- Stephanie Rivera is an eighth grade social studies teacher at South Orange Middle School in New Jersey. But to her students, she is so much more than that. To show their appreciation, her students teamed up with A Plus to give Rivera a surprise thank you for being such a positive role model and inspiration.

My wife is a middle school teacher and almost anytime we're in a mall,a grocery store or any where,kids will come up and say hi. Or introduce there parents or aunt or grandma. These kids must like her cause they could just not say anything. I like that she has friends in these kids and she makes a difference.

I have an amazing, caring teacher. When I lost my bff, I was so lonely and crying and this teacher came to me, hugged me, kissed me on the forehead like a mother, talked to me and made me feel so special. She said "I can be your friend till you find a new one" and she would keep me company for months. She means the world to me and I love her so much!

This made me extremely happy. As a middle school student I wish I could have a chance to do this for a teacher of mine but i'm pretty sure that's not possible at all...
I guess relationships between the teachers and even between the classmates differ a ton from those that the video shows :(

Maybe when I'm in high school I'll do this for my teachers or I'll visit all my teachers because they helped me and my friends have a happy community in our classes

THIS is what our Boards of Education should require from EVERY teacher. 1.Passion for the Children and any problems they may have. 2. Passion for teaching the Subject(s) they do. 3. Passion for wanting to see the faces light up when they "Get It"on their own. 5. Knowing that you have imparted Compassion and passion in your daily work which may inspire some of your students to pursue the Art of Teaching as you have. You seem to have touched a WORLD of Children! Few,Very Few of us leave THAT Great of a legacy for the World!. So, So Awesome!
We need more people like her, she deserves all the accolades she gets, and although this is the first time I've hear about her, as a parent, all I can say is, thank you so much for being there for our kids when they need a shoulder, god bless you xo
I had Ms. Rivera for history this year, and it really cannot be understated how amazing she is. Aside from teaching us so much about history, she really just encourages us to be our best selves, and is genuinely interested in each and every student. I remember how wonderful it felt when she actually gave me feedback about the story I'm writing, which I had shared on drive with so many other people, none of which had actually looked at it. For her to actually show that she had read it, and was eager to read more, it just felt so unique. I've talked to so many friends who had her, and everyone shares the opinion that she goes out of her way to help each and every one of us. Thank you, Ms. Rivera.
I had an autistic student come up to me at a little league game unbeknownst to his parents and ask me to always be his teacher. Best moment of my life.

This is so beautiful. It brought me to tears. If you are lucky you have at least one teacher that made a huge difference in your life. For me, that was my Mom. She was my first teacher in life, and I was blessed enough to have her as my 3rd grade teacher as well. What a beautiful thing these kids did to express their love and gratitude towards this remarkable teacher💙

I sometimes get caught up with unnecessary things, but when I look at the lives these flash memories create, I begin to realize that you and I, we are the same. Skin color, weight, or if you are shy or not, doesn't matter because we are human, and are equal. Times may get hard, but things like this - a two minute video of students surprising a teacher to tell them what impact she had on them - bring out the best of us. We are human. We are beautiful. Never stop being you, no matter what you go through, because you are here for a reason. Show your true colors, because it's the most beautiful thing in the world

I did home schooling up to 3rd grade, but one of our family friends who was a teacher used to take me with her to the girls’ school where she taught during my home schooling. I remember I used to either sit in her lap or on the chair meant for her. What a lovely lady she was. I do not know her name and now that my mom and dad have passed away, I have no idea if ever I can find her name and who she was. Will try for sure despite living thousands of miles away from my birth place. God bless all those that make a difference in someone’s life.

In year 6, I had a teacher named Miss Adams. She cared about us so much. She would waste her sleep time just to make the whole class some gift before Primary School ended. She always comforted everyone. She's a Geordie STUNNER from Newcastle. I can't thank her enough for all the times where she helped me mentally and yet emotionally in some circumstances.

I am missing my school teachers a lot alot literally I cried
Being a reviewer that I see so many things that catcjh my eye some of them are so special when i see something like that when you have students just frome one this surprise for their teacher telling her in a special way . You never see some that go out of their way to go that extra way to tell a teacher how much they meant to you of how she has changed but these social studies students did by planning this special surprise showing how much they care about there teacher .
Both of my parents are teachers, and I've seen first - hand how much their students love them.
I remember being once at a bar with my family, and suddenly a voice from outside the bar said loudly my mom's name, surprised. The kid went into the bar and hugged my mom really tightly.
Then, on my dad's birthday, he came into the classroom, and on the board there were drawings of the character's of my dad's favourite TV show along with the typical "Happy birthday! Hope you have a good day!"

on 2nd grade we did sth like this at school. He was our favorite teacher. I think 95% of his students cried. I almost cried because of the ambience though. I was sad he was leaving us at midyear and happy to have had such a wonderful human being and teacher in my short life so far- my child self's thinking. He cried. He was wearing sunglasses and refused to take them off for the last group picture. His face was very red and his eyes puffy and red.
"You wake up, you brush you're teeth, you go to school" What I do before i go to school: I wake up i take a shit, i brush sit for like 30 minutes on my phone and then go to school
