It actually has to do with their freakish metabolism, speed, and strength when they are younger that makes them instinctually spaz out like that. Their bodies have to expend energy. They do the same thing in the wild or in farm-style housing. All they really care about is food and shelter, it doesnt have to a 4-star pig hotel.
My guinea pig used to popcorn really a lot and I noticed he was always triggered by things he could jump over. We used to have chairs with kind of low bars just above the ground and he was jumping over it and popcorning all the time
I miss having a pig, they're adorable. I'd love to get a couple more of them. I even ate better when I had them. Bought alot more veggies, we shared. Had wonderful salads etc together. Fun Nice they free roam
@@fishypie Not really, you have to be really gentle with them, and they don't like to be picked up. So i would say that other pets like cats or dogs are more suitable, if the parents make sure that they have everything they need. With guinnea pigs, the only real interaction you can have is feeding them and maybe teaching them some tricks, but not excessive petting, as some kids would probably want to do.
Pigs are awesome. I have a bunk bed and she sleeps on the bottom hahaha she's not shy around humans and she will crawl on your lap or run around you to try and get your attention for some treats. Love it
I just got recommended this video and ironically this guinea pig at 0:45 looks and acts just like my guinea pig cinnamon. I wonder if I found her long lost relative or even her great grandma. 🤭 She sniffs only to bite seconds later to test everything. Lays flat with her feet and legs sticking out. Never really sits still especially when excited. I'm sure those two guinea pigs are grateful to have you in the past. My guinea pigs cinnamon and latte are doing good and well.
I got that one in 2012 at Pets at Home, but I know I got it from the cat bed part of the store, not the rabbits and guinea pig part. They do a grey spotty one now that they sell as a Guinea pig bed, so I think they caught on that piggies need more room!
They lived together, they just climbed into the bed separately. Those two specifically liked unlimited floor time so the other was probably off exploring or laying under the sofa while I filmed the popcorning.
@@BurvilMantequillaI hope they died of old age and not illness. I've already had 5 and a roll I know how these animals die from anything. None of them died of old age.
Mantequila, the blonde one, had cancer when she was 4 and eventually had to be put to sleep. Burvil, the black and ginger one, had her 5th birthday and passed away naturally a month later. @@player83747 I have had some that lived to almost 8 though, so 4 and 5 don't feel old enough to me.
