Ferrets make great friends for dogs because ferrets love playtime and will tire the dog out and the dog is very soft, so the ferret will want to cuddle with the dog. I have seen ferrets bond with dogs so many times. I had a friend with a ferret puppy because it's mom died during nursing and his German Shepherd just raised it even though he had no experience with the creature at all. They were inseparable from each other
I loved it when you started to teach Anubis how to howl, as he didn't have any adult Jackals to teach him. Now he just throws his head back and howls from his whole being. Job well done Mom and Dad! 😊

That is really a jackal? They look like the foxes we have in MN. We had a family of foxes living in our woods. I have Newfies & the 15 lb Momma would stand her ground against my 202 lb male newfy it was the craziest thing I ever seen.

Its because they are an emotional wreck. They are not supposed to be locked up. They are searching for something that is never met in that environment. They just do not know what it is. But it is not there. Not saying that they are mistreated or anything, but people are the only outlet for their needs.
I am thankful to see no one saying things like "You shouldn't have wild animals as pets" or "They should be in the wild, where they would be happier." because honestly, people need to realize there's a difference between keeping a random wild animal as a pet and rescuing them while deciding whether or not they would be able to survive in the wild.
That's what sanctuaries are for...that is A LOT of pets..I hope they have help cuz I don't see how it's possible that's like 20 + animals.maybe youtube/pets is their job but still

Hey, there!.. South African, here.. I am watching your video and I am smiling at the scheer joy these animals are showing when you arrived home.. Its so sweet!.. You know - the jackal and fox are very common, especially in north-western South Africa and throughout Namibia.. When we drive up north from Cape Town, one will be able to see them next to the road, especially during the nights when its cooler.. The howling of jackals are very common when you for example camp out in the open and you lay in your tent next to your campfire, underneath the stars.. (Mind the lions, though!).. Its the most beautiful sound, and when your jackal tilted it's head backwards and howled, it brought a big smile to my face.. 😊
Channels like this one are so important for people to see that wild animals are also creatures with feelings and an own character. These foxes are tame but it gives us a good idea of the beautiful and smart creatures that they are. They are so much more than a piece of a fur coat on 4 paws.

As a Vet with really bad PTSD issues, I wish I could hang out at your sanctuary and play with the animals all day. While it is very hard for me to be around people, I feel safe around animals and only then can I let my guard down.
@kindredspirit617 I have four cats, two that are 13 and two kittens that are nine months. I can sit around all day and just watch them all. Watching the kittens chase each other all over the place like maniacs is hilarious. One of my 13 year old cats, Tigger has taken it upon himself to be the daddy cat to the babies. He pins them down and washes them, he plays with them. He keeps them away from the front door. It is really cute seeing him so invested in Odin and Freya.
I love animals...but not hugging the ones who peed in my house and rolled in it love animals. We had a dog like that growing up who my parents took to, "go live on a farm".

I'm so sorry for all of us! Losing someone furry is so devastating! The bonded connection and closeness sometimes surpasses the loss of a human. 💔 Especially rough when you have others around you that don't get it.

No they're super soft, that's why they're farmed for fur, unfortunately 😢

Hey, there!.. South African, here.. I am watching your video and I am smiling at the scheer joy these animals are showing when you arrived home.. Its so sweet!.. You know - the jackal and fox are very common, especially in north-western South Africa and throughout Namibia.. When we drive up north from Cape Town, one will be able to see them next to the road, especially during the nights when its cooler.. The howling of jackals are very common when you for example camp out in the open and you lay in your tent next to your campfire, underneath the stars.. (Mind the lions, though!).. Its the most beautiful sound, and when your jackal tilted it's head backwards and howled, it brought a big smile to my face.. 😊

Channels like this one are so important for people to see that wild animals are also creatures with feelings and an own character. These foxes are tame but it gives us a good idea of the beautiful and smart creatures that they are. They are so much more than a piece of a fur coat on 4 paws.
Nothing on earth will ever come close to the warm and wonderful feeling you get from seeing your wonderful fluffy friends after so long!

As a Vet with really bad PTSD issues, I wish I could hang out at your sanctuary and play with the animals all day. While it is very hard for me to be around people, I feel safe around animals and only then can I let my guard down.

@kindredspirit617 I have four cats, two that are 13 and two kittens that are nine months. I can sit around all day and just watch them all. Watching the kittens chase each other all over the place like maniacs is hilarious. One of my 13 year old cats, Tigger has taken it upon himself to be the daddy cat to the babies. He pins them down and washes them, he plays with them. He keeps them away from the front door. It is really cute seeing him so invested in Odin and Freya.
The fact that the mink is not trying to tear her fingers off is testimony to her magical powers.

I love the foxes ☺. They make cute noises when they're happy I can't take it 😭. They're the type of drug that doesn't get you in trouble with the law 🚔😍. The peeing part of the jackal 🦊 though.
