      Thanks for watching it's a speedometer app on Android app store, I redone the test and the battery lasted three hours at full throttle untill completely drained but had technical difficulties and lost all footage average speed was 3.8 mph

      I redid the test but had camera problems and didn't get footage but it lasted exactly 3 hours before completely died and roughly 6 miles at full power constantly, lawn mower battery won't last long and isn't designed to be recharged over and over like a marine deep cycle battery hope that helps thanks for watching 👍👊🎣🎣

      I lost connection on my phone and ran out of time I'm going to redo the test when I get a chance, lead acid battery loses amps halve way through the cycle at a fast rate I started losing speed just before I lost signal I got 1.5hr at max power I estimate I had 30 to 45 minutes before it was dead but we will see next time if I was right

    It would be great to see you test a lithium battery from seaquestbattery that costs $475 weighs 13 lbs vs the $80 45 lb walmart battery. I would bet you a 7 lb bass that you not only would have a higher top speed but would last 5 times longer. Plus at my age, I cannot lift a 45 lb battery no more.

    Sir, a 100ah can usually run a 30lbs for hours. you only manage 1.5h. Is your battery have a defect? the math is pretty simple. Usually a 30lbs motor draws around 3A, 100ah/3a around 33 hours. I measure my motor outside of the water in my shed. my test might be wrong because level one of the motor draws only 2.6 amp while full power(level 5) drawed 2.9 amp. One day I will measure it in the water.

    • @Legallyblindoutdoors
      @Legallyblindoutdoors  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My motor draws 30ah at full speed I redid the test but lost the footage but it ran 3 hours exactly at full throttle non stop. Out of water tests are inaccurate there's no resistance on the propeller from the water and the weight it's pushing witch will cause motor to pull more power

    • @lungchan1729
      @lungchan1729 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Legallyblindoutdoors that's what I thought too since level 1 and 5 didn't have any difference. It didn't make sense. Ok next time I'll measure in the water just for the fun of it. Happy fishing and be safe from Canada.

    SLA (sealed lead-acid) or AGM (absorbed glass mat) batteries are no longer the best option for running a trolling motor. They weigh twice as much and deliver half the power of a lithium iron-phosphate (LFP) battery. (Yes, they are 4 times as effective.) On top of that, an LFP battery delivers a constant voltage throughout almost the entire discharge cycle, so you're not having to bump up the setting on your trolling motor to get the same speed, or just live with less and less speed on the highest setting.
    Given that good LFP trolling motor batteries only cost about twice as much as a lead-acid option, but last 5 times as long, weigh half as much, and deliver twice as much usable power, they are an absolute no-brainer...especially for folks in a kayak, where weight matters. You could get a 50AH LFP battery, which would weigh 1/4 as much as that lead-acid battery, and it would give you the same run-time.

      Yes I'm well aware of this, and your more than welcome to buy one for me wouldn't hurt my feelings at all, I'm on a fixed income took 3 months to afford this $80 battery

    • @jasonbroom7147
      @jasonbroom7147 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Legallyblindoutdoors - If your discretionary income is less than $30/mo, should you even be spending money on things like a kayak, trolling motor or battery? You might want to start saving up to replace that lead-acid battery, since they only last 2 or 3 years, unless you take perfect care of them.

    • @tangoindiamike9189
      @tangoindiamike9189 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Let's review the details. His discretionary income may be less than $30/month. Since it is HIS income, and discretionary means he can use it at his own discretion, and he was able to save enough to purchase these items at HIS discretion, what is the issue, and where do you get the audacity to question it?
