Yup. Big fuckin mistake. Before when we were friends, I had no problem with eye contact, just like with the rest of my friends. But after I fell smitten, it was not so easy; and then I would soon start acting weird around her, we kinda stopped talking, and now she is nothing but a distant memory even though she crosses my mind at least everyday. Here are my theories on blushing: 1) Back a long time ago, rosy cheeks could've been seen as a sign of good health, as paleness could show a lack of nourishment. It's my theory that perhaps the body gained its rosy complexion to attract potential mates and show that you would be a strong and healthy partner. 2) My other theory is that blood rushes to your face to calm down nerves. We see blood rushing to the face in most stressful or embarrassing situations, so perhaps this is just one of them. I am in NO WAY a professional on this topic, so these are just my ideas.

Here's a Story... One time I was putting my "crush's" phone number on my contact (idk why). Later, I downloaded a picture of her that she posted on facebook(idk why either). Next, when I was finished, I accidentally called her! And yo, my heart was beating so fast that I dropped my phone! And when I picked it up the floor she answered... And then I hanged up. I felt stupid... 10 seconds later she called back and then I answered within the two seconds she called. She said, "Hello?" I cleared my throat and responded, "Hi..." She said, "Why did you call?" Here are my theories on blushing:
1) Back a long time ago, rosy cheeks could've been seen as a sign of good health, as paleness could show a lack of nourishment. It's my theory that perhaps the body gained its rosy complexion to attract potential mates and show that you would be a strong and healthy partner.
2) My other theory is that blood rushes to your face to calm down nerves. We see blood rushing to the face in most stressful or embarrassing situations, so perhaps this is just one of them.
