How are these vs the comp for someone who just trail rides? I wanted those boots but got too good of a deal to pass on the comps. Ive had the comps for about two weeks now and they had literally no break in. They are definitely a lot better than the AXO boots i wore years ago.
AJ, checked the site for details and have a predicament, I dont currently own a bike tho im an SC native that would love to attend/photograph that training day, is that something youve accommodated prior and if so would you mind sharing that events details with me? thx
The way AJ interacts with the kids makes me hope he's a dad...what lucky kids to have such a patient and understanding teacher! As an old guy on a budget, I wear A-Star Tech 3's...which, I think, are made of wood.
I've been looking at the new Fox Comp Lineup for a little while now, since I ride mostly Enduro, I am gonna probably jump into the Fox Motion X, wish they came in white as that is how I normally roll! great review!
I would say in the enduro world its kinda common knowledge the Fox boots are by far the worst quality and they might as well be paper as far as safety. Gearne Sg 12 is the way to go.
what is a good ladies boot, i want boots because i ride some of my friends quads sometimes and i use my normal shoes and i only have a helmet goggles and gloves do some of the things you teach translate over to quad riding
Every plastic boot has always felt like my foot was in a torture device. I have wide like Barney Ruble wide feet. I was looking for a new boot and rhe shop guy said these just came out and said they fit different than the old models. I figured I would see if I could squeeze into them. They fit snug but not uncomfortable at all. Bought them. After a few rides my feet are thanking me! Feel like I should buy a couple extra pairs like I do sneakers for when these wear out.
We all understand the need for support and protection from out boots. But there is also a need for feel and control. I believe Fox does a great job at balancing the two ... at least at allowing you to feel and control. From my limited experience I believe Alpinestar leans a little more toward support and protection, but still does a decent job at feel and control. I feel Fox leans a little more towards feel and control, but still provides decent protection. Since I don't ride at a high level, I will always opt for the extra comfort, feel, and control of Fox boots. I grew up riding with sneakers, and as an adult I tried moving to actual boots, and could not do it. My introduction to boots were some entry level Fly Racing Maverick boots (2008), and they were tooooo hard and stiff. They literally felt like I had two casts on my feet. If that was the only option, I would go back to sneakers, or would just not ride. I just couldn't do it. I couldn't even shift with ANY level of consistency. Horrible feeling. Then I moved on to a used pair of Fox Comp 5, which allowed me to feel and have movement. It was obvious that they were lacking in support and protection, but at least I could use them. They ended up kinda falling apart, and I moved on to some Alpinestars Tech 5's. The Tech 5's were stiffer and offered more protection, but were still comfortable and usable to me. That's where I am currently. But if I was looking for new boots, I would definitely consider these Fox Motions.

Same here(old dude) I have been trying to ride in some regular soled tech 8 for two years and still can't feel my shifter.
What happened to the video of Jett riding your straight rhythm 2stroke bike???

I bought the Tech 7s and miss my Fox boots...
Scam. You joined TH-cam 2 days ago and are already giving away a bike…and that’s not how Buttery gives away bikes. I’ve tried.
Lol you’d never know if you don’t get the giveaway, maybe you’ve never won a giveaway
@@Buttery_films scam. Do you want me to spend $1000 to cover shipping or am I supposed to buy gift cards to cover the refund?
@@mxhusky5308 cover what funds?
It’s a free shipping to your address, and no fund is required if it’s called a free giveaway,
Are you on drugs or something?
Bro I have fox comps and i have had a rlly bad experience with them I literally have to use a rubber mallet to get the latches to close lol
I would highly consider upgrading to these! The new buckle system is awesome!
The question is does the rubber mallet come standard with the boot purchase ?
Jimmy, just need spray a little wd40 on them. My son has them and had the same issue. It happens when they get dirty. My sons work great now
They just need a little lube. Even a splash of water works. Then save up and upgrade to some Gearne's😁
@@law_merica yes I have the motions and they are great but the plates under the claps bend when dirty - they fatal flaw- good as long as clean
Sounds like a nice boot, unfortunately I already purchased the tech 7🤔
Tech 7 is an amazing boot. Don't sweat it.
Even tech 3's are better quality than fox boots
Tech 7’s are the best boot out, super supportive.
@@guyonthecouch136 definitely not 😂
@@Duke_803 each to their own, you must love the supple feel of no support or protection
Can i have one, that is one of my dreams..
I broke my hand on concrete floor and didn't go to hospital for it does that prove I'm suicidal yet
Do not buy fox boots they are so poorly made they will fall apart
New training techniques, just run around the track chasing people.
Keep the adults off the pit bikes, bad things happen !
I was first aj
