    Do holograms get removed when laminating a holographic poster?

    • @mybinding
      @mybinding  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Generally you can laminate holographic posters and it will not be a problem. That being said, there is still a chance that the one you have is heat sensitive, which could cause issues. Check to see if you are using a heat sensitive hologram material--otherwise it should be safe. You may be able to also go to a Fedex/Kinkos to test one of your posters if you don't have access to your own laminator yet. If you then decide you need your own laminator or materials then check out our website(we have tons of videos if you need help too): www.mybinding.com/laminating/laminators.html

    I laminated a piece of paper, it was all the right settings but it came out wavy, it wasnt too hot because it was JUST turned on and the ready light JUST turned green. help?

    • @mybinding
      @mybinding  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Nikko99 It may be worth it to try turning down the heat anyways, even if it should be correct. Also make sure that the thickness of pouch is correct for the heat. One thing you could try(if you aren't already) is to use a carrier at the same temperature. We recommend using a carrier for all projects if your machine supports them anyways. A wavy page usually means it's just too hot, so play around with turning the temperature down. If the ready light turns green it is at full temperature for the setting, which means your setting is probably too hot for some reason.

      MyBinding.com unfortunatly I dont have a laminator with a heat setting..... just the 3mm and 5mm setting

    • @mybinding
      @mybinding  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is wavy, then using a carrier may help still because it will lessen the amount of heat on the pouch(and keep your machine cleaner). Set it to the 3 mil setting, and if anything, you can also try different pouches; it could be the quality of the pouches or the machine. I wish there was an easy answer...I hope this has helped you though. If you have more questions you can also talk to our customer service: 1-800-944-4573

    "leminator"

  • @sootylum
    @sootylum 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    "Creased end" means what sorry?

    • @mybinding
      @mybinding  10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      There is one end that connects the two sides of lamination together. It is that end that we are referring to. All lamination has a lamination sheet for the front and the back, using the two to seal your page in. With lamination pouches, one end is already sealed so all you have to do is insert your page and laminate. Again, this pre-sealed spot is the "creased end."
