I got given the Isuzu as a company hack which unfortunately I didn't test drive beforehand. @ 6'1" I'm fairly long in the leg, I couldn't get my leg under the steering wheel,, to apply the brake I had to swing my kne out to the side so I could get my foot on the brake. More troubling was my knee could contact the ignition key and at one stage switched the car off whilst doing 80kmh. The problem is that the steering is only tilt adjust, for me even with the seat in the lowest position to reach the steering comfortably (wrists on the top of wheel) the legs couldn't clear the wheel, to get the leg clearance the wheel was almost out of reach. Raising these issues at work it was deemed a safety hazard so it was swapped with a shorter co-worker who loves it. That issue aside, the MUx was quite a nice vehicle to drive with a very impressive drive train. I've had company cars for 20 years and apart from measuring up the cargo space have never test driven one, after this I am from now on
best advice we got from some friends of ours was to try both of them because they both have a good side and bad side. the Colorado still hasn't failed us yet with the power and the size a great upgrade from a 2.8 GQ patrol.
andrew b Hilux was better back in the days when cars were not made out of plastic, now in 2014 the DMax is a "better" machine than the hilux, it has a better chassis, better engine and better transmission. Better seats also.. Here in my country we get the best versions of both of them but the hilux brakes down twice faster than the DMax, we've compared them in our company were they're taken to their limits everyday.

Or perhaps the Chev Trailer Blazer is a Holden Colorado :-) Either way, are any of them made in the US or Australia? Nope. The funny thing is there are plenty of cars running around that have Chev badges but are really Daewoo, such as the Cruz and the Malibu. At least the Malibu badges as a Holden Malibu come out of the South Korean Daewoo factory, as does the Cruz in the UK. The best Holden is still made in Australia. The Commodore, Calais and The Caprice. The latter being used in one of the police departments on the east coast of the US.
I'd prefer that GM brings both versions to the USA. but instead of a GMC version, they should just ship the Isuzu version here. To bring Isuzu back into the passenger CSR market.
It would be great if GM releases the Colorado 7 in the U.S. as the Chevy Trailblazer. It looks a little more capable that Toyota 4Runner. Holden is missing out on the great interior of the U.S. Colorado and Chevrolet/GMC is missing out on Holden's off-road capability. bit.ly/1A1BpLw

In power probably colorado 7 wins, but I would go with the mu-x cause it feels more comfortable than the colorado 7 even if mu-x has lesser power.
