Yes, the instructors encourage you to take the practice test as many times as you can. It’s actually required for you to do the practice test while you’re down there.
What about electronic apprentice just finished up background check. Still waiting to hear back for start date for training. Any information on that department
Training is very similar at all yards just at a small yard. You’ll get marked up faster because it’s less jobs to learn. A buddy of mine went to training he went to a big yard and he’s not gonna get marked up for another two months after I do.
I applied in April, completed background screening, medical, and drug screen throughout May. Health services requested additional info in regard to ankle surgery 18 months ago & I promptly submitted the info & advised I'm under no restrictions or ongoing care. Here it is end of July and my profile still shows 'awaiting pre employment clearance'. Is this typical? I've applied for conductor out of Fort Wayne, IN station. I've also noticed a more recent job posting via Indeed seeking conductor applicants for Fort Wayne.

In McDonough can you take the test and quizzes as many times as you want before you take it the actual general knowledge and signals test

I have not gotten my start date but I do know my yard is small what is OJT like in a small yard

I log onto the NS website and it says awaiting start date for like two weeks already. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a start date ?
I got a start date yesterday to head to training in July, think it depends on what location you apply for and business needs

english is my second language. is that going to be problem in the class? so afraid that im gonna fail the test because of English
i go down on 7-2. do they pay for mileage ill be driving from Philadelphia. amd will be working out of Newark Del
They do pay mileage but it’s from your terminal to the training center not from your house.

They’ll show you how to do it at the training center and it’s not too hard
