Honda civic Lx 2006 Error code P0685 ECM/PCM radio random power off, quick and easy solution.

I'm working on a 2006 v4 Honda civic that has a electrical problem. This Tutorial will hopefully help solve your problem if you're facing the same symptoms.

I had my 2006 Civic C Android Radio shutting off, than I get a replacement and the replacement was working fine for 1 day and it just shut off randomly. I guess was the battery and I even wanted to replace with a $240 battery. Before I replace it, I sanded the Positive and Negative of the battery, and so far no turning off. Also, before when I was driving at night, I notice the headlights kinda flickers or dimmed, I thought it was normal. Drove last night no more flickers, simple totally normal. So by sanding not only fixed the radio but the lights as well. Thanks for the tip!

Check the ECM relay and swap it already it is 90% the culprit not the battery terminals, you will get intermittent engine shutdowns if not corrected properly as this relay feeds injectors and coils besides the ECM

Is this relay under the dash in the fusebox?

@@subliminal128 there are 2 PGM-FI replays for 06-11 honda civic #1 is in the
Engine Compartment Fuse Box R7 and #2 is the kick panel fuse box R2

mine started having intermittent shutdowns and now it fully shut off and can’t turn on. it tries to turn on but can’t. we replaced the ECM relay but it didn’t work. any ideas?

This really solved my problem. Thank you so much! My red cover on my battery was lost. I guess that was the cause.
