so jax is not longer a mysterious mercenary which was undefeated and enjoyed fishing on his free time and being a drinking buddy with gragas? man, the old lore jax was such a bad ass that they made a special rule for him to only use the lamp post as a weapon or else he wouldnt be allowed in side the league, now hes looking for help to fend off monsters? pfff thanks rito
if anything, he is far more badass now. He use the lampost by his own choice to have a challenge and not accidentaly kill his oppoent. Which mean he still OP but now also have more personality than just a meat head warrior who just want to fight
i dunno man, i feel they are weighing him down, the whole reason why he was forced to use a lamp post before was becouse he was so damn strong compared to anyone else, making him look for help to fend of monsters that attacked his place is almost as saying "yeah no, hes not -that- strong anymore lol" to me
KumoKitzuo he never fight monster in his old lore. Also he is only strong in a duel not in a handicap situation. The void creatures wont go solo with him, they will attack in number, that is why he need help

I liked his old lore better too. It wasn't so much that he was fleshed out as a character as much as he is now, which allows us to see him more as a character, but it was awesome that the original lore made him the Mohamed Ali of the League. He was just a guy nobody ever heard of before but kicked everyone's ass, he wasn't some hero or someone who wielded extraordinary magic, he was a guy who had insane dueling prowess and could lay out anyone in a duel with any weapon and many styles of fighting. He was so powerful that even the lore had to nerf him, for crying out loud that shit is hilarious.
Though I'll give credit to riot for keeping the fact that he's a ridiculous duelist a part of his character, it's just the fact that the League of Legends is no longer a tangible thing in the lore that makes many holes in his previous lore. It is also kinda nice how they hint that Fiora is essentially Jax's companion in kicking ass.
So jax...can't like..take a shower? if he doesnt know what his skin looks like.

It isn't that he cannot show his skin. He just happens to not have shown his skin since the Void warped him. It doesn't mean he will never or is unable to, I think he's still just not mentally prepared to see what his own body looks like now.

Super late, but I believe it is because if jax and fiora were to fight to the death, chances are when one dies it would be very confusing to see them in the rift very much alive
well yeah, in the lore fiora has never lost a duel, and jax is extremely skilled too. So it would be a fight to the death
He is likely not a monster originally. Jax is probably like Kassadin, a human that got corrupted by the void. However I would say he was an original inhabitant of Icathia that survived the ritual that spawned the void rift in the city. Jax is probably the only surviving inhabitant of Icathia.

Jax is the type of person who will need every kind of love and care, considering how his life is. A mother to love, a father to care, a sister to scold and some pet dog to make itself cuddle by Jax. His lore is ...SAD. A lonely warrior. The strongest warrior.

in the old lore jax was so OP that when he joined league his team won 126 times in a row (or something like that), they made him use a lampost to even the odds

I love the mists of pandaria music. It really fits jax.

But in the spirit of the Institute, the League eventually relented, stating that a champion’s skill was no reason to remove a realm’s access to the governing powers of the tournaments. Jax was reinstated, but with one rule: He is only allowed to fight with weapons the League deems suitable. For now, that list includes a lamppost, a chicken’s foot, a spatula, and a fishing rod.

Great video once again! I really got intrigued by his lore. This made me want to play him. I played top. 1st opponent Fiora. Ok. Thank god we remake. Next game. (Which is currently loading) my opponent: Aatrox. Coincidence? I think not.

thank you for doing my main and favorite champion now that i think of it when i was noob at lol he said stick with jax at top lane and when i got 1300 ip i bought jax and now i see he isnt only good with gameplay his lore matches with his gameplay his truly a champion indeed

his lore right now is really short. Since riot didnt let him have a proper lore after the retcon. So necrit would have to use the old lore which should be consider non cannon for now

i never always like ur videos the button i mean but thats only cuz am always rushing to the next video ur videos are amazing and the way ur telling the story is overwhelming honestly i enjoy all the videos u made i really liked thte darken theory too bad they canceled it aatrox is my favorite champions lore wise and in the game the problem is that he is outdated and riot forgot all about him of all the champions his lore can put sooo big influence in the over all story and with the fact his only friend is tahm kench is so interesting i wish we can get more of his story and some rework on the champion it self but riot are taking too long am not saying making awesome stories is easy but we need sth for our old champions too, regardless of that thanks for your effort the lore stories are all amazing.
I'm sure Jax is either a Darkin or he will get a Darkin weapon from attrox in the future skin for Jax. Attrox new interaction says"Jax being a worthy vessel" for him.

So many lores link up with the Void now... So I'm waiting, waiting for updated lore for Malzahar, he is my favorite champion and i love his current lore (even tho its old and short compared to new stories)

When you think about it his ult being a hhuge defenive buff like nasus and renektons is simlar and it also provides damage like theirs in its third strike. and all 3 have auto attack resets being nasus q renektons w and jaxes w.

Actually now that I think about it Jax might agree to becoming the hero of demacia if a void portal opens in demacia. He might not want demacians to be killed by the voidlings. and also Fiora's family needs to gain this honor back so this might be a way for that to happen.
