I had similar thoughts about the stock seat, I wanted something with a little more grip but had a low profile. I went with the Saddlemen Step Up seat which is pricey but so far totally worth it. It has just the right amount of support when laying on the throttle. Hope your solo seat holds up over time.
Hey man, how does it feel height wise? Does it push you back or forward? And do you feel like you’re more in the bike or on it? Also, how tall are you. Appreciate your help
I'm also looking at this seat for my Forty Eight. How is it now? Do you feel that the sore butt syndrome after an hour is there at all? The stock Forty Eight seat is actually way better than other seats I've mounted. I'd hate to "upgrade" for the looks only to find out the stock one is more comfortable... I'm even considering having it recovered by a local upholsterer.
You should probably stick with the stock if it's comfortable for you. I think this one is mainly for looks. I've been fine on it, but my stock was more comfortable. But I do like these for the looks so im ok with them.
@@kevlarxkoffee Thanks for the response! I’d rather keep the stock one- you just helped me decide. Looks like my local upholstery place is getting my money 💰!
@@kevlarxkoffee By the way, I’m like you where I love to ride swiftly especially in the NH hills where I live! Not stupid riding, but sporting! These bikes are great for like 7/10ths type riding
Hi there, what size rear shocks do you have on your bike. Mine came with 13.5 inch ones and it looks like an off-road bike so thinking of swapping them with something like the ones you have. Thanks and keep up the good work
I have the 11.5", but I did wish I went a bit higher. At least 12". You should research the Burly brand shocks too. I see a lot of people using those. Might be better.
I did a 2inch tank lift on my Iron. I did it w/o removing the tank.
Nice riding man!

Where do you buy??
Would this fit a virago 750 ?
Where can I get that seat??
There should be a link to it in the description. Drag Specialties Seat.
Do the stock cables work with those bars? I'm guessing they're biltwell frisco bars?
Yup Frisco bars. I have an install video for it with info in the description.

What mirrors are those? I have a 2020 883 and when I flip the mirrors the bike came with they hit the tank.
Those are stock mirrors. They don't hit the tank because I changed to 8 inch bars. I remember my mirrors hitting with the stock bars.
@@kevlarxkoffeethanks man!
