Thanks for pointing out the U.S. made knife. I was already thinking of it for someone as a present and that locked it. I sincerely enjoy your videos. As you note, 2020 just sucks; however your mellow yet informative videos ease the pain. Thank you.
Buck 112 slim select, kabar dozier, Byrd series knives from spyderco. Used em all and they are pretty good for the money, buck takes the show with the forever warranty and 420HC with Bos heat treat!
Just got the Qsp Penguin and have to say it could earn a spot on this list. $30 D2 blade with micarta scales and a rounded spine. Not a bad beater knife.
Two of my favourite knives that I use daily are in this price range, real steel Luna heinnie Haynes edition and the asp penguin, both in d2, a little oil every now and then and d2 is hard to beat
I feel like anyone who would pay $50 for a knife with 8cr13mov isn't paying attention to the knife industry, they are just buying a brand. I don't care if it does have the Spyderco name on it, they need to figure out a way to upgrade their blade steel while still offering a decent value like a lot of other major brands have done.
I love your videos bro. Just letting you know the cover page looks like the tuff lite is getting it from behind. Hahaha! Maybe it’s just me. Love the tufflite though.
Hello, looking for advice I'm searching a knife that is under 3" length (preferably around 2.5") with stainless steel blade, must be locking, good pocket clip, and a ... bottle opener. Other tools too are fine. Preferably under $80 but lower the better as it will be used/abused. EDC for work. I see one option: CRKT Bev-Edge but just wondering if you know of anything else you would recommend. Thanks! And happy holidays!
I just got into the edc knife world and I’m so confused of what to get for a reasonable price. This video showed me there’s more to budget knives then Kershaw and CKRT. I lost my Kershaw Decibel at work (best Kershaw btw) and are looking for a budget friendly replacement... looks like I found a few!
An I the only one who doesn't like the trend of only putting a handle scale on one side of the knife? I'd buy an asada if it had micarta on both sides!
`I have gradually moved to the palce whwere I like flipping liner locks more than others. I am very glad the patent on BMs axis lock expired. I have a couple of Gerber Terminuses (Termin?) that I really like. The knives that I have now are the QSP Locust, Civivi Bull Mastiff, a Spyderco PM2. amd a QSP Neckmuk. And the Wave2 on my belt.
That would be a very long video and only accurate to the person in the video. That subject has so many variables, its not viable for anything but starting pissing matches. Your best bet is to buy "Knife engineering: Steel, heat treating and geometry By Larrin thomas"
Dude I love your channel! Could you recommend a good little knife for my aunt? I wanna get her something with a hot pink handle and a profile that's not super intimidating, but still high quality
I need to find a good folding or fixed blade knife. I have piles of sharpening gear. Now, I just need a knife that can be sharpened to near razor sharp while keeping an edge for a good amount of time. Like, if I needed to field dress a buck and cut it into many pieces, then cut out any carpet and drywall that has blood on it. With as little resharpening as possible. Something like that. I’d also like to pay less than $20 for it, but I expect it to be more. I’m not a psycho, or anything. Of course I expect to pay more than $20. But, it would be nice... 😬

I like my Mini Tuff Lite ( I also have the Tuff Lite but I prefer the mini ;))
Is it just me or does it look like the Feldspar in the video thumbnail has dyed jade G10 scales? It looks like natural jade G10 that has been dyed slightly blue.
I really wish these companies would stop putting a steel liner on the non locking side. There's no need G10 is plenty strong enough!! We want lightweight knives with a thin blade stock that cuts like a laser. If you follow that recipe you'll sell a ton of knives every time.
Love your channel- respectfully disagree. I just got a Victorinox Adventurer for 28 bucks that is an AWESOME knife. As a bonus, super razor sharp right out of the box. Locking blade. EDC for many of us must include screw drivers , etc.
The Efficient is a good design, but this video is focused on knives that were newly released (or re-released in the case of the Cold Steel) in 2020 only. Considering the Efficnent has been out for several years... -DCA
cold steel srkcompact ,thats not a full tang .its more like a mora stick tang. and mora plastic is stronger and that makes them better. and cold steel sheet sucks
How and why is it that Gerber cannot bring a competitive item to market? They're all behind on design, materials, and fit-finish. So what if they make one that looks half cool? How many D2 micarda knives not Taichung can one company possibly make? We're tired of this Gerber Fastball nonsense.
There’s just something about this guy, I just trust him. He seems so nice, just a genuine gent of a man. He’s my new knife go-to guy 👍🏼
Someone needs to give this guy a presenting award
yea, he has this nailed
Someone needs to give him a manicure 🤣🤣🤣
That is Thomas, our video producer with the closeup in-hand shots. -DCA
@@jknightotor I prefer my knife dudes with regular guy hands, not polished nails thanks! lol
@@knifecenter LOL. Way to throw him under the bus! Love the videos, keep 'em coming!
"Some people need that little bit of extra attention." Very diplomatically stated, sir! hahahaha ;)
LOVE the cold steel tuff lite, top class work Knife.

Recently got the CJRB Feldspar. Quality is fantastic.
And it's actually quite good looking.
Great video! How about doing a video on the best non-ball bearing knives available? Because I kinda hate when dust gets in the pivot.
Same

Wow man, you’re good at your job brother. Which one to get is the hardest choice now. God bless!
Thank you for the kind words Luis! -DCA
The wrench and the Spyderco are coo!
Just got the Qsp Penguin and have to say it could earn a spot on this list. $30 D2 blade with micarta scales and a rounded spine. Not a bad beater knife.
I'm really hoping they build on that Sumo line. LOVE that knife, not too accustomed to the currently available aesthetics

2020 best year ever.
Great vid, as always. On top of those great recommendations, I wanna add the QSP PENGUIN, Ka-bar Dozier D2, and the CJRB Maileah .
Maileah is the sliciest knife I've ever owned!
Great video as usual! I’d love to see fixed and folders by price range only USA made... best for each range

Thanks for the datapoints on this blade set.
spyderco astute, civivi exarch, cs srk-c. these are good knives.
You guys should make another pocket cleaver video. I’m looking at a Pilar large in D2 n Buck 236 I believe
Best smaller knives for large hands. Pillar, Para 3, etc
I have the cjrb agave which I really like and just ordered the feldspar.
I love your videos bro. Just letting you know the cover page looks like the tuff lite is getting it from behind. Hahaha! Maybe it’s just me. Love the tufflite though.
Tenacious DNA? Looks like the 1988 “Solo 5” (spyderco). Just found a new (VG10) one yesterday 😊 also picked up a SOO3P 😀
D.C.A you have a very interesting delivery and presentation style. good work sir. Thanks for sharing..
Bastinelli s.i.n is my favourite knife i have seen this year..
Nothing budget about one of those Bro
Great compilation and presentation. I'm particularly interested at the Astute, Shikra and Feldspar.
A premium Tuff Lite with G10/micarta and nice steel would kind of defeat the original point of it but would be SUCH a cool little thing.
And tip up
@@shaggy_e210 Agreed
Oh yeah brother! God bless you
D2 G10 please
I use mine almost exclusively for cutting boxes. A tuff lite in M4 or Maxamet....oh man!
Hey DCA! Great Job!!
Will you show us some Left Handed Knives?
Thank you.
I'm gonna try a cjrb
If it's half as good as the OKC RAT 1...
The Shikra is an amazing knife have the od green in my pocket right now
Hogue! Steal that Sumo design and make it really badass!

Love that sumo ! Great video brother!
Same here, he might have just sold me on that one
great budget lineup and video thanks
Sure like that Cold Steel SRK-C
Fun Fact: the Astute was actually inspired by a traditional knife pattern from Hungary the "Fejesgorbe"
Klasz! Honnan szedted?
Szakonyi tervezte ezt is. Ő mondta még valamilyen leírásban. Pontosabban annyit, hogy vagyományos alapja van de hát nézz csak rá.

An I the only one who doesn't like the trend of only putting a handle scale on one side of the knife? I'd buy an asada if it had micarta on both sides!
That has always been common with framelocks.
I don't fancy that either, but yeah, it comes by framelocking design, opposite to linerlocking.
I don't mind in an under $50 knives... it becomes really sad though in a $1000 knife.
It kinda bothers me but it’s just because of the frame lock and it’s just kinda different so I’m starting be like it but it is weird

That would be a very long video and only accurate to the person in the video. That subject has so many variables, its not viable for anything but starting pissing matches.

Nice list !
If Gerber ever decides to make the Sumo in D2 then I'll buy it.
Gerber...yet another knife design that is just so close.....need to have that kabar hanging on my work bench though!
Is it just me or doesn't that Gerbar sumo look like a budget or per-say copy of the Benchmade Freak??🤔😏
You know what they say about guys with sightly larger than average hands?
They have slightly larger than average gloves!
Thank you
I'd like to see some reviews of tactical gearz pocket knives they're phenominal

Appropriate video for these trying times and also before the holidays. Excellent presentation.
Loved the intro, so true! :)
The tried and true Rat 1 wins over all of these.
You do a good job i like watching your videos
So at 11:02 are you insinuating your fingers are infact average and only your palms are slightly above average? Lol
drinking game, watch knife center and drink when you hear about the slightly larger then average hands

I've got a flatrion and love the knife just a shame that it has the worst pocket clip I've ever had.

No Civivi Ortis. :(

Civivi chronic

For the life of me I don't know how the Spyderco Efficient could be omitted from this list.
I've heard that the efficient is not as favorable as the tenacious, what do you think of that statement?
Austin Freiburger I like the Tenacious too, but it isn’t under $50 bucks. Not that I’ve seen anyway.

KnifeCenter my mistake.

How many people saw the the title pic and thought 'those knives are going at it!'?
How many of you are thinking it now?
I mean, the blue's really giving it to the pink 😂

£60
oops , $60 for the cold steel tuff lite in the UK.

I dont like those that have steel on one side and grip material on the other.
Doa for me.
I just don’t get cleaver blades. Without a point your giving up a lot of the utility. I suppose fashion and function are different.
I think they are supposed to look like a straight razor !
They have points though, they are just more obtuse. And what do you need to stab every day?
Hunter Glaspell don’t need to ’stab’ much but if I need to poke and prod an accute point would help.
Are they all made in China
Except the last one
The Cold Steels are also made in Taiwain.
I've got a dirty mind cause that thumbnail looks so wrong
I REALLY wish that Astute had better steel....ANYTHING but 8cr!!! 😕
