To add to this, this was also a free concert! They started setting up, and it basically spread by word of mouth. By the time EJ started playing there was a large crowd. There is video of people sprinting towards Central Park to get there!

Thank you for this flashback, AB. I remember when this album was first released. Our parents said that we would "get over this horrible music" when we grew up. Wrong. I have my Medicare card and I still love it!

As far as I know, this was one of the first and only times an artist at the stature of EJ did something like this.

Studio version is better. The sound is kinda ruined by the loud crowd. The beginning should be contemplative. This is one of my favorites of his. Should have done the album version.
