    If you would sew your two long sides and a short side, then slide in the foam it would be so much easier. Love the journal!!

    Love this and will be trying it and of course I will give you a shout out! When you sewed in the signatures, did you "find" the spine and measure first? 😊

    One word BEAUTIFUL 👌💗 looove boho "everything " 😅 by the way you've could have used another fabric (a trim from another piece of fabric ) between the 2 sides . It will hide the foam 😊 I hope I'm making some sense 😂

    That's brilliant, thanks, but how do you attach the signatures now please? Sorry, total newbie here. Thanks. X

    • @stitchwithrachel
      @stitchwithrachel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Aww no worries at all, I'm glad this helped. I would sew the signatures directly into the cover using s pamphlet stitch, you should be able to find lots of tutorials for this on TH-cam. Have fun, hope it goes well! X

    Thanks for sharing how to do this. Did you just use a heavy duty needle for it to go through all the pieces?

    • @stitchwithrachel
      @stitchwithrachel  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are welcome, I just used a standard needle which came with the machine

    I have been looking for a tutorial on doing a soft cover. This looks quick and easy, and looks great. ... Could you please explain if you are sewing the front fabric to the inside fabric over the edge of the fun foam or through all three pieces (I.e. through the front, foam, and inside)? Are you using straight stitch or zigzag? Thanks 🙏

    • @stitchwithrachel
      @stitchwithrachel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I sew through the fun foam and the front and inside pieces, I just use a straight stitch but nothing stopping you from doing a zig zag, just check the tension before on a piece of scrap. I hope that helps!!

    Just curious how you attached your signatures? Or did u leave them loose? Beautiful cover!!!

    • @stitchwithrachel
      @stitchwithrachel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hiya sorry I am only just getting back to you! They are sewn into the cover with a 3 way pamphlet stitch.
