Very original 1979 Honda CR250 Elsinore Red Rocket

If you have followed me for any period of time you’ll know that I love the #honda #cr250 #cr250r #elsinore #redrocket
This 1979 model is my favourite and is in beautiful original condition, I’ve taken the original shock absorbers and silencer off as the shocks need a rebuild. I had some #yssshocks here that I used a few times last season but they don’t fit with the stock silencer so I’ve stuck a #fresco silencer on too.
The bike is really clean & looks to have done very little work to be honest. So much of it is original and in great condition. I’d personally service it and ride it as it is OR have the stock shocks serviced and ride it in stock condition.
Asking £5500 which I think is a bargain price.
The motor runs beautifully and clicks through all of the gears.
I haven’t ridden it as it’s been chucking it down. If it’s dry tomorrow I’ll test it out for you all.

The public could finally purchase a motorcycle similar to what the professional Factory Riders were using, it was a game-changer. Honda set the bar high with the introduction of the Elsinore and again with the red rocket. And of course don't forget the Honda CR500!

I had a brand new 79 250 red rocket, bought from Ludlow service station, I think it cost me around £700 with updated shocks, it was a missile back then, awesome bike. Wish I could find one like yours, great find 👍

im in love im jealous this year was so cool for this simple crazy fast rocket ship i just wanna glass blast it and powder coat it grease it up do the bearings IF NEEDED would be fun to work on these bikes were so effin fast a slow 500 i used to call mine why do we ever sell our bikes oh the pain of loss lol
