    This thing blew me away. I just now got mine working after a few minutes of nail biting. Issue ended up being my usb 3.0 hub had a 2.0 device plugged into it so the screens wouldn't come up. Literally just uploaded a quick unlisted "Haha - look what I have and you don't" video for a simmer friend of mine before I go to bed. Took longer to put together than I anticipated but I also recorded a few videos to later upload (much later). The only gripe I have was they shorted me 3 usb c cables. This thing takes 10 usb cables. I can't believe how awesome it is. Far above my expectations. Most people don't like the quiet keys but I prefer them. I have too many complainers living with me so the quieter my switches, knobs and buttons are, the better. I wouldn't bother downloading the drivers (they call drivers but is the Displayling software) from the app or their site. Google it and download from the source. It's newer. Major love for WinWing lately. I bought the Orion 2 base, F18 stick, Super Taurus with F18 handles, a few things from Virpil and a ton from MonsterTech. WinWing's service blows them all away. From ordering to in my hands in only a week (from China to Florida). They update their site several times a day while Virpil just lists everything out of stock on purpose due to their new delivery fairness system and I won't even start my gripes about monstertech. WinWing is my new favorite everything. Here's my one minute video. A much more in depth one will be done when I eventually get my rig (6 month wait on the seat, so it will be a while)... th-cam.com/video/yLwYaXYn8pU/w-d-xo.html

    It took a couple weeks of fiddling with the UFC to get the characters to show up on the display. Worked with WinWing support for several days of trying various fixes to no avail. In the end, the "repair lua" button solved my problems (although that didn't work at the start of the mess). It's still a bit of a hassle to get up and running because the screens are always moving around and changing back to landscape mode. I've got it down to just a min or two to get the screens worked out. I have two 1440p and one 2560x1980 with the three MIP screens under it. The two 1440p monitors are not used in DCS. I wish it all just turned on and worked and maybe someday it will. Until then, I can live with a bit of hassle prior to launching DCS. Waiting for the F-16C add on.

    Anyone else having map issues with this setup? I just got the MIP setup and now my map is about a third of the screen and to the left. Also when I try to click on map icons I have to click about 7 inches to the right of the icon I want to click on. Not sure how to fix this. Lastly, the F16 DED is about 2 seconds slow when I try changing anything. There's a delay. Not sure why either.

    I have installed the drivers from display link. Simapp pro says my drivers are installed but I am stuck at “check display settings in windows”.
    Windows 11 is not recognizing the monitors and when I check usb devices in settings it says “Driver Error” under each winwing usb 3.0 display.

      I would try plugging the USBs from display into different spots. I had to use 2 separate powered hubs to get mine to work right, if they were all 3 plugged into the same hub, windows would not recognize them properly. You may have to rebind the buttons on the controls settings screen in DCS

    This is very good information with the walkthrough and setup... What I have a question on is... Currently my DCS monitor settings are triple screen x 4k.. In the dcs; it will display 11520x2160... Using the 3 usb displays - would it require these settings to be modified??? Also does it impact FPS??? How is the display performance on the USB screens??? Finally, can you display the F16 MFD imaged onto these displays??

    • @DCSTex
      @DCSTex  ปีที่แล้ว

      SIMAPP pro will edit the lua in the monitor setup to use all your screens and place the MFDs appropriate. I mainly play in VR, so I won't be using the screens much until mixed reality becomes a thing. I can't answer your FPS performance. The screens seems to work fine but maybe a little dim. I'm not a viper guy so I can't help you with the F-16 images either

    • @brettbonotto5840
      @brettbonotto5840 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They work perfectly on the F-16 and the lower screen shows the HSI. I dont have the harrier, but I tested it on the Warthog and it actually worked fine (I just set the winwing software to F-18). The Lua file just gets edited for generic MPCD Left and MPCD Right, so any airplane that outputs the screens with those commands will work. I would wager the harrier works fine.

    Hi John. Thank you for this. I have my MPI all set up. And working fine. But one really annoying issue that seems to involve how Win 11 handles attached USB monitors. I set up the orientation (portrait) and placement of the 3 USB DDI screens in the Display Settings in relation to the main screen I’m using (LG 48 Ultragear 4K gaming monitor), apply it, synch in the SinApp Pro dashboard, and activate the DDIs. All good. BUT every time I restart the computer, it changes the display settings of my USB monitors, changing them back to landscape and placing them alongside my main monitor, not underneath it where I arranged it. In short, Win 11 Display Settings will NOT remember the previous display arrangements. Every time I start the computer, I must rearrange this USB monitors again. Extremely annoy8 g and I cannot find a solution on the web. Did you also have this problem? Any idea on how to fix? Thank you.
