    I shoot a Beretta Silver Mallard multi choke with the mag cutoff option and very handy it is when shooting rabbits at harvest and a fox runs out so quick to change loads from #6 to BB's, I picked up a case that fits a treat.

    That is one of the best looking semiauto Shotguns out there right now (in my mind). Great to see that Beretta has installed: retractable lifter, opened up the port & bigger size bolt handle/bolt release.

    Thank you for posting. An interesting overview. Do you stock the A400 lop spacers as a spare part I could buy?

  • @kevingallegus3632
    @kevingallegus3632 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey buddy you called my stock ugly! I removed my kick-off at the back, and made a black hard plastic grind to fit spacer. It works. If you have a stock with no KO laying around, I'd gladly take it off your hands.

    When my 1980's A303 breaks I might upgrade, but I still shoot with it fine and it's never had a single hang up. I see people using newer semi's with 24g steel shot and it stovepipes or doesn't cycle at all. I do need a gun smith to put a proper pad on the back of it though, it's a bit of bacolite hard plastic!

      Great gun the 303, it started it all I believe. So get your pad and be off to the course Mate!

    Good review 👍 I shoot the Breda930i and it at least came with a hardcase (lockable).

    Great review. I have a 686 Special with fixed F/M barrels and starting to enjoy skeet. I think this A400 would be more appropriate though. Thanks again.

    Thank you for the video! I have the blue A400 Xcel 12 guage, the A400 Xtreme Plus, 686 Silver Pigeon Sporting 1 in 12 guage and the A400 Xplor in both 20 and 28 guage… I love Beretta shotguns! I’m curious of 2 things: 1- What is the difference between the Xcel and the Xplor models? 2- What extended bolt release does Beretta use on the new Xcel? I’d like to get those installed on my Xcel and Xplors! Thank you for your time and keep up the great content!

      Thank you for your comment Kevin. It is no problem to supply you with the extended bolt releases for your existing A400 models. Please drop me an email to matt@premierguns.co.uk. kind regards, Matt

    Greetings, I recently purchased on the used an A400 blue for $11,000 USD. So far I feel satisfied with the gun (about 500 rounds). From your video, the difference between the old and new guns is the kickoff, the charging handle and the release button right? The "blink" system hasn't been changed? Thanks for the great video. Well done sir.

    Great video, tam actually thinking of getting a A400 for clay shooting, but not sure which model to get. Intresting to hear you dont get a case with it, which is poor for a £1600 gun especially as a case is standard with cheaper shotguns and even air rifles costing 1/3 of the price.

      I did get a polymer plastic case but for having been disassembled in 3 parts.

    • @shootermcgavern3309
      @shootermcgavern3309 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you buy an older model with the blue receiver, those did come in a plastic hard case. I would not call it a very good hard case, but I did get one with mine! To me, not a deal breaker as I never use the hard case because you must break down the gun and it simply just takes extra time that I do not have.
      So I will be off now, life is way too busy.

    Bought this new version and have a lot of failure to feeds out of the box. Shells hit the right side of the crown/barrel and leave a cut mark in the shell.

    I was expecting the recoil with the kick-off to be softer than my stock Remington 1100, but it’s not.

    Great review as usual I have an A400 Xcel (blue) love it , however would not pay that sort of money without a proper case as I think it cheapens the product Brings them in line with the cheaper Turkish guns

    The Microcore pads are excellent except they wear and chip if stood in a wooden gun rack at a shoot or on the floor of a duck blind and need to be made tougher . The breach bolt pin ,which is the barrel like follower which runs in the bolt cam slot , rapidly sheds it's chrome plating then starts to deform , the Beretta Agents seem reluctant to replace this part . The various gun pods are utter crap and Beretta should supply a retro fit for these products .

      @AIR GUN MAD ,UNREAL imo...... unreal build quality and functionality, the beretta is also built really well... but i think the maxus is a slimmer firearm, feels a little better in hand for me, you might like a larger feel.... 😂😂also got the famous browning auto load which is fantastic!!.. they all claim the fastest mechanism in the west, but im sure theyre all too similar to distinguish on speed
      i took my maxus out in the worst rainstorm the heavens could produce...breech was filled with water most of the day... not one load or ejection issue when i needed it....

    Phooey. Beretta is again reducing costs by reducing functionality or beauty. First they switch from ‘pretty good’ wood to this ‘laser enhanced’ stuff. Now it appears they are abandoning my favorite selling feature: the magazine lock out. I was surprised to see it was no longer available on the Xtreme, and now it’s gone on the Xcel too. …… And a handsome cardboard box? Come on Beretta. Walk across the road to your Benelli brethren and get some marketing and design tips.
