    Delta's MD fleet must be getting pretty old. They haven't been made since the late 90s.

      habyss yeah, but look at it this way, md80s, are a variant of the dc9 which were made in the 60s, and delta stopped flying them in 2014 I believe.

      The MD88s are gonna be retired soon unfortunately. However the 90 and 717 will be here for awhile.

      AA's fleet of "super 80"s only included the DC-9-81, -82, and -83. One must note that DL's MD-88 aircraft carry DC-9-83 registration. Delta's "-88" designation, primarily, refers to the upgraded avionics, as ordered by Delta for its DC-9-83 order.

      It looks it. It is really really small plus there is no leg room since the seat is attached to the little walls next to the door.

      XFerretz, do you mean the PFD (primary flight display)? The PFD's look normal and steady to the pilots. However, for whatever reason, they appear to be flashing when viewed through a camera.

    • @RocketAnthem
      @RocketAnthem 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@DrSeuss-rt2ou The flashing is a result of the refresh rate of the camera

    • @paulnobleii4239
      @paulnobleii4239 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ekajeebadmi Yeah every now and then. Keeps skills sharp. The MD I flew, school house scorched us for taking our hands off the throttles under 10,000. What about you?

    • @SSAviation737
      @SSAviation737 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@paulnobleii4239 I stand corrected. Thanks for letting me know. I am a believer in keeping my hand on the throttle, but I thought you were being a little too harsh lol.
      I shouldn't be talking. I don't have an ATP yet lol.

    • @SSAviation737
      @SSAviation737 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Fellow armchair pilot here also.
      I have talked to pilots though and they obviously keep their hands on the throttles. I do the same in the sim.
