Without possessing the Phoenix force, she single handedly foresaw the impending danger of the lake sized mass of water coming towards them (Even Professor X didn't see it), made a choice to save everyone, held back the water, levitated the Blackbird, telekinetically fixed the damaged systems of the Blackbird, blocked Nightcrawler's powers, was in telepathic communication with Professor X, and the whole time was able to enjoy her Venti Iced White Mocha from Starbucks. Prove me wrong.

Jean sure has a higher chance to win if she battled against Wanda in a 1vs1 situation but that doesn't mean that Wanda can't stand a chance against her. Especially in the time period it was written of WWII when women didn't have many choices of profession. Plus she was a secretary in the Office of Strategic Services and held the rank of Lieutenant. She ended up becoming a Major and working directly with Steve Trevor on missions. You know who else was at the Office of Strategic Services. Julia Child, real life cookbook writer and TV personality extraordinaire. She started as a typist and ended up as a top-secret researcher. Superheroes don't just fight bad guys. They also save people. Whether there are bad guys or not. As in natural disasters, car crashes, accidental fires...Kinda a part of their job description. Princesses turn into Queens. Secretaries can turn into CEOs of their own companies. It's a stepping stone to something greater if you want it to be. And why can't a surgeon go be a masseuse. I've heard of career people giving it up to become carpenters and artists. There are no downgrades if your doing what you love. That boss you interviewed for sounds like a dumbass. Technically she doesn’t become dark Phoenix at the end. She becomes one with the Phoenix Force. There is no implication in the movie that she become malevolent. Remember, the Phoenix is the passion that sparked creation and the flame that will ultimately destroy it. The Phoenix Force is technically not evil-it’s a force of nature. It’s only “evil” when it experiences emotion of the host.
And she didn't died at the end of her movie, remember that the phoneix can reborn from the ashes, she might appear again but in an official Marvel movie
It wasnt a solar flare,what Jean absorbed was the phoenix force . At first she was hit by it but didnt actually use her powers to pull it into herself until she saw it turn to head to the blackbird and the other xmen. Then she sucked it back to the space shuttle and into herself.

She was able to transmutate objects, turn a cup into a micro super star, turn a spear that cut her into water and heal herself etc. She is a matter and energy msnipulator, she also has the power to create worlds. Well yes. Anyone with the Phoenix Force gets a massive upgrade. Jean Grey is probably the worlds most powerful telekinetic on her own. It's probably why the Phoenix Force likes her so much. But the Phoenix Force is the most powerful entity in the Marvel Multiverse.
Tbh, the story of the Phoenix was definitely a 2 part movie type of thing, I felt. This felt so... rushed. It makes no sense. Jean had the Phoenix Force fighting Apocalypse, but now she gets it again from a space mission....? It's a mess. I do love her as a character though.
Bien Roco but if you’re talking about story arcs, the Phoenix Force enters Jean when she bonds a portion of her soul and essence with the force. It still made no sense in the film from Apocalypse to Dark Phoenix. If she had release the Phoenix in the first movie how is it that she gained it now?
Jean was born with a piece of the force in her. It apparently is what tends to happen most times, before the force bonds with a host, it finds them and a piece of it connects with them. What she did to Apocalypse is what attracted the force to Earth in the first place.
I'm going to be the one to reply and fix everyone's issue with the Phoenix Force in Apocalypse. Put simply, the firebird/force you saw on that movie came from the fire surrounding her in the battlefield. If you go back to that scene and watch it in super slow motion, you can literally see her grab the surrounding flames and use it to shape her "Phoenix Force". That's why she appeared to have the power in that movie. She was introduced with the cosmic energy aka Phoenix Force in the movie Dark Phoenix. Hope this helps clear some things up.
@@kydwykyd I understand and get it. However, the phoenix saga is more than just a force attaching itself to the host. The story itself is about grasping the psychological and physiological dealings a 21-year-old woman has to go through when a force of life and death possesses your being. The Phoenix saga has some cool religious and science moments that need full spacing when it comes to storytelling. It's a complex story with a lot of nuances.

The last host would be her Daughter Rachel Grey|Summers in the possible future!! Hope Summers isn't really the actual Jean Grey's daughter but Rachel Grey is!! She's just like her mother but she might have some other powers as well which her mom never had.... not because she was born from the Phoenix but because of Scotty as well!!!! Hope isn't even on Jean Grey's Level. Idk why the White Phoenix of the Crown chose her specifically!! Maybe because Rachel wasn't ready yet!! Hopefully the WPOTC will change her mind someday!! Famke Janssen (the actress playing in X-Men2) looks more badass. While in Dark Phoenix she does things moving her hands (sometimes looks cringe), Famke Janssen does it by only looking with her eyes, face expression, maybe thats a directors choice? I don't know, but in my opinion it looks better.

You missed the scene when Jean Grey took in the Phoenix Force in the middle of space and pieced herself back together. This should have been #2 on the list, and the scene with Magneto should be removed, because it's not a good as the other scenes.
The number one on this list doesn't feature the transformation of Jean Grey into the Dark Phoenix, but rather her transformation into the White Phoenix. From the moment that Jean chooses to fight for good on the train, while speaking to Professor Charles Xavier, she chooses to use the Phoenix Force for good, so becomes its rightful host.
You didn't read the Dark Phoenix... do you? If you do, you will know that this has nothing to do with white phoenix wich is a way to much recent story arch (the Dark Phoenix was written in the 70's), and in wich the movie is based on... the movie clearly was supposed to have a sequel, unfortunately, Twentty Century Fox lost the rights to Disney. The movies doesn't happen exactly like in the comics, but it is similar, the Dark Phoenix didn't actually happened, and that is the problem, she was losing control in the comics and then she leaves Earth, the sequence from the story that the movie told happens later, while in space the Phoenix got Hungry and she devours an Star insta killing an entire alien civilization, from now on, she would do a lot of horrible things that will end with her sacrificing herself in Scott's arms. I really hate when noobs came with BS without knowing the original story...
TBH the final battle or the ending of Dark Phoenix gave me emotions of sadness. It makes me sad seeing Jean being away from her team and sacrificing herself again just to become the force of life and save the universe.

She doesn’t become the dark Phoenix at the end. She becomes the white pheonix of the crown. The dark Phoenix is Jean when she is scared and doesn’t know her powers.

I think if fox wouldve done better at depicting the xmen to begin with and had more time to work with sophie she wouldve grown into maybe the best version of jean grey. But without that i agree,the older version was better.

Because she needs to learn how to be more expressive. Framke did give us emotions with her facial and looks or even body language. She didnt need to talk for the audience to feel her feelings. Sophie not so much. she needs to learn that. Otherwise it will always sound as an actor who memorize the lines and deliver them. Sure she is young, and have time to learn. My favorite is #1 when she use her phoenix powers when she kills many aliens, when the aliens died they were like a thanos snap. She is so badass, so powerful, and my favorite Mutant.

While the set up with the different movies on Jean Grey contradicts themselves, I still love the scenes and Jean Grey will always be a favorite of mine. I hope they make more movies and don't rush the different events, I really hope they focus more on the phoenix details with another movie. Jean Grey is too awesome to NOT do that. Actually during X-Men vs Jean Grey scene in Dark Phoenix. She didn't mean to flip over the police cars and she was trying leave, but unfortunately they provoked her.
The scene selection for this video were good. But I expected much more from the Dark Phoenix movie and the final scene vs the aliens. She literally fought 6 aliens total. Would have been nice if it was 60 aliens jumping at her and she beating them all. We can tell that the Studio didn't have money to give us something like that and we got mere 6 aliens.

My first time watching The X-Men was on a flight to Canada from Europe. It was part 2 and I enjoyed the movie so much (and especially Jean Grey) that I watched the movie on repeat for the rest of the flight. 4-5 times back to back. Was a good experience :D

Your number 1 scene is a bit of a joke compared to what was just a couple of minutes prior, when she first wakes up while in the train. Between when she wakes up and the start of that fight on the ground, she SIMULTANEOUSLY: -Nonchalantly flies backwards at about 60 MPH -Levitates roughly 400 metric TONS of train-car spinning each car like a tumble dryer, and also flies them through the air at about 60 MPH -Carefully levitates and telekinetically shields about half a dozen people in multiple different locations, those shields being strong enough to protect them from several-ton metal chunks slamming into them The writers were woefully inconsistent with her power once she landed the train cars. With that scale of power and multi-tasking focus she could have made every single alien simultaneously explode the instant they showed up at the edge of the clearing.

In a possible future Rachel Grey|Summers the true daughter of the Phoenix will be the next after Hope Summers eventually!!!!! She's said to have gained almost every powers Jean possess and added powers that Jean might not have!! So they have almost the same but some are different!! Technically she doesn’t become dark Phoenix at the end. She becomes one with the Phoenix Force. There is no implication in the movie that she become malevolent. Remember, the Phoenix is the passion that sparked creation and the flame that will ultimately destroy it. The Phoenix Force is technically not evil-it’s a force of nature. It’s only “evil” when it experiences emotion of the host.

Tbh, the story of the Phoenix was definitely a 2 part movie type of thing, I felt. This felt so... rushed. It makes no sense. Jean had the Phoenix Force fighting Apocalypse, but now she gets it again from a space mission....? It's a mess. I do love her as a character though.
Bien Roco but if you’re talking about story arcs, the Phoenix Force enters Jean when she bonds a portion of her soul and essence with the force. It still made no sense in the film from Apocalypse to Dark Phoenix. If she had release the Phoenix in the first movie how is it that she gained it now?
Jean was born with a piece of the force in her. It apparently is what tends to happen most times, before the force bonds with a host, it finds them and a piece of it connects with them. What she did to Apocalypse is what attracted the force to Earth in the first place.

I'm going to be the one to reply and fix everyone's issue with the Phoenix Force in Apocalypse. Put simply, the firebird/force you saw on that movie came from the fire surrounding her in the battlefield. If you go back to that scene and watch it in super slow motion, you can literally see her grab the surrounding flames and use it to shape her "Phoenix Force". That's why she appeared to have the power in that movie. She was introduced with the cosmic energy aka Phoenix Force in the movie Dark Phoenix. Hope this helps clear some things up.

The story itself is about grasping the psychological and physiological dealings a 21-year-old woman has to go through when a force of life and death possesses your being. The Phoenix saga has some cool religious and science moments that need full spacing when it comes to storytelling. It's a complex story with a lot of nuances.

You missed the scene when Jean Grey took in the Phoenix Force in the middle of space and pieced herself back together. This should have been #2 on the list, and the scene with Magneto should be removed, because it's not a good as the other scenes.

You didn't read the Dark Phoenix... do you? If you do, you will know that this has nothing to do with white phoenix wich is a way to much recent story arch (the Dark Phoenix was written in the 70's), and in wich the movie is based on... the movie clearly was supposed to have a sequel, unfortunately, Twentty Century Fox lost the rights to Disney.
The movies doesn't happen exactly like in the comics, but it is similar, the Dark Phoenix didn't actually happened, and that is the problem, she was losing control in the comics and then she leaves Earth, the sequence from the story that the movie told happens later, while in space the Phoenix got Hungry and she devours an Star insta killing an entire alien civilization, from now on, she would do a lot of horrible things that will end with her sacrificing herself in Scott's arms.

Actually during X-Men vs Jean Grey scene in Dark Phoenix. She didn't mean to flip over the police cars and she was trying leave, but unfortunately they provoked her.
The scene selection for this video were good. But I expected much more from the Dark Phoenix movie and the final scene vs the aliens. She literally fought 6 aliens total. Would have been nice if it was 60 aliens jumping at her and she beating them all. We can tell that the Studio didn't have money to give us something like that and we got mere 6 aliens.

Your number 1 scene is a bit of a joke compared to what was just a couple of minutes prior, when she first wakes up while in the train. Between when she wakes up and the start of that fight on the ground, she SIMULTANEOUSLY:
-Nonchalantly flies backwards at about 60 MPH
-Levitates roughly 400 metric TONS of train-car spinning each car like a tumble dryer, and also flies them through the air at about 60 MPH
-Carefully levitates and telekinetically shields about half a dozen people in multiple different locations, those shields being strong enough to protect them from several-ton metal chunks slamming into them
The writers were woefully inconsistent with her power once she landed the train cars. With that scale of power and multi-tasking focus she could have made every single alien simultaneously explode the instant they showed up at the edge of the clearing.

I've always been partial to the deleted scene from Last Stand with Jean Grey and the coffee cup of death. The power she exhibits is impressive enough, but what really sets it off is the demented, power hungry smirk that shows that she's completely into the deadly show with zero regard for the gathering of mutants totally at her mercy. Nightcrawler could teleport her into that other teleporting dimension and leave her there
In my opinion Famke Janssen was much better suited as Jeanne Grey.
I love this movie Sophie Turner killed this roll, and looked so good doing it!
I thought the last xmen movie was sophie's best . She couldve done great things with this role if she had the chance,
