Fun fact about Jax. His ult is a two-parter. Passive for bonus magic damage every third hit (the sound when he rings her out). And the active gives him bonus armor/magic res based on his ATK/AP making Jax abnormally tanky for a moment even(/especially) when he builds full damage.

At this point there should be a Jax 1v5 animation of him juggling between his own weapon and the enemy team's weapons throughout fighting them all at once

It will be a long comment praising the animation. It is said that you can recognize master at arms by his legwork. I will try my best to put into words how awesome this duel is, based on that alone. All you have to do is focus on how both of them walk and you will see so much more. At the very start 1:33 Jax stance is as low to the ground as possible, legs wide, you can see how he stands firm yet flexible, an unmovable object that will bend, but not break. His weapon posed across his body to be ready for block or attack, pointing downward at Fiora's feet, because he can already see what is going on. Fiora's stance is flamboyant, awkward, she's showing off, she is leaned forward, but her knees are straight. She is stiff and because of that looks like she would have to correct her stance from but a gentle push. And then it starts. Her first swing and she is constantly on straight legs with wide strides, leaning as much forward as she can, while jax moves, almost dances around, keeping his stance in ideal shape, where every part of his body is close to the center of balance. He never has to overcompensate steps, he keeps them as small as possible, he is as close to the ground as can be. 1:45 is perfection as he tip-toes his way to Fiora with relentless barrage, while Fiora has to take wider and wider steps backwars to keep her footing and Jax lands a "blow" right after she fails to stand ground and has to flip around, loosing her footing. And the best part is Jax underestimates her now and does the exact same error, mere seconds later. He jumps away from her and even though it might look like he nails landing, he fails it twice, as with further moves his feet come more and more apart making standing up after consecutive dodges impossible It is a masterwork of animation, just because the animator clearly knows how fight should look between two skilled people. Footwork is the literal foundation of fighting. Fumble a simple step and everything else falls down, no matter how fancy your technique is. Do yourself a favour, dear reader. Watch it again, focus on how they walk, slow down if you feel you need to take it in bit by bit, as did I and enjoy the show of master animator showing off how to make characters trully fight.

American here, to be honest, it doesn't quite make sense in context. Maybe she wants Jax to follow her for a follow-up date. Maybe they didn't expect anyone to translate the French and just shoehorned in a French-dubbed Fiora phrase to make her sound French. I honestly don't know, it's not terribly clear, and if it's slang, it's a colloquialism I've never heard before.
Depends on who is the better player between them. Jax can hold his stun for a brief moment so if Fiora parries in that time frame she wouldn't be able to parry the stun therefore Jax wins, but if the Fiora times it perfectly and parries the stun she wins.
This is straight up one of the best animated fights I have seen. The animations are smooth and the action is easy to follow. It's over the top enough that it looks awesome, but grounded enough that it looks like it could be done. The pacing and momentum of the video are phenomenal, slowly building tension and giving breaks to take it in...Yeah, this is simply great and I wish I had found it sooner.

I just started watching this, but for the record, Jax literally should not lose this fight. They gave him a weapon. His lore is literally 'he's so strong that he's not allowed to use real weapons because he'd beat everyone single handedly'. That's why he uses a lantern/paddle/whatever in the game.
Notice how for the entire match, Jax has been toying with Fiora but not using the pointy end of his weapon. Even with a real weapon, Jax still likes to challenge himself.
A Random Guy We aren't talking about the game, though. The game separates from the lore. Jax's lore is literally that he cannot lose fights. Everyone in the League is scared of his prowess.
I think Jax would win. After all, the institute of war did give him a lamp to fight with (and not a "real" weapon) and his duels usually end with his opponents unconscious with lamp-shaped bruises.
All I'm saying is that it already exists and that is pretty good, I'm not saying it's made by a better animator. The animation and the animator of Shen vs Zed, and it took him 8 months to finish it. I say he did a pretty good damn job.
Lore-wise, I think Zed would be a lot stronger than Shen, though. Think about it; when Zed was fucking up the old Kinkou order, it was one of him against Shen, Akali, and Kennen. I doubt that Zed had any champion-level ninjas under him, so he probably won the 1v3 to destroy old Kinkou.
Darkeh mix well based on jax’s lore, that doesnt really affect him. He can somewhat stand toe to toe with darius and garen at the same time and it would still be a close fight

Amazing. Sooooo glad they made Jax win. The first ever league match I played was at a LAN party and the guy who introduced the other 8 of us to league played Jax. I remember he solo stomped us sooo hard and to this day I've loved Jax's lore and history.

And then when they actually gave him the right to use a weapon he kept the lamp post as a show of defiance and as a personal challenge. Truly the champ.
it proves that Jax has more Natural Battle skill than fiora, she has fancy dueling training, but jax has experience, with both the fair and the dirty kind of fighters, because in a fight, oftentimes the victor is the one smart enough to take whatever opportunity was presented to them

From time to time i always come back to this video, and god damn it still gives me the chills the music, the choreography, the voice acting, the animation, EVERYTHING! It's just so inspiring and awesome
+Bizzarobre Jax was originally a no-named Mercenary. Most candidates for the League are well-known, have exceptional talents, and are recruited. Jax applied and was accepted on his performance alone, despite no one having heard of him. He then went on to best all of the League's Champions in tournament style fighting, being so unstoppable that the league was forced to put restrictions on his fighting style in order to give other fighter's a chance. In protest, Jax decided to limit himself, fighting with a lamppost as his only weapon. Unfortunately, he still consistently wins, retaining his self-given title of Grandmaster at Arms. Again, all this despite being a nobody random soldier who thought the League sounded interesting. His biggest buff will be when he decides to use a real weapon.
we know he probably is the grandmaster of the proving grounds.....the moment he disappeared Jax appeared and joined the competition (a thing that the grandmaster was not allowed)

When I thought Shock was amazing, I saw his RHGs. When I thought his RHGs were amazing, I saw some of his early full body animations. When I thought those were amazing, he started creating summoner showdowns. This guy just doesn't stop!

For all the people out there who says that ''I doubt Fiora can match Jax's strength'' you are right, but there is a lot more behind that. In the animation, we can see that she didn't really went for an strength game with him (Since in no point of the fight Fiora actually tried to have a direct weapon-to-weapon clash with Jax unless she could get something out of it, like when she lunged after being thrown) What she was really doing was parrying, avoiding and redirecting the attacks with her sword so Jax's pole would not get a direct hit while looking for a window to do damage. The reason why Fiora was able to hold on for so much time was because of that, pure swordplay skill; Although, Jax has a bigger advantage on Strength and resistance, and was able to overcome her defensive skills by predicting what she would do to avoid his damage between her movements. There's actually a lot of theory behind the art of Hand-to-Hand Combat and is really interesting. That's why I enjoy Fiora vs Jax lore so much, because even though Jax has a little bit of an upper hand, the outcome of the battle comes from pure, raw skill between the two, And as a Jax Main, I really love going against a Fiora toplane just because of that.
If you go by lore. Fiora loses no matter what. That’s the reason Jax has a lamp post as a weapon because he was too strong with a real weapon, which it looks like he used some sort of pike in this video

Maybe they didn't expect anyone to translate the French and just shoehorned in a French-dubbed Fiora phrase to make her sound French. I honestly don't know, it's not terribly clear, and if it's slang, it's a colloquialism I've never heard before.

In game, if Jax tries to stun Fiora, she will parry. So you never use it unless you want to escape.
Depends on who is the better player between them. Jax can hold his stun for a brief moment so if Fiora parries in that time frame she wouldn't be able to parry the stun therefore Jax wins, but if the Fiora times it perfectly and parries the stun she wins.

This is straight up one of the best animated fights I have seen. The animations are smooth and the action is easy to follow. It's over the top enough that it looks awesome, but grounded enough that it looks like it could be done. The pacing and momentum of the video are phenomenal, slowly building tension and giving breaks to take it in...Yeah, this is simply great and I wish I had found it sooner.

I just started watching this, but for the record, Jax literally should not lose this fight. They gave him a weapon. His lore is literally 'he's so strong that he's not allowed to use real weapons because he'd beat everyone single handedly'. That's why he uses a lantern/paddle/whatever in the game.

Notice how for the entire match, Jax has been toying with Fiora but not using the pointy end of his weapon. Even with a real weapon, Jax still likes to challenge himself.

I think Jax would win. After all, the institute of war did give him a lamp to fight with (and not a "real" weapon) and his duels usually end with his opponents unconscious with lamp-shaped bruises.

Sooooo glad they made Jax win. The first ever league match I played was at a LAN party and the guy who introduced the other 8 of us to league played Jax. I remember he solo stomped us sooo hard and to this day I've loved Jax's lore and history.
chunnin33 Me too, but mostly because it wouldn't make sense lore-wise of he lost. Jax with a weapon was too much for the League so they stripped him of them and gave him a lamp.
And then when they actually gave him the right to use a weapon he kept the lamp post as a show of defiance and as a personal challenge. Truly the champ.

From all the fight animation I've seen so far whether it's from a big budget movie, series or amateur animations, these summoner showdowns has hands down the best fight animation imo.

+Bizzarobre Jax was originally a no-named Mercenary. Most candidates for the League are well-known, have exceptional talents, and are recruited. Jax applied and was accepted on his performance alone, despite no one having heard of him. He then went on to best all of the League's Champions in tournament style fighting, being so unstoppable that the league was forced to put restrictions on his fighting style in order to give other fighter's a chance. In protest, Jax decided to limit himself, fighting with a lamppost as his only weapon. Unfortunately, he still consistently wins, retaining his self-given title of Grandmaster at Arms. Again, all this despite being a nobody random soldier who thought the League sounded interesting. His biggest buff will be when he decides to use a real weapon.

For all the people out there who says that ''I doubt Fiora can match Jax's strength'' you are right, but there is a lot more behind that. In the animation, we can see that she didn't really went for an strength game with him (Since in no point of the fight Fiora actually tried to have a direct weapon-to-weapon clash with Jax unless she could get something out of it, like when she lunged after being thrown) What she was really doing was parrying, avoiding and redirecting the attacks with her sword so Jax's pole would not get a direct hit while looking for a window to do damage. The reason why Fiora was able to hold on for so much time was because of that, pure swordplay skill; Although, Jax has a bigger advantage on Strength and resistance, and was able to overcome her defensive skills by predicting what she would do to avoid his damage between her movements. There's actually a lot of theory behind the art of Hand-to-Hand Combat and is really interesting. That's why I enjoy Fiora vs Jax lore so much, because even though Jax has a little bit of an upper hand, the outcome of the battle comes from pure, raw skill between the two, And as a Jax Main, I really love going against a Fiora toplane just because of that.
