Do you do PMV and Salmonella at the same time with two separate needles or do you just do PMV? I read that they can be combined. Ordered both and going to be doing them myself for the first time on all the birds.
You can do both pmv and salmonella at the same time. The only question has been can you mix the two and dose it combined-that requires the vaccines to each be water based (previously one was water based and the other oil based so they didn’t mix together). Definitely no problem giving each dose separately at the same time. Good luck!

I go by the expiration date. Mine expires Sept 2021 and I got it July 2020. I always ask the distributor how long to the expiration date before I purchase it. It comes with 100 doses. Those who keep hundreds of birds won’t need to worry about it expiring prior to using all of it but I need it to last as I only keep 30-50 birds. It is too expensive to have it go to waste.
@@PabSuarez thanks for the comment. Can you please direct me to a medical/veterinary reference for that claim? I don’t think you have to use it all in one go (unless it is an mRNA based vaccine). As long as you keep the vaccine cold it should be fine with the rubber seal until its expiration date.

The onset of protection occurs one month after inoculation, the duration of protection is 12 months.

You should (must) use the vaccine the same day, after that...DON´T use it......and the syringe should be smaller...

Sorry to hear that! Isolate that bird from the rest of your birds immediately. If it is PMV at this point I don't think there is much you can do. :'(
