    Thanks for this video. I bought the brightening and texture program from ZO. The instructions say to use the 1% retinol brightener in the morning and the wrinkle and texture repair in the evening after the gsr process. Do you think that this is too strong or should I rather alternate between the days? Also, is the overnight cream from skin better similar to the radical night repair?

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      What you purchased is a pretty strong non hydroquinone brightening protocol. It's hard to say what you need without seeing your skin and understanding your concerns. I always think the the stronger protocols should be done under the care of a professional because it can be challenging to recognize expected anticipated reactions and know how to navigate them.
      As for how you should use the protocol, again it really depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you'd like, you could book with me. I do virtual consults to help patients navigate this.
      It's difficult to compare the alpharet technology to the ZO retinols but in short, no, there is nothing from skinbetter that is as strong as the radical night repair, wrinkle texture repair or Complex A.

      My skin couldn’t handle it. ZO is very strong, and maybe I could use both products on the same day, once a month or every other month.

    I’m so glad I found your channel . I have a big question. So I have been using power defense and skin brightner 1% And my face was it’s best . So I purchased the wrinkle texture repair when the skin brightner product was out of stock and have used it for weeks on/off because of the irritation. So I went back to the spa to get more products for dryness and they sold me to get the alpharet. To make it short, I bought the alpharet, trio balance moisturizer and alto defense which I used it on / off and at times I go back to my obagi products. Now my face has broke out with acne which I never have experienced before , I used to have acne but not as what I have now... I stopped using the alpharet products which maybe I think may have caused it since I’ve been using the obagi for years and never had issues like this . Now I’m very worried because it seems like it’s not clearing up . What should I do ?

    Thanks for this informative video😊
    So how does this compare to the Alpharet,skinbetter?
    We probebly all want ALL the benefits of retinol working both on brightning and lines in all layers of the skin? 😅
    Så how to use them together?
    What do you use? And why?
    Thank you for all your good videos! Love ❤

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Alpharet is the most gentle.
      You're right when you mention you want ALL the benefits. That's why there are so many products. Some are corrective. Sometimes one have to choose the problem he or Shen is targeting and concentrate on that. Once the skin is a good healthy place, the focus can be on prevention.

    Thank you for another excellent informative video. I have used Radical Night Repair, Wrinkle and Texture Repair, and Skinbetter Science's Alpha Ret. Lately, I have been going back and forth between Alpha Ret and Wrinkle and Texture repair. Do you think the new Complex A is better/stronger/ more effective than the Wrinkle and Texture repair and/or the Alpha Ret? I cannot get my skin used to Retin A- my last attempt I used it religiously for over 6 months and my skin was red, burning, cracked and peeling the entire time. Now I am having difficulty 'getting used to' the Alpha Ret. Anyway, right now are you liking the Complex A best overall? Thank you!

    Can I ask--I am 41 and my big issues are wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. (Sun spots) I alternate between .5 retinol skin cueticals and skin better science advance apharet overnight.
    I use a lot of skin better science. However, per your rec I tried alastin and wow, there HA serum made my pores disappear!! So I am going to try more. I used all of the skin better even tone and did not see any real improvement so I am going to try the alastin targeted skin brightener.
    Any suggestions on bumping up my retinol game? I have dry semi sensitive skin--not too much though... Thanks!!

      Thank you for sharing! I love the Alastin skin brightener!!!
      AS far as wrinkles and hyperpigmentation, I would suggest 0.1% tretinoin or ZO wrinkle texture and repair.
      If you wanted to really change your skin with a skin restoration protocol, you could consider doing a virtual consultation with me. It's an intense protocol with brilliant results but also downtime.

    Totally unrelated, but are the AHAs in the Oxygen Infusion Wash (SkinBetter Science) delivered by a liposome system to ensure they dissolve the oil glands especially given the fact they are hydrophilic?

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Which of these would you recommend as I want to target hyper pigmentation but also help with fine lines and wrinkles? When investing in this product do you believe in continuing or discontinue over-the-counter chemical peels that target the same concerns? Thanks for your content, love watching your videos while I do skin regimens.

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The best "overall" one that will work on everything, for daily use will be the wrinkle texture and repair.
      In terms of adding peels, it really depends on how you are protocoling ZO. Intense protocols do so much, that I would not recommend adding anything extra. We don't want any unexpected reactions.
      If you are on a relatively gentle daily protocol then I don't see why not!

    Hello, Happy Holidays & Best Wishes, Good Health in the New Year! Currently, I can see the fat pads under eye area on my face. Any products I should focus on in the area? I’m making sure I eat only chicken, turkey, fish, vegetables, some fruit and taking some vitamins, along with vital protein collagen peptides powder. I’m trying to excercise more. Sunscreen is Colorscience. I’m also going through a series of medical tests, I’m in peri menopause, my thyroid medication been increased m even though blood test show normal with previous dosage, but weight gain is the issue.

      Hi! Best Wishes to you as well! A healthy and happy New Year!
      When fat pads protrude, sometimes they can be treated with filler, and sometimes a blepharoplasty is a good option. It depends on whether or not you want surgery and what really bothers you. Talk to your doctor about it. ❤️

      Look into Agnes radio frequency. It goes directly into the fat pad and cauterizes it. It’s not a surgical procedure. It’s super easy! I just had it done. Still waiting for swelling to go down but it’s worth looking into.

    A few questions.....can one be used in am then another pm? Danger in layering these? May examples of skin types or tectures and which one is best?

    • @theocbeautymd
      @theocbeautymd  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, there are protocols that use the skin brightener in am and wrinkle texture in pm. Very aggressive protocols can even use the wrinkle texture or complex a twice a day. This should never be done without supervision though because it is an intense protocol.
