- Woah!! @ZimnyteGD just released the long awaited showcase for Apocalyptic Trilogy by APTeam, a level that totally revamps Cataclysm, Bloodbath, and Aftermath, all in one level! In this video, I'm taking a look at the level and sharing my thoughts :)

Thanks for so many kind words and lots of positivity regarding this project. It was a very big struggle to get it out for plenty of different reasons. But it's finally done 🎉 I was so nervous because I expected so much more negativity and hate towards it but our hard work really paid off ❤ Thanks once again Wulzy!

The deadline of 2.2 is going to force so many long-awaited megacollabs to be released and I'm so excited to see what the community comes up with
Rob said he’d still rate levels made in 2.1 released in 2.2, so I don’t think there’s a rush.
@@neogrimmyes but most 2.1 levels will likely be overshadowed by 2.2 levels because of the hype

@@Doggykh it's sort of a soft deadline, depends on which point of October it releases, and then a few months after that we'll probably start seeing some really cool 2.2 levels
this trilogy simply holds a special place in my heart, so no matter what I'm really happy to see this finished and verified soon

Fun fact, the extra portal in etzers part was originally ment to be the original route but it was deemed too hard and inconsistant so they added slopes below allowing you to go underneath
I love that I keep learning new little pieces of information several years after levels drop. Part of the reason I love making these review videos

I’m so glad this is very faithful to the original levels, while also adding some of the most beautiful aesthetics i’ve ever seen
It’s blinding red, cataclysm had so much more colours AND IT COULD ONLY USE 4

@@rocbot9479Right, it looked mediocre. Especially considering the talent of the creators involved. The original levels are a hundred times more memorable. I couldn’t remember one single part from that whole level. It all kinda blended together.
The aftermath backgrounds are amazing
Also the use of shake helps make the calm parts of the song feel so much more still and serene as you said.

The apocalyptic trilogy is the most iconic hell levels. And this level executes it so perfectly and beautifully.
The level looks absolutely beautiful and I know it’s been a hyped level for years, but I’m afraid it’s not gonna get a feature because of the amount of details and the lag it’s probably gonna have, same as what happened with Ocular Miracle back in 2020, when that level had to be split into 3 because of the lag.
Endy said that the level currently has 400k objects (unoptimized) so no OM situation this time

This truly is an amazing level, the amount of detail in it is crazy.
I love this level to death dude. The intricate details and backgrounds just make this probably the best top 10 to come out

I'm so happy that this project is finally finished! It feels like a culmination of amazing deco, difficulty, and of course the history.

I don’t think this succeeds grief as a hell level, but it’s still a solid level with some true commitment behind it
i think it definitely succeeds grief as a hell level, mainly the intricate backgrounds with pentagrams and lava do that for me. and it’s literally a remake of some of the first extremely iconic hell levels GD ever had. i don’t see how grief could possible be superior in that regard.
I agree, i personally like bloodlust and grief more than this but this is still a good level

@@sussybananica2157 i hate how bloodlust looks, there's too much black everywhere. the deco is very dated as it was made mostly in 2016, and its aged worse than even bloodbath's deco imo. bloodbath looks clean and has an amazing atmosphere

I like the level alot and i really love hell themed levels. And I think this level match with the hell theme levels. Gameplay changed alot from cc bb and am but I know it’s supposed to be different from aftercatabath but idk it’s still a banger level.

Generic hell deco is somewhat overused and bad at times, but when it is executed so perfectly and elegantly like this, its really good.
They should have put the bloodlust ship between cata and bb
oh my lord i was always thinking about what if cataclysm and bloodbath were redecorated and maybe even buffed
The fact that this level lasted almost the whole entire wait from 2.1 to 2.2 is INSANE. and in that time, they made one of the best looking hell Extremes in Geometry Dash
Short answer: Yes ❤😅
One thing I like about the level is how the parts do a good jobs of having a slight transitional element to them. Obviously an example is the transition into Culuc's part, but in general I don't find the transitions between parts to be particularly jarring. I really hate it when people say that parts stick out or don't belong or whatever because usually they don't detract from the level and instead add character and nice visual changes(not to mention people then complain about the parts in ascension to heaven being to similar, which they are NOT) But yeah, I really enjoy this level, though I enjoy most of APTeam's stuff! Good video as well Wulzy!
Edit: I can remember from Zim's kenos video that he mentioned that he likes static elements a lot in deco, not so much move trigger, and I would say I mostly agree with him, levels like kenos tend to over do it, though in slaughterhouse it does add nice texture. All that is to say I think APT does a good job with not overdoing the move trigger useage(though there is that one moving section that used to be in the iconic cata ship part that I really liked where the spikes sprung out.) Overall though, fantastic level, though it probably will suck to play unfortunately, but maybe not.
It would've been amazing if we got riot to verify this masterpiece
Oh my gosh, I have spent so long disliking hell levels for not really being very alive, things like Acheron just… don’t LOOK menacing enough, and this… this is beautiful.

This one level truly fufills my dream of there beign a level that remasters and combines the Hell Trilogy into a modern masterpiece, and it really shows the years of effort in every aspect.
Surely this has more objects than ocular miracle at this point
Edit: from what ive been able to find the level has 450000 objects and Endy is currently working on/or has finished optimising the level while trick practices it. The last update i was able to find said that Endy had managed to get it down to 410000

Despite building for the level this is the first time I've seen the full level since they revamped the deco, sad to see the majority of old names go but what's in its place is definitely awesome and cooler now, and thanks to the team for touching up my 6 year old part and (sincerly) for removing my terribly-aged 7 year old part ;3;)/
Idk if you did this before but I think you should try making a level with a building style that you hate.
It pulled of the hell glow style really well definetly lived up to hype. Im unsure about its difficulty

by the time 2.2 releases, this level will officially be older than the entire 2.1 update
this is like the ultimate hell level.
Many years of building for this level is insane

So Zimnior changed his name, because at first I thought the level was being showcased by a random guy from APTeam or that something happened within the group and Zimnior was no longer the host, but it's all fine. Phenomenal level btw. On second thought, he probably said it after the showcase but I didn't watch that part
Imagine if bloodbath was remaked in 2.2, it would be more than "extreme demon"

honestly i don't just care about raw design, but also about the fact that nerve control is just making the experience a lot different, the ending captures it so well

I do like how it uses coins, most top extremes dont because of their difficult. One of the reasons this levels stood out to me, especially because michiguns gg path coin.
the bloodbath to aftermath transition portal is the only thing that bothers me. they could make the gameplay more 1.9-ish

The only thing I think is bad about this level is the amount of screenshake, it just kills my brain. I feel like the viewing experience might be slightly better without it, but I'm not the reviewer here, Wulzy is.

i have no words to say this is just awesome
im not a fan of the level (bloodlust was the last level for me which remade bloodbath in a non-tiring way) but admit that it has the best hell-themed decoration any 2.1 level will *ever* have
