The longer I live the less I like people. I’ve been sensitive my entire life (71 yrs) but for some reason people tell me I need to change lately. I’ve decided to quit caring how others think of me. 2025 I’m going to look out for myself and quit trying to save the world. Don’t let what others think matter to you! I know, easier said than done!! I've been made to feel bad about my weight from a very young age. My mother fat shamed me from kindergarten up until she passed. I was never going to be skinny enough for my peers at school or my mother. Even at work when I was the thinnest I'd been, a lady fat shamed me and it hurt like hell. Wayne, you are wonderful just as you are in this moment in time. As I get older, 61, my tolerance for Bull***t, cruelty, and disrespect is at an all-time low. I made a conscious effort to eliminate these types of people from my life over a year ago. Boundaries are a good thing and the joyful people who are in my life have brought me such happiness and support. Dealing with dementia can be soul-sucking. Oh Wayne, I totally felt that when you talked about your partner’s family member with vascular dementia. We had a family member with what was diagnosed as ‘Alzheimers’ but the decline was much slower than is typical with Alzheimer’s and I would not be surprised if it was actually vascular dementia. It did truly put a dark cloud over everything. I’m impressed that you’ve been able to keep up with your channel at all, and I don’t blame you for wanting to move to short-form videos. And as for your weight … you look great. No more need be said about that!
Audacity is on sale and it feels like people are stocking up! People have been really out there with what they think is acceptable to say to another human being. I am so sorry that you have had these types of interactions with people recently. I read somewhere once - not sure who the actual credit should go to - but it is a phrase I use often. “ There are three places you can stay for free. 1. In your lane. 2. Over there. 3. You’re sooo right! I think humans have become so used to being keyboard warriors and a built in anonymity that now they’re practicing this same ballsy snark in real life. We’ve become allergic to social grace, long conversations, talking on phones (never mind letter writing and emails!) and basic human communication and compassion. Heck, it’s even too much to put in “I” at the beginning of a sentence, people just go straight to “Wanted to ask u…”. We’re regressing back to Neanderthal speech, just give it a decade!

Wayne, my career is a nutritionist and weight loss expert, and I personally think it is outrageous that anyone EVER mentions weight , size, shape or any physical characteristics of any individual. Even, on my courses, I focus on health markers, of which weight is just one. You look absolutely great to me, no need for comment. It is all about the individual, how they feel about themselves, their health biomarkers (can they improve) and along with it vitality and good mental health. There are many many reasons why some individuals are overweight and underweight!, and some are extremely challenging to overcome. It is no different regarding something personal like fertility - everyone seems to think it's ok to ask why you've got no kids - really - just shut up! You just have to accept some people are born without empathy and nothing going out of their mouth is filtered, or passes any test of 'if it's not kind - keep your mouth shut'! Hope your next year brings some relief to your situation and the short form videos sound great - as long as you don't omit the wink!! lol

Wayne, You are so loved and I will always make time for your videos long or short ! There is a noticeable amount of negative energy everywhere that has become more apparent over the last year. I have had to step back and ask God to lift me up and guide me at times when there really didn’t seem to be anything necessarily wrong but drama literally came out of nowhere ! It was weird but I worked through it and recognized my strengths. Even just 10 years ago I would’ve been consumed with self-doubt, guilt and conflict instead of standing my ground and moving forward. My husband used to be on the military. He left and decided to be a truck driver to support our family. Long hours of driving, sitting and eating. Of course, he is overweight. When somebody comments, he pinchs his belly (ala Homer Simpson) and says: “This is the good life I’m living”. Wayne, you are a gentle soul, and an intelligent and kind person. It's obvious from this side of the screen. Listen, I grew up military. Soldiers must submit to inspections, and higher ranking soldiers will assess appearance, or attention to details of the uniform. When someone makes a comment about your appearance, they are attempting to 'pull rank', as if they are superior and therefore entitled to comment. I would suggest going low contact with those sour and jealous people.

I completely understand how you feel about a loved one gradually fading away because of vascular dementia. My mum has it and it's horrible. She forgets, but she can still perceive that she is unwell and it's painful.
I don't think he was expressing concern about whether or not he's overweight. I think he was reacting to others' rudeness, and how many people he's been around who either don't know or don't care how rude such comments are.
My husband and I have taken in, to live with us three family members with dementia. Last one is now in nursing home, it was extremely hard. Prayers for you. You are an awesome person. I rarely rarely watch TikTok and I do look at Instagram every now and then but I just don’t like it. A few years ago, I made a conscious decision only to interact with decent, interesting people wherever possible. Life throws enough challenges our way without inviting in unnecessary stress (it's easier to refine the social media experience if you're not a creator, I'm sure!). As you described, changing to what excites and brings you joy can only be a good thing. Listen to your own instincts, not outside predatory pressure. I agree, Wayne. It has been a difficult year. We lost my father-in-law to dementia back in May. My mother also has dementia and no longer recognizes me. I'm in my 50's and my parents are in their 90's; I'm preparing myself for another horrible year, as the health of both have drastically declined this year. As far as weight is concerned, you're not alone. My husband and I had people say horrible things to us, but we're both on the short side and it definitely shows on our stature. I chalk it up to people being so miserable that they feel a need to drag us down alongside them. I can be a tad on the fiery side and, if warranted, I won't hold my tongue. 😈 You're well aware that what's most important is the way YOU feel about yourself. Bless you, my sister has dementia, she got it early 69 yrs old, she will be 76 in April, she still knows who I am but she can’t make conversation, she just says a bunch of words and smiles and shrugs her shoulders. It breaks my heart, she’s also my best friend and only friend. I pray for the Lord to not let her suffer.🙏🏻🙏🏻

It's as if my Mom is content being in her own little world, with the exception of the things that abruptly irritate her without logical reasoning. I lost my oldest sister, my Godmother, (I was an oops) 9 years ago to Crohn's disease with subsequent organ failure, and she was my best friend. I was blessed to be by her side when she passed, but miss her every day. It is difficult, but I do find comfort knowing that she is finally at peace. I adore your name. My Mamaw (Mom's mother) passed away when I was a baby so I never got to know her. Her name was Beatrice, and I grew up hearing lovely stories about Mamaw Bea. I’m blessed my husband moved us 9 years ago, he said as we’re getting older I want you to live closer to your sister not knowing she would get this horrible disease. I only live 10 miles away from her and I take her with me to run errands just to get her out of the house and I’ll pick her and her pup up and take them to the park to walk our furbabies. I can only go to the park is the weather is below 70 degrees cause my pup can’t take the heat, he’s a Sheltie. My sister has somewhat reverted back to her childhood at times, she loves to color in color books and plays with these little stuff animals we call Beanie Babies. God willing I’m taking her on a trip to Florida in March, meeting up with my daughter to go watch my grandson play baseball, he’s a senior this year in college. I took her last year and we had so much fun, I have videos we made with her, I even had her dancing in some of them, of course I had to dance to. Beautiful memories I can watch forever. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

2024 has been a year of clarity. Don't change who you are at your core --- it's not you. There's a sizeable segment of people today that default to projection and there's little you can do about it outside of calmly call them on it and put in place boundaries. Some relationships have an expiration. I wish you and your family a wonderful, healthy, and fulfilling new year --- I think this will be a good one.

A while back I read a nice piece of advice on how to handle what I call the social rattle snake attack. You look them in the eye, if possible as it was a phone call, and quietly, calmly say "Why would you say something like that?" This gives someone having a bad day to opportunity to backtrack and rethink. Or they get mad and you end the conversation once and for all. The real problem with being there for people is that after a year or so, they can often move you into a resource rather than friend role. I just sadly had it happen to me with an elderly friend of ours. We had to put our feet down. It's difficult, but it has to be done for one's own health and survival. Either they will see sense, or go latch onto someone else. Happy New Year, you absolute genius!

I've been made to feel bad about my weight from a very young age. My mother fat shamed me from kindergarten up until she passed. I was never going to be skinny enough for my peers at school or my mother. Even at work when I was the thinnest I'd been, a lady fat shamed me and it hurt like hell. Oh Wayne, I totally felt that when you talked about your partner’s family member with vascular dementia. We had a family member with what was diagnosed as ‘Alzheimers’ but the decline was much slower than is typical with Alzheimer’s and I would not be surprised if it was actually vascular dementia. It did truly put a dark cloud over everything. I’m impressed that you’ve been able to keep up with your channel at all, and I don’t blame you for wanting to move to short-form videos. And as for your weight … you look great. No more need be said about that!

Wayne, my career is a nutritionist and weight loss expert, and I personally think it is outrageous that anyone EVER mentions weight , size, shape or any physical characteristics of any individual. Even, on my courses, I focus on health markers, of which weight is just one. You look absolutely great to me, no need for comment. It is all about the individual, how they feel about themselves, their health biomarkers (can they improve) and along with it vitality and good mental health. There are many many reasons why some individuals are overweight and underweight!, and some are extremely challenging to overcome. It is no different regarding something personal like fertility - everyone seems to think it's ok to ask why you've got no kids - really - just shut up! You just have to accept some people are born without empathy and nothing going out of their mouth is filtered, or passes any test of 'if it's not kind - keep your mouth shut'! Hope your next year brings some relief to your situation and the short form videos sound great - as long as you don't omit the wink!! lol

Wayne, You are so loved and I will always make time for your videos long or short ! There is a noticeable amount of negative energy everywhere that has become more apparent over the last year. I have had to step back and ask God to lift me up and guide me at times when there really didn’t seem to be anything necessarily wrong but drama literally came out of nowhere ! It was weird but I worked through it and recognized my strengths. Even just 10 years ago I would’ve been consumed with self-doubt, guilt and conflict instead of standing my ground and moving forward. My husband used to be on the military. He left and decided to be a truck driver to support our family. Long hours of driving, sitting and eating. Of course, he is overweight. When somebody comments, he pinchs his belly (ala Homer Simpson) and says: “This is the good life I’m living”. Soldiers must submit to inspections, and higher ranking soldiers will assess appearance, or attention to details of the uniform. When someone makes a comment about your appearance, they are attempting to 'pull rank', as if they are superior and therefore entitled to comment. I completely understand how you feel about a loved one gradually fading away because of vascular dementia. My mum has it and it's horrible. She forgets, but she can still perceive that she is unwell and it's painful.

A few years ago, I made a conscious decision only to interact with decent, interesting people wherever possible. Life throws enough challenges our way without inviting in unnecessary stress (it's easier to refine the social media experience if you're not a creator, I'm sure!). As you described, changing to what excites and brings you joy can only be a good thing. Listen to your own instincts, not outside predatory pressure.

I love you so, so much. For YEARS. There is nothing about you NOT to love. That person that spoke to you on the conference call is a low value person but there are a lot of them out there. They will disappoint you, stab you in the back sometimes but you play the game by gathering info constantly and adjusting your opinion accordingly. Don't let the assholes change you. I agree, Wayne. It has been a difficult year. We lost my father-in-law to dementia back in May. My mother also has dementia and no longer recognizes me. I'm in my 50's and my parents are in their 90's; I'm preparing myself for another horrible year, as the health of both have drastically declined this year. As far as weight is concerned, you're not alone. My husband and I had people say horrible things to us, but we're both on the short side and it definitely shows on our stature. I chalk it up to people being so miserable that they feel a need to drag us down alongside them. I can be a tad on the fiery side and, if warranted, I won't hold my tongue. 😈 You're well aware that what's most important is the way YOU feel about yourself. Bless you, my sister has dementia, she got it early 69 yrs old, she will be 76 in April, she still knows who I am but she can’t make conversation, she just says a bunch of words and smiles and shrugs her shoulders. It breaks my heart, she’s also my best friend and only friend. I pray for the Lord to not let her suffer.🙏🏻🙏🏻
@@BlingyBea I'm so sorry this horrible disease has impacted your family, as well. It can be such a helpless feeling not knowing if they are suffering. It's as if my Mom is content being in her own little world, with the exception of the things that abruptly irritate her without logical reasoning. I lost my oldest sister, my Godmother, (I was an oops) 9 years ago to Crohn's disease with subsequent organ failure, and she was my best friend. I was blessed to be by her side when she passed, but miss her every day. It is difficult, but I do find comfort knowing that she is finally at peace. I adore your name. My Mamaw (Mom's mother) passed away when I was a baby so I never got to know her. Her name was Beatrice, and I grew up hearing lovely stories about Mamaw Bea. I'm keeping you and your sister in my thoughts and prayers. 🙏✌💙

I’m blessed my husband moved us 9 years ago, he said as we’re getting older I want you to live closer to your sister not knowing she would get this horrible disease. I only live 10 miles away from her and I take her with me to run errands just to get her out of the house and I’ll pick her and her pup up and take them to the park to walk our furbabies. I can only go to the park is the weather is below 70 degrees cause my pup can’t take the heat, he’s a Sheltie. My sister has somewhat reverted back to her childhood at times, she loves to color in color books and plays with these little stuff animals we call Beanie Babies. God willing I’m taking her on a trip to Florida in March, meeting up with my daughter to go watch my grandson play baseball, he’s a senior this year in college. I took her last year and we had so much fun, I have videos we made with her, I even had her dancing in some of them, of course I had to dance to. Beautiful memories I can watch forever. 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️

I’ve cried tears and felt such sorrow over the Christmas 2 days of the Eve and actual day. I felt attacked over several aspects of my personality that were downright insulting. I’m trying to work very hard to let it go, but these very people that I give of myself, my possessions, my money and my time and have never, ever insulted them. What I’m trying to say is I’ve experienced your exact unnecessary and for no reason hurtful remarks, so I feel your disappointment in the lack of respect that was so distasteful towards me. Wayne, you are GORGEOUS! And 6’ tall is perfection. I’m guessing anyone trying to shame you is jealous and wanting to see you feel the way that they probably feel about themselves, even though you’d never want them to feel badly. I hate when people we love and aren’t trying to compete with, feel like competing with us, so want to bring us down. You continue being awesome and maybe one day they’ll stop being miserable 😘

2024 has been a year of clarity. Don't change who you are at your core --- it's not you. There's a sizeable segment of people today that default to projection and there's little you can do about it outside of calmly call them on it and put in place boundaries. Some relationships have an expiration. I wish you and your family a wonderful, healthy, and fulfilling new year --- I think this will be a good one.
Can't wait to see you on TikTok & IG! So sorry to hear about your family member. My father in law had vascular dementia before he passed. And my brother in law has it now. It was & is hard seeing them slip away like that.

Wayne, I'm so sorry to learn about the difficulties you are experiencing. I know the black cloud that comes with dementia and is indeed very dark. As for the others...F*ck them! I am endlessly grateful for all of your effort and content that you have shared for years...I'll be here to view any advice and tips when you have time to share them. A while back I read a nice piece of advice on how to handle what I call the social rattle snake attack. You look them in the eye, if possible as it was a phone call, and quietly, calmly say "Why would you say something like that?"
This gives someone having a bad day to opportunity to backtrack and rethink. Or they get mad and you end the conversation once and for all.
The real problem with being there for people is that after a year or so, they can often move you into a resource rather than friend role. I just sadly had it happen to me with an elderly friend of ours. We had to put our feet down. It's difficult, but it has to be done for one's own health and survival. Either they will see sense, or go latch onto someone else. Happy New Year, you absolute genius!
I'll bet there are plenty of people who would respond to that by saying they are only saying it out of concern for your health...and at least some of them might even believe it.
I actually prefer the short videos just because I often don’t have time to watch a longer video but still want to see what’s new. I end up Speeding through the video to save time. Love your new plan!
