- WARNING ⚠️ Don't mess with a Finn and their pantti... this is only a minor exaggeration... 😜🇫🇮
(For people who don't live in Finland. Pantti is the money you get back from recycling your cans and bottles. Usually at an automatic machine in the supermarket 💰 Only non-crushed cans are accepted... or at least the barcode needs to be able to be read by the machine, I guess.)
No Pantti was harmed if that Pepsi was imported.
I once worked at the bottle recycling center and received discarded cans with estonian text. These cans had finnish barcodes printed on a paper and glued to the side. So much trouble for 0,60€.
@@Redfizh Crafty Eesti mees at it again.
@@Redfizhyou get 0, 15 cnt. Obviously.
panttivanki got a new meaning 😂
That would be a fitting finnish kidnapper lol! I'm imagining a vid where someone's dog gets kidnapped and the ransom would be a thousand euros..in the form of pantti tickets😂
You right

As a Finn, that hurts my heart...💀

Got your Panttis in a bunch😂
I can relate too as a Swede. I always keep my pantflaskor til the end of the month when cash flow is low lol
It's always nice as a poor student when you remember you have like 3 bags full of cans/bottles so you don't starve before getting paid
@@LividTunic 100 %
Pantflaskor is my living, as I went to university and worked for a decade and then got caught in possession of less than a joint. So no work for me anymore, thanks to these fantastic laws. Even the amputated cannot get legal weed in Finland. There should be some medical cannabis refugee program within the EU where those in severe pain could turn to.
@@LebowskiDudefula criminal record doesnt stop you from getting work in finland... the only jobs that are allowed to even ask about it are law enforcement related jobs or if you wanna work with children
@@hattarapilvi actually, if one applies as a toilet cleaner in an office for minimum pay one must prove that one has an impeccable record, so that office stuff won't go missing. I also applied to a Lidl warehouse as a load carrier, but they also require this. Same goes for foodora and postal delivery guy, as according to the laws of European Union a person cannot be dealing with sensitive information such as people's addresses even in Amsterdam, if one has been fined for tarring one's lungs with a single crumble of the wackier tobacky. And I got my smoking record while I was in a wheel chair and my religious upbring forbade me to take opium based pain killers. But Finland is so equal, that not even the amputated get cannabis legally. A link to a video of case in point in Finnish is attached below.
If I drink energy drinks or something on my way to work or out or whatever, I haul the empty cans home to put in my big pantti sack (just a big bin bag really) and return them around the end of the month. Every single one. As a teenager living in Helsinki I didn't bother to and always left them on top of trashcans or somewhere else visible and safe in public so those who collected bottles and cans could get them easily 😂
I had the same reaction 🤯 💥
yeah! I can feel it now😂
😂😂😂 I'll admit it.. 😅
My father is Finnish, he was born and raised in Helsinki, and was a Finnish soccer player around 1980. Honestly watching this with my dad is hilarious, and it makes me glad to know that there are a ton of Finnish youtubers out there. Have a nice day, (my dad almost broke the screen when he thought the guy broke the pantti)
Awesome editing!
As a german I hope you have reshaped that pantti (Pfand) bottle from the video to return it. Use any tools to push out any indents from the inside and blow any bottles to make the scan readable. 👍
100% true 😂
As finn i died
in Germany we have 25 cents . 😂 I feel you!
In Finland it's 10 cents for small cans and bottles up to 0,35 liters, 20cents for over 0,35 to 0,75 liters, and 40 cents for over liter bottles.
But can't the crushed can also be recycled?
It's just crushed, it's properties are still the same?
@@MrsSmitaSinha Yes, the material is till the same but the bar code might not work so you don't get your deposit back. You can put foreign cans or crushed ones to the bottle machine but you won't get money from them.
Pantti is nothing to be underestimated i got last week 40€ from only pantti
I used to feel that rage too while still living in Finland! Whereas here in the UK I've learned to despise people who DON'T crush their cans and plastic bottles, just overfill their recycle boxes until there's cans and bottles rolling all over the streets every bin day. I need to be careful when I visit Finland from now on with these new brain settings 😆
0 exaggeration in this video! Respect the pantti or else!
Lol we do this in Australia too
I really was one of those guys at one time who would start trouble if i saw others destroying precious pantti's, even who were random people from the same school
LOL too funny and accurate at the same time 😂😂😂
I'm from Finland and I can feel that
Ain't nobody gonna mess with pantti
AND MY MOM WAS TRYING TO LEFT 20 CENTS BEHIND I GRABBED THAT BOTTLE AND CARRIED IT ALL THE WAY HOME😤
literally me
Accurate
Haha! Seriously though, please tell me that was some non-pantti can.
You better still recylcle those, even withouth pant. Aluminium still goes To 2dn (3th 4th... Round) much More cheaper than produce New one
Ohh yes I guess all Finn can feel it 😢
Okay but for real did you manage to fix the can and still get the 15 cents from it? The machines have become better in the last 10 years in recognizing even damaged packaging.
Too dramatic but yeah pantti is important or something like that 😂❤
That personally Hurt me
(also no pantti was harmed in the making of this video got me dying💀)
Oh this is me. xD
My 15ceeents!!!
The raging at the end was hilarious😂
i love to see his videos!
This is true
Funny 😊👍❤️💚🌲
It's literally hurst when my friend do this, he always says "it's just 15 cent" but bro if do this to 300 cans, it's lot of more than 15 cent.........
Its perfect for saving money😀
usually i leave my bottles on top / near trash cans because i’ve noticed that there’s quite a lot of old people collecting cans and bottles from trashcans for the money, and by leaving it next to one, they don’t have to stick their hands in garbage bins
as a proper finish person i can proudly say this looks and sounds about right
So true😂
accurate 😂
Oh i almost thought! :D
so true bro
No this hurts me on an other level
Ppl in america: how do u get money like I'm so poor dawg
Finns: who me? oh yeah I collect bottles bro
So true
😂😂 so true
That's same as destroying 15 cent.
Is that a cousin or something of that one famous rapper?
I've noticed when buying bottles or cans, you're paying for the pantti, so really it's not so much that you get the pantti's worth off the original price - you still paid the price, but you just undo the pantti.
So instead of paying, let's say 2,40€ for the can, you're paying 2,40€ + 0.15€ pantti. I don't recall this every being a thing way back.
I work in waste management. At work we had a customer who threw out all the bottles from their venue. With permission I took them and made like 150€ extra a day for a few days
I usually save all my pantti money and then deposit coins once a year to get couple hundred euros
As a Finn I also unleash the chained forces of the universe when someone doesn't put the can in the can/bottle bag
Same with every German...supernova if you crush bottles or tins 😂
It's cash man ,don't crush your income 😅😮😂
I am a german, and I felt that in my DNA😂
True story
I assure you that if you are broke enough you will learn how to reshape a can enough to get deposit from it.
I mean... ofc that 15 sents matter. Hurting pantti is just evil.😢

Are you sure no pantti was harmed in this video?
Yes, but Antti was harmed in the making of this video.
@@Tennarix oh then it's all kosher to watch. Human life is worth almost zero in Finland, but pantti is fifteen cents. They educate people all through university and pay for it with tax payers money and then when as many do, an individual dabbles with cannabis during his college days and gets caught for a possession of 0,1g his life will be ruined. It means he cannot work for 5 years, not even as a toilet cleaner as "druggies" are known to steal and even after those 5 years one cannot ever work a job that requires travelling, as one has a lifetime of visa problems and driver license problems for getting caught, say, sitting in a park smoking in a ring. A draconian tyranny that forces its people to collect pantti as they don't see the Antti behind the bluntti.
Dont drink pepsi it hasnt left russia
I was shoked when i saw this video but then the no pantti was harmed making this video jelped sorry my english is not good but what ever
Pantti on tärkee
No, not the pantti D:

That is what homeless get by with in Finland; returning cans and bottles to the stores for "pantti"=deposit

MUN 15 CENTTIÄ
Why is the can crushed not also worth €0.15? Presumably it is part of a recycling initiative, and they aren't just gonna reuse the can as is?
Machines where you return those only take in undamaged cans/bottles. They need a bar code, and if the machine can’t read it, it spits can/bottle out.
The automatic machine where you return the empty cans, typically located near the front door of any supermarket, needs to read the bar code printed on the can. So, if you crush the can, the machine can't read the bar code and you won't get the deposit money back. After reading the bar code, the machine itself will typically crush the can, though, to save room.
That 0.15 euros is included in the soda price when you buy the full can from a grocery store. So, you just get it back when you return the empty can.
So was it CGI pantti? Look's real to me.
It was a stunt can.

You get a sum cents per bottle or can. You recylce em at the bottle recycling machine at stores and the payout depending on the bottle size ect ect. Then you go cash it at the cash register at the end of shopping. Hope this helps a bit
no pantti haha kinda like nobody i get it
