That's a big boy workout. Sheesh. How could the average runner not root for the dudes running their asses off with no team sponsor. You and all the guys are easy personalities to like as well.
I love how sweat elite brings us so many different types of athletes. We go from Hobbs Kessler to Sam Long to Empire Elite all in one week! Best running channel on TH-cam
There will be coaches who do not buy it and want a 2-3 min full recovery or walk effort between max efforts to avoid injury but there is an argument to be made to keep the lactic acid from settling in between intervals too.
While I love the podcast, sometimes you just need a vlog to bring the workout to life. Love the fact these guys are out on their own and have the belief in their coach and abilities.
Athletes training under the great Hungarian coach Mihaly Igloi never knew what the workout was - either before or during the workout. He believed that just by observing the runners during the session he would know when to call a halt ot give them even more work.
Great video showing what it takes to be your best. It would be helpful if you augmented video with text showing workout with recovery time and pace as percentage of race pace. The coach said 103% of 800 race pace for the 1st 600. This is helpful in trying to know how to apply workout for less elite runners.
@@sweatelite Sorry I formulated my question wrong. What are the flush reps good for and what are the benefits when doing them? Is it to do more volume, but I doubt it is for that. In Switzerland I have never heard somebody do that. great video by the way
@@valentinegger8870 to flush out lactic and get rid of the burning sensation before starting the next rep. it's basically like easy jogging instead of standing there and letting lactic acid sit in your legs
@@valentinegger8870 They would be slow runs to avoid lactic acid build up between 4-5 min interval breaks. But there is also down time between these max efforts, ie walking around and getting fluids.
I feel like Eric has the humor and dgaf attitude of someone who is in the army. Overshares a little, tells an off-color joke here and there, and ribs the newbies.
We really appreciate you coming out and filming our workout! Thanks for shedding some light on our team!
u looked crazy good on that last rep big things coming this szn for sure

These guys are so inspiring. No sponsor just trust in their coach and each other!! Instant favorite of mine.
These boys just went 1-2-3 at Music City with three new 800m PBs 💪
Always a good day when you see a sweat elite upload
🙏
I like the flush 200’s concept… great idea John
John was a savage in his day!!

I love this coach. This is what I do to my student athletes. I leave them in the dark on the workouts we are doing. They love/hate me for it. Lol

Brutal knowing they have another 6 when they don’t lol
Great video. I’m just picturing Clark saying the Billy Madison “he’s good”. Keep it up guys!
“Oh thank god I thought you were going to say 600.” & they finish with a 600 haha
Coach is wearing a vintage Massive Attack t-shirt 👍🏻
Yk they’re fast when they made 5 min pace ‘recovery’ look like a walk in the park
Crazy workout great vid
Not enough shoe changes during the workout IMO
We joked at the workout that a record may have been broken
Absolute banger
Killer kick
Would be interesting to know total recovery time between reps !
Nice training though
Just a guess. 2 min off after the max efforts - then 4 x 200 jogs with 30 sec walk in between each then 2 min before next max effort.
Is been nice watching this training
Nice workout ❤
DAM THEY ARE FASTTTTT
How many times a week do you do this
For the 1600m run nike Good shoe name?
What was the rest, I didn’t catch it lol
why the 4 x 2 slow (for them) recovery?
Hazem 🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬💪💪💪
I like this specific
does the european dude have asperbergs?
You mean Eric Holt? He’s not European.
Really cool video
What was the pace on the flush 200s? And what was the recovery btwn the 4
5:15-5-20/mile
Does somebody know what the 4x200m are good? I reslly wonder because I have never heard somebody do that
Yes they are good
