    Nice video... hope BerettaCommunity makes a cleaning tip vid for all of Beretta's Firearms. There are a lot of new gun owners out here that need assistance in this basic yet very important part of owning a firearm. A clean and well maintained firearm is a happy firearm :-)

    Had the same problem with ejection, gunsmith was correct, either shells at 1295 -1325 have enough pressure that they shell always ejects correctly.

    The stock sliding across my cheek while using heavy field 12ga. loads made my cheek bleed quite badly. Shooting light target loads was no problem. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have to illuminate this problem. I love this gun BTW. A400 Xplor with kickoff .

    Hello,
    I just bought a left hand A400 xplor action (bronze receiver), and yesterday for the first time I went to the range. There, of 25 shots, there were several cartridges that did not cycle, and were stuck in the extraction window. Before going to the range I gave a superficial clean to the gun, but did not clean the gas holes, in the gas cylinder, that communicate with the barrel. I thought that dirt in those holes could be one of the reasons for the cycling problem, and today when I striped the gun I noticed that in the gas cylinder there were two holes, but only one of them goes all the way to the inside of the barrel, what seemed very strange to me because my old 303 model, and my tecknys have two holes in the gas cylinder that communicate with the inside of the barrel. Can you please tell me if the A400 model only has one hole communicating with the inside of the barrel, or if this is a manufacturing problem?
    Regards
    Silva

    Does the A400 Etreme differ a lot from the A400 Explore? Other than super magnum rounds, like is it a more solid bolt system? Which has a better recoil suppression for normal 70mm rounds

    My gas chamber where the piston goes doesn't have that spring on the outside of it. Is that one your cleaning a 12 gauge. Mine is a 20 gauge. Is that the difference?

    • @ssofia713
      @ssofia713 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alan, I'm so glad to hear that MY 20 gauge isn't the only one like this without the spring! Was starting to think that I may have lost something. Cleaning my piston after about 2500 rounds was quite the experience ... I certainly wouldn't wait that long. Best of luck, John Sofia jsofia@analysistech.com

    Your bolt charging handle practically falls out, meanwhile it took me 30 minutes to get mine out. What at pain. What's the secret? it went right back in when I was done, and then I immediately tried to pull it back out, and no such luck. Safe to say the bolt assembly and trigger plate won't be getting cleaned often.

    • @kyleapproved7369
      @kyleapproved7369 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +tfa8rva I may not be able to explain it very well, but on of the little ridges on the bolt face lines up around where you need to push it to pull out the charging handle. You can also gently pull on the charging handle while pushing the bolt face back and forth to see where you kind of feel spot.

    • @Exolesco
      @Exolesco 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a little notch that you need to line the charging hand with, inside of the bolt carrier. It's pretty easy to spot, just use a flash light. When the light passes through into the carrier, then you know it's lined up.

    • @scan1982
      @scan1982 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine was hard to get out. Being brand new it's a tight fit. I oiled it up. Lined it up and worked it until it came out. I could see drag marks on the charging handle. It will probably loosen up after a few cleanings. I hope.

    After reading the care instructions in the A400 Xplor manual this video caused me some confusion.
    Do I use gun oil on a cleaning cloth and THEN wipe down the piston and other areas? Or do I just use a unoiled cloth to just wipe down most things?
    The instructions say to use oil but not lubricate it, and this video only shows him using oil on select parts. This is what has me confused.

    • @JizzleCX
      @JizzleCX 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      only use oil where he shows. piston just needs a wipe with a dry cloth to get the fouling off. Don't use as much oil as he seems to on the bolt and rails unless you clean your gun after every use.
