Wow Lukas, 5 minutes with you and hours worth of trial an error vapourised or being enlightened on features that I never knew existed in seconds. What a fabulous, refreshing resource you are providing, thank you so much. I thought Joe and Gregor were delivering the goods, but you are full of enlightenment.
That's very kind, thanks Steve! Gregor makes excellent videos but the videos are aimed at beginners while I try to put my focus on advanced topics. If you like the videos, share the links, spread the word, I appreciate it!
Lukas, your English vids are amazing thank you so much - keep them coming! thanks for your key videos on key features. nice work too with your bands. I realize your German vids are the same content, albeit in German.. so thanks for doing *double duty*
Hi Lukas Great video I have subscribed to your channel!!,Hope to learn lots,ha,ha ,been using Studio One 5 since last July .But have to say I am really impressed with Studio One 5.Esp now this new update has arrived This drag chords to Instrument track feature is really cool
what was its previous alternative, instead of drag and drop, i use v4.6 because I've some compatibility issues. Can you please tell me how can we apply chord to instrument track without drag & drop
Can we copy a instrument to new track without having to drag a new instrument from browser, so we get a new one that will not change the original? I don't think so? That would be nice. When working in Scaler 2.7, if I could copy it to a new track and keep the work to the copy like a new track and instrument.
I had studio one 1, 2, 2.6. I downloaded 5 but it doesn't recognise audiobox 44vsl. I cannot configure it like 2.6. I need all 4 inputs, it only shows 2.
It depends on the material. If you want just extract the raw chords, then Chord Track. If you want to convert melodies or whole polyphonic patterns, then definitely Melodyne.
Try many DAW , first FL STUDIO,ABLETON, CUBASE, LOGIC PRO, But stop on Studio One. in my opinion, it is both visually and functionally the best. without anything extra

Nice one! Well done PreSonus and great job Lukas!
Wow! This was an awesome demonstration of converting chords in Studio One 5.3, thank you!
Best DAW ever, period!
i have videos on my page about s1 5
I keep trying to leave S1 cause the midi sucks… but they keep pulling me back in
@@FadeEcomonics midi sucks in what way
Midi socks in pro tools also..soooo?
@@soundsfromYYBY midi up something like an mpc. It can keep up with the bpm. You cant record into S1.
This is really another awesome feature, great job Lukas & Presonus!

This drag chords to Instrument track feature is really cool
Simple and Crystal clear 💯💯💯 Keep it up!
Very informative, well set up and understandable. Thank you very much.
Glad to hear that - thanks!
Great video!
I really want a chord track and theses features in Logic Pro
Can I also switch the reversals of the chords?

Finally 🙌🏾
Game changer,no more midi chord packs
Best Daw......
Excellent video. Q: How do I copy/move detected chords into the Chord Track? TIA.
Thank you. You can simply drag the events onto the Chord Track.
This is Awesome 🤩😅😂😭😄💯💯💯

That's "Duplicate (complete)".
Thank you, @@studioonetutorials Now I found the solution. th-cam.com/video/vRw0j3Q7nnc/w-d-xo.html

How did you lay out those chords on the top? 😕
Which chords? Where? When? :D
@@studioonetutorials I just got the demo one, Should I have to purchase the professional one so I can have everything’s?
@@hey3184 The Chord Track is only available in the Professional version... so if you like to use the Chord Track, yes, you need the Pro version.
@@studioonetutorials Which one then?
why i cant drag chords to ezkeys in s1 v4
WOW!!!!
Super fast response to the update :)
btw you can detect chords by draggin the audio to the chord lane
Lukas, you got zero dislikes.... Gregor will be jealous! (But Joe will understand)
Wow indeed :-) Hehe, I think Gregor is fine with that. Also, my videos have only fraction of the clicks as his vids on the PreSonus channel...
@@studioonetutorials Gregor is brilliant but he's humble enough to know that you are brilliant too. Keep up the good work.
Hi Lukas. There is an chord explode function that creates new tracks. Do you know if it is possible to explode to existing tracks?
It does explode then to existing tracks already as I show in the video!? I couldn't drag it onto a track if the track didn't exist :-)
When converting audio to midi, would you suggest using the chordtrack or melodyne? Both ways are possible.
It depends on the material. If you want just extract the raw chords, then Chord Track. If you want to convert melodies or whole polyphonic patterns, then definitely Melodyne.

Look how the midi notes look inside the events.. They look like straight horizontal lanes.. Ableton has a way better way to show those.
So what...
Shrugs shoulders
🤷♂️
Yes, but not for Artist.
Pro is REALLY worth the money. I'd save up!
stolen from Cubase again 🙄

There are 12 notes and every musician is stealing them from each other. I'm shocked!
