud storage if you *ReAlLy* need the space, and the lack of charger which I agree sucks.
If you like your old phone so much, then quit fake bragging about it on s21 videos for a phone you weren't planning to buy anyway. Samsung makes a million different phones, and somehow people both forget and remember that at the same time lol there's a ton of good things about these devices, and if you're just here to complain, then who are you really doing that for?

@@pavelvodnar3206 Not exactly. You see those ports were replaced for more advanced versions. These are just missing with no support for anybody using headphone. It would be different if headphones already came with compatible jacks or adapters. Or better still, they were provided by the cell phone manufactures.
Instead, Samsung has chosen Apple logic, where they know best at what the consumer needs and just make the change outside of the buyer's input. My suggestion to that type of corporate thinking would be to do what I've always done with Apple products -- leave them sitting in the display cabinet.

Love the layout of the 3 cameras at the back. Samsung did a better job than Apple's iPhone 11/12 3 camera layout (Not a fan). Love the colour combo at 3:02. I think dbrand got the cue. And I hope Samsung doesn't continue down the path of no expandable storage. Let's not take away all the things we like about you guys - leave that to Apple. I don't think following the ways of Apple is a good thing. They are going the wrong way. Stay true to you.
