im a pretty big fan of this level, i think it succeeds really well at what its supposed to be. kinda disappointing seeing it get a ton of hate but i think i like this level so much because i remember watching the toshdeluxe showcase of the OG slaughterhouse
It's better than slaughterhouse I must admit but it is another top 1 hell themed level and quite frankly I want something different and unique

I think that a lot of the gameplay is just really lazily made, and that’s really the only problem I have with it.

5:51 If you oause just right, in the background you can see the EXACT SAME BLOCK STRUCTURE found at the drop of the old Slaughterhouse where the dual wave spam happens.

Not sure if you realised but at 5:30 it pulses to the original spam corridor for a second which I thought was a nice touch.
The fact the transition before Tacos part, and his part also, have the old slaughterhouse references in the background makes it even better

Old slaughterhouse, the impossible level flashes on screen for a second, i personality love that. It's so cool, especially because it's in the most iconic part: the drop that is like silent circles ending spam but instead of like 20 cps 2 player dual, it's like 150 cps.

Just a small correction, Grief is not related to current Slaughterhouse. Slaughterhouse (Current) was a take on the old Slaughterhouse that Grief is based off of, but Grief is not a sequel or sister level to the current Slaughterhouse.

He spends the first 20 seconds of the video explaining that it's a remake of the old impossible level and not the famous current slaughterhouse and later only compared it to the current slaughterhouse when talking about decoration as it makes sense to compare to a recent hell themed level by icedcave. Whenever he talks about original version of grief like at 2:55 or 7:51 he clearly references the old slaughterhouse, the only misunderstandable part in my opinion is at 7:54, but I think even there he refers to the original version of the new slaughterhouse from it's first showcase video and isn't implying that it's the origin of grief.
So, you could say slaughterhouse and grief are cousin levels.

The white part in combination with the song and the part before gave me crazy chills, this is genuienly a perfectly theemed level. Usually I hate on top 1s, but this is amazing.

You didn't notice, but where the level says "Grief" for the second time, it turns into "RIP" right before the next part
I never thought GRIER will end up being this amazing but here we are.

The parts where it flashes to the original slaughterhouse just makes it so much better
there is the skull demon thingy face from the rated slaughterhouse that you talked abt in greif, its at the part where you spam the miniwave through a long corridor, you can see it in the middle

This level looks like a really massive wave challenge but jt really works well!
A nice detail I find is that the pulses into no detail shows parts of the old Slaughterhouse which I think is really neat. Especially since I reaally liked the original

The first drop was mean to be decorated by another person but that person leaked eternal so his part was removed even though it was way better than the current drop

Triplash's part is absolutely my favourite, its soooo gooodddddd!! as someone more into music rather than gd creating, i LOVE the way he almost _muted_ the level with the song at the 3 parts. it also was just so fluid-like, seeming as if it had the physics of water. also the attention of turning "GRIEF" into "RIP" was so sick.
Just read this. Tysm man! I wanted to try and keep the overall feel of the music as connected as I could with the part, and I’m glad to know that it worked out.
I love listening to this guy talk about this level. “THIS IS WHAT I WANTED” had me dying💀

The grief designs is so cool of different connection than slaughterhouse, but has a nice visuals and overdecorated.
