Regarding their prophylaxis idea. I am not sure if that is a good method. In my opinion that is just eliminating the weak bacterias and leaving the strongest ones to survive and stronger against that particular prophylaxis medication. Just my 2cents opinion. I would still prefer the more natural way and let the pigeons natural immune system react. I do understand that they are pacifying thousands of owners that have large investments in these races. Thanks for the video Frank.
Geoff Armand compliments fanciers that use natural health but not all pigeons are strong enough to be mixed with many strange pigeons and remain healthy, A bacteria that does not harm a pigeon in one loft can be deadly to another loft. Victoria Falls does what is needed to get as many pigeons as possible healthy and happy. A fancier working on their on pigeons can treat them differently than a one loft race. The first couple months when thousands are mixed it is almost impossible to keep them healthy with only natural products. Once they are healthy Victoria Falls use immune system boosters , natural products and proper nutrition.
Geoff did complement the fanciers that use natural because their pigeons are stronger than the average pigeon. Problem is the big One Loft Races must use antibiotics because they are mixed with birds from so many fanciers and countries.
I agree. I use no meds and rarely have a sick one. He's trying to humor the guys who think meds are necessary and they may be for pigeons that have been raised on them for generations. It won't hurt my naturally healthy pigeon though if I had birds in the race.
Great video Frank! Thanks for posting for those of us who will never see this loft
.. Nice! Touring the inside of the loft with a glass of wine.. The only way to do it!.. 🙂🍷🍷
That was a great insight into the running of the station, and food for thought regarding vaccination . That's a great holiday ...
Happy you liked it.
