Sometimes I don’t wear makeup because I don’t want foundation to hide my very peachy-pink cheeks. When I wear my Spring colors, I get a natural glow up anyhow!
I also use the "Holidays". I think of the Fall - Halloween, by picturing a field of pumpkins against a blue sky. Easter eggs painted yellow and violet and yes, Christmas red and green.
I'm 32 and think of the colors more like Lucinda, but I like Sara's method! I think of Christmas and Easter, as well as a summer sunset over the ocean for orange and blue.
I just know them because I know the color wheel very well. But an easy way is Red/Green = Xmas. Yellow/Purple =Easter. Blue/Orange = Halloween. Personally I have found peach tinted concealer to be the best color corrector even for redness. Green doesn't really work for me.
If you’re in the mid-south, you can remember purple and yellow if you’re an LSU fan-geaux Tigers! (OK, they’re purple and gold, but helping my fellow southerners out).
I have red spider veins on my chin and green color corrector doesn’t hide it, nor concealers but I notice it’s better not gone but better if I do not wear a primer 😂love all of your videos❤
I have very sallow skin (light olive?) and use a transparent purple color corrective. I also use an orange cream under my flesh-toned concealor. It works, but the silicone bases can be a very hot during a South Florida summer.
I feel kind of stupid, but I didn’t not understand anything from the video. To begin with, I have never heard of complimentary colours, neither Xmas, etc. But I can swear, I have never seen a red or green concealer, they are all beige. So what are we talking here about, undertone?? Will need much deeper explanation for beginners
Don’t feel stupid-this video is part of a long series, so they assume the viewers already know some color theory. Luckily, there are tons of videos on TH-cam for beginners-just search “color theory” or “color wheel” and “beginner” or “101” or “easy”, etc. It’s pretty simple once you’ve seen a few good videos! As for concealers/color correctors that are green, I know that e.l.f., LA Girl and NYX make them. (Probably more brands too, search Google if you need more suggestions.) I’ve never seen a true red concealer/corrector-they will actually be a lighter shade, either pink or peach. Hope that helps! The world of color is a fun place…just do a little searching and soon you can learn what these ladies are talking about!
For most people a true color corrector isn't really necessary. For your average redness a concealer that is "too yellow" will work. Obviously what too yellow is will be different depending on your skin. Yellow won't work as well as green though so if you have very strong rosacea or are going for a very full coverage look then a true green color corrector may be better for you. The same applies for dark circles, a peachy concealer can work. Good color correctors are few and far between and I've never seen one that didn't have a terrible shade ranges. This also falls apart with sallowness. I've never seen a concealer with a purple undertone. Maybe a pinky one could do something.
Speaking of Patreon: I decided to support this channel that I appreciate very much. So I opted for the cost free version. Watch out - one incidental 'wrong' click, and you end up 'upgraded' to the paid version including regular costs and invoices. That came as an unexpected (and unfair!) surprise to me. I immediately unsubscribed. Disappointed.
@@christigallup2175 That is undoubtedly true. I would not have tried to join if I did not appreciate both COLOR CLASS and the community. Yet, I think what happened to me is not just a negative coincidence. The whole thing is aimed at 'updating' naive users into the paid section, and I guess it is only fair to place a warning for beginners.

The brilliance of these two women. I am constantly learning.
The video I didn't know I needed
You both look so beautiful today ♥️

😉 insomnia and 62. Very informative 👏 😊 purple and yellow 💜 💛 .
I got my Color Analysis Book…LOVE IT…100% WORTH IT !!!❤️❤️❤️
I agree! Love mine!
I'm totally with Sara
My husband is into football. Denver Broncos - blue and orange, MN Vikings-purple and Yellow and Xmas of course.

There are 3 primary colors. Red's complementry color is the mix of yellow and blue.
Yellow = red+ blue
Blue= red + yellow
Ok, I just love Lucinda's top. Is it available somewhere or do I just have to envy it?
This particular one with the beautiful embroidery on the sleeves was a thrift store find. 💕

I’m sixty nine and yes, the Easter colors were purple and yellow.
I associate yellow and purple with basketball and mardi gras and orange and blue with cheese puffs or cheetos 😂

So true. Most of the colored correctors are ether too thick - you have to put whole face of makeup with them, or the shades are terrible

Sorry you had a problem. The work they do and information is so worth it to support them. We have a community there that's fun.
