You had me at wood burning stove. Thoroughly enjoyed your podcast while I sat smiling and knitting this evening. LOVE the Canadian makers you're supporting including that Noste Pinne... never seen anything like it. So neat. Happy knitting!

I'm sure, your partner will be proud to wear that beautiful sweater you're making for him!
    Have a wonderful Easter, Mercedes.

So enjoyed this episode, loved all your work and learnt many new tips. You will love your new Woodburner, as will your cats! I also have to ‘fudge’ work sometimes (mostly always). It makes the process more interesting - and unique. Keep well, and thank you for your time.

Aw thanks so much Jackie for watching and for you lovely comment.
I agree - when I think about it, probably the majority of my knitting projects have a fudge in them somewhere. But no one would ever know! Even I forget about them after I’ve worn the item for a while.

Just happened on your podcast, and I appreciate your style of delivery. Soft spoken and thoughtful.
I agree with your assessment of total yarn requirements for some patterns.
Not always correct, with a tendency toward more yarn than needed (beyond the 10% overage that is normal).
I’ve had the same thought about the current trend of ‘10” + of ease’ patterns. Not the best look for a lot of us! And makes one wonder if this trend is just to sell more yarn?
    Fortunately, it’s our choice…

Thanks for such an enjoyable video. I think we have a lot of overlap with our pattern, colour and fiber choices so it is very validating for me.

beautiful work. I love your buttons. I can't wait to see if your idea of your floats fixing will work. I would never thought of it, smart.

Thanks for your comments, Sylvie. The float fix did work! I didn’t do a proper job of it, but with some spit-spicing here and there, I think it turned out ok. I’ll definitely show it in the next episode.

Hi Mercedes, I just discovered your podcast and really enjoyed it! Your knits are beautiful. I'm especially fond of your Bonnie. I knit an Albini (which is Orlane's Dk version of the same cardi) and its my most worn garment. With the amount of worsted I have in my stash, I should really knit a Bonnie too! I look forward to hearing about how you get along with your Humulus floats. Like you, I love lower-contrast colourwork, and I think yours will be so handsome.

What a treat to read this lovely comment from you, Nicole. Thank you ☺️
I’ll have to check out the Albini - thank you for the tip. After the Bonnie, I’m really interested in knitting more cardigans. They are just so easy to wear.
      And yes I’ll update on
Humulus floats in next episode … mostly good results😅. Better than ripping back, anyway.
Take care and looking forward to seeing your next episode.

Just found you. Am going back through all your podcasts. Your work is beautiful, absolutely beautiful...so aspirational for me ( and inspirational. I’m really anxious to try a colorwork sweater, but I want to improve my knitting skills a bit more first. I love the Lettlopi yarns and would like to try the plutolopi. That’s for the future, though. I’m working on a Felix cardigan in Lettlopi at the moment. But I had to set it aside to work on a pair of socks for my husband for his birthday. I don’t like knitting with a time limit either and, like you, am trying to work on my Christmas knitting early. Stay safe.

Hi Cheryl. Thank you for watching and for contribution here in the comments. I’ve heard a lot of good things about the Felix cardigan - happy knitting on that!
