@Th3 twitch police -wow, I can see them being a little stiff. I’ve had a pair for almost 3 years. The right foot is starting to wear because of the kicker. I have been thinking of a higher quality boot, but 500$ IDK
I have no problems with my wide foots in the Atojo. They are also a lot lighter than my old Tech 7 and I have a better peg feeling. Problem with my Atojo are the inside rubber. After 6 months I lost the large one on both sides.
I have the atojo. I won’t go back to anything else. No issue with my wide ass foot. Also going from a tech7 to the atojo I didn’t have a problem with peg feel. Love the boots. I took the sole off, put the SRS enduro sole on and I was good to go. Awesome boots. Caroli and Prado designed a badass boot.
a bit too stiff uder your foot in my opinion. after i landed on my legs and impact tore my ACL caused little fracture i wish i had a bit softer landing. this was landing on hard gravel road though. i have 6 more moths to watch gear videos until i can ride again, 😀. 4 months off the bike already.
Hi RMA, great review BTW,I'm looking at boots atm, just tore the lisfranc tendon in my foot while out riding singles, 7 weeks in so far, 5 weeks left in Can boot, which boot do you think would give me better protection. Cheers
I just rode in the Gaerne SG22 and it is probably my favorite boot right now. I'll have a ride review up shortly, but when it comes to support and protection, it's very good, and a Gaerne will last you longer than any other boot. - Chase
Hi I jusfT has Hi Hi I just had a tip over wearing Daytona Roadstar boots. My foo swelled to twice normal size. I got my foot caught under the bike at the main stand. I had to wait for a passerby to help my mate to lift 224 kg Nc750x off me. I don’t want a repeat. I ride bumpy potholed tarmac and gravel roads mainly. I want crush protection as I’ve had 2 tip overs in 6 months and go stuck twice. These boots are on my shortlist and do have narrow feet but durability and walk ability would be a bonus. Which would you recommend?
The tag on the inside of my sg12’s says they’re made from microfiber, not full grain leather. My boots are dated 07/22. They must have switched to microfiber now.
I have a pair of Crossfire SRS, made in Italy, this is important to me. I bought them in Las Vegas, I decided I would change up my buying process and do like some snowboarders, buy one half size smaller for a lighter more compact boot. This was a bit of a mistake, as they are okay for the first couple of hours.... then become a blood circulation cut off. I have owned and used 4 pairs of FOX instinct boots, they are good, but the materials are greatly lower quality, they do not breath and you will sweat lots in them... MADE IN CHINA. The fact they are made in CHINA is a burn the resume for me now and no matter if its car, suv, truck parts .... NMC no more China!!!! The SG12 I bought when I was living a year in Barcelona Spain, hand down the best boot I have worn for Motocross, Extreme enduro, Dual Sport motorcycling, and even snowboarding!!! MADE IN ITALY buy people with PRIDE in the work and craftsmanship! My advice SG-12 only no matter the cost, best protection, longest lasting MX/SX/EX boot on the market... Braaaappp! DMV47
The key "Premium boot" When it comes to boots this good, you pick the one that feels the way you prefer and has the features you want. There is no winner!
Hey chase, I’ve been looking at getting a pair of SG12’s but I’m unsure about what size I should get. I usually wear an 8.5, but I don’t see that any of them come in that. Would you suggest I go a half size up or down?
Hey James, sorry for the late reply. We get so many comments that sometimes I miss a few. If you haven't got an answer to this yet or bought boots, I would tell you to go up to a size 9 in the SG12. - Chase
@@rmatvmc no worries, I know you got your hands full over there. Thank you for the reply! I don’t need new boots yet, I’ve just kinda been window shopping them cause I’m not really satisfied with my current ones. I’ll try a 9, thank you!
How long does it take for Gaerne SG12 to soften? They are very tough when they go shopping. The seller claims they will remain more flexible. They were flexible before using the Sidi Crossfire 1, 2 , 3. I want to try something else. Would you recommend Gaerne SG12?
All boots I literally wear around the house all night for a week and go on a two lap jog around a soccer field and they work from the first ride everyitme. Been a fool proof way to break in boots. Heat, sweat, movement.
How long would you guys typically expect the soles to last for? The soles on my sidi’s are finished after 18 months. I would say I ride 2 enduro’s a month on average. I’m about to put new soles on my sidi’s but if the soles were not replaceable, then that would become very expensive. Cheers
How do the atojo's fit compared to the sidi x-power? I purchased the x-powers in size 10 and my toes feel cramped from the width. I normally wear a size 10. My foot isn't super wide, but just wearing them around the house my feet start to get uncomfortable. Is this normal for the break-in period and will they start to pack out? Or Should I try sizing up to an 11 or exchange them for the sg-12's? I like the price, style, and weight of the x-powers. I live in the pnw and only ride trail so I was looking for more of a enduro-style boot. Any help is appreciated.
Sidis are just known to be narrow. If the X-Power is narrow feeling for you, I'd probably go with the SG12. If you do get an SG12, I highly recommend putting some better insoles inside them. The ones that come are paper thin and wear out super fast. - Chase
Can you do cheaper boots like the fox comp boot next, I think doing a cheaper boot like that will be great for people watching that are just beginning riding and don't wanna go full out yet. Obviously the high end boot are better but not everybody can afford them.
@@benblessed9991 I think it would provide good insight for newer riders or ppl on a budget, I said the fox comp bc my brother bought them bc they were cheap and he hate them, so doing some cheap boots like the fox comp would provide good insight
I got 25 hr on my atojo n the sole fell off, sidi offered me 40% off new boots, I said foh n ordered SG12s. video on my page. sidi needs to use better adhesive on sole. I used 3M Wind shield glue.
That is frustrating and a bummer to hear. But I think you might have just had a sour apple. We have riders here who have the ATOJOs and the CF3 with much more than 25 hours and their soles are fine. In fact, I haven't heard of anyone else having that issue. Shouldn't have to worry about that with the SG12 being a stitched on sole. - Chase
@@rmatvmc nothing against RMATV, I ordered my SG12s from you. Just messed up MotoNation/sidi doesn't do the right thing. I shouldn't have to fix they're faulty product.
I actually prefer Sidi buckle system. Gaerne buckles were coming undone on me after a dismount. Sidi’s just never come undone. Not a single time. Also will never buy a boot with a metallic sole cap. This is a good way to destroy your decals and scratch engine covers to death with no added value for motocross.
Have a set of Atojo’s now for 6-8 months, I’m in love with them. Have owned the new generation Tech 10 and SG12 and won’t be going back.
I've had the sg-12 and personally loved them. Lasted for a while, though they had great support, wish I would've bought another pair

Thorough review. Really hit the points I wanted
Had a hyperflexion injury with the Atojos riding enduro. I’m now looking for a more protective boot as I’ve lost a bit of faith
Gaerne SG12 fit me better...the weight of the sg12 has never been an issue..🏁
Both boots are awesome top of the line...
No comparison, the Gaerne SG-12 is THE best boot on the market, hands down

I just got the SG-12s in that blue in the mail today from you guys. They are beautiful!!!!
Lucky! I want those haha. - Chase
I just got a good deal on Crossfire 3 SRS's and I couldn't be happier, but those Atojo's look absolutely amazing!
I hope for your sake they don't fall apart, worth a watch: th-cam.com/video/_GeUHEBxBDk/w-d-xo.html
Rather have sd12 cuz feet swell and comfort is crucial.never had a boot I really loved tho.

I had a problem with the sg12 where the bottom strap had almost torn off with just a little bit of stitching left

18 months is a good amount of time for a sole to last. It also really depends on the rider. Some riders are harder on soles than others.

both of them ,, i choose sidi, lighter, fit for foot,
gaerne, to tight, like useless ankle function
Sidi have fallen down in quality ! Fall apart after one day Gearn SG-12 are the best by miles !!!!
From what I understand is only the cheaper sidi boots are not made in Italy. I believe the premium editions are still made in italy
what amissed chance to say toe to toe at the beggining

The crossfire 3 is a fine looking boot, the Atojo is the ugly cousin you hide in the closet and never let out. The Gaerne isa beast of a boot
It might not be the best looking, but I would take the ATOJO over the CF3 any day.- Chase
14:25 Durability huh.. If you want durability stay away from Sidi all together.
