Yeah I use my bike for around town for the most part, great for that. For longer distances, I've heard good things about the Mustang seats being very comfortable.
My Bare Bones solo seat finally took its toll on my backside on a 4 hour Vermont ride last year so I finally opted for the Le Pera Aviator Solo Seat. Amazing difference without sacrificing too much of the minimalist look I wanted to retain. I took the ride again some weeks later and suffered much less.
Great video. Ive met some cool sporty guys and like you said, the community is awesome. I own a 2017 X1200X forty eight. And although i love the look of the stock 48 seat , biggest complaint is sliding off of it. Nice to hear the review of this seat. I like your mods. And congrads on the upgrade to a FXDL
looks great !!! i'm getting a 92 883 thrown in on a trade . kind of a thrown in to enhance the deal i'm involved in . 3415 miles on it. I think i just might keep it . and put one of those solo seats on it . awesome .
I have this same seat on my sportster 72 and although it looks really nice i am all the time pulling myself forward because i constantly feel like im gonna fly off the back.
Hey did you have a video on a spring seat vs a regular seat. I can't find much info. Seems like it might just be preference. Wanted your thoughts. Haven't seen you ride any springs seats that I can remember at least.
I’m torn Between this one and the stub cafe. I like the bare bones look but if that back of the seat curve that keeps you off the fender isn’t much better than the stock or the 48 I’ll probably go with the stub cafe. Any final thoughts?
Love the additions. You said in your 48 seat video that you were sliding off the back and that it took some getting used to. Did you find that with the bare bones also?
Hey Blockhead, Do you think a taller 883 rider would befit from this seat? I have a 2016 Iron and want to get myself back as far possible to stretch out on the bike. I have forward controls on was toying with mini apes. Advice would be great!
Haha that prediction didnt take that long to come true :D Personally I like the barebones with the lip going up the tank. It flows the lines better and also for the same price you give your nuts some extra comfort :)
Question for you brotha I just purchased the lepera bare bones diamond stitch for the 48 for my 2020 iron 883 because you sold me on the look of yours my main concern is I want to get the matching pillion seat for my wife would I go with the one that fits the 2020 iron 883 now and if so will it fit since I’m putting the 48 seat on there now new to Harley it’s my first one and you seem to know a lot judging by your vids hope to hear back soon great vids take care be safe
Basically should I buy the bare bones passenger seat for my 2020 iron 883 in the 48 model or 883 model I have the 48 solo on now just worried about fitment and everything lining up thanks look forward to your help and response
that seat is really sexy. Another inspiration for my iron. She is waiting for me at my harley store, just need my drive license coming in 2 weeks... can't wait ;) . Thanks again for your videos and ride safe.
I love the way this seat looks. But I put one on my 1200 two months ago and I just can't mesh with it. It pushes me about an inch forward and being 6'4, that's no good haha. The stock 2016 seat feels so much better imo. Probably throwing the le pera on eBay soon. Such a bummer cause it looks so rad.
BLOCKHEAD haha surprisingly I don't feel cramped with forward controls and the stock seat on my 1200c. I'm just not into dynas and road kings and shit hahaha
Just b/c you don't see me zipping around town in these videos doesn't mean I don't enjoy speed. I respect the bike and get on it when I feel like it, but I don't get stupid with it ;)
Is the seat really comfortable? The stock seat is straight horrible. How would you describe the cushioning? Sturdy? Soft? I want to purchase another seat but need something with great cushioning!
It's much more comfortable than the stock seat, but if you're looking for something with lots more comfort, I've heard the Mustang seats are really good.
IMO I've already thought about this. Front fender in FL helps keep the moisture from the road off my face (rains every day in FL summer.) The boots might get ditched though.
yo blockhead, good info about the forms and that seat looks awesome on the bike! and you said HUMMER AND THEY SUCK. GET IT HA,HA,HA......I'm a big man child .
where is the installation/unboxing
Dammit, I forgot to upload and schedule it! I'm gonna blame it on me currently being on vacation :D
BLOCKHEAD all is cool, was just confused. we shall see IHOP mechanic shop soon enough :D
Got it uploading now and scheduled for tomorrow AM! :)
Dziękujemy.
I have the smooth Bare Bones seat on my Iron 1200 SE kit bike. Great minimalist style but only provides me limited seat time.
Yeah I use my bike for around town for the most part, great for that. For longer distances, I've heard good things about the Mustang seats being very comfortable.

I have the same one on my Nightster...love the seat look and feel. Looks awesome on your Iron.
Thank ya!
looks sweet gives the bike a vintage look

Subbed. I just moved to Brevard County and I am looking into purchasing an Iron 883 and love the way this seat looks!
good choice! Cool!
LePera is famous in Japan.
I made my own Harley seat.
I have this same seat on my sportster 72 and although it looks really nice i am all the time pulling myself forward because i constantly feel like im gonna fly off the back.

looks awesome bro way better than a seat with springs on it in my opinion
Thanks man! Yeah I'm liking it a lot :)
old vid but was curious if you sit back a further or about the same as the forty eight seat
I’m torn Between this one and the stub cafe. I like the bare bones look but if that back of the seat curve that keeps you off the fender isn’t much better than the stock or the 48 I’ll probably go with the stub cafe. Any final thoughts?
I have a Sportster 1200 Custom 2,007. Could you adapt it, or would you not recommend it? thanks from Antigua Guatemala.
Love the additions. You said in your 48 seat video that you were sliding off the back and that it took some getting used to. Did you find that with the bare bones also?
+NaPurificato Bare Bones is more grippy bc it's leather, so no sliding off the back really, plus it slopes up more than the 48 seat as well
I really like the seat, looks cool
Blockhead! Brother I'm in Ontario Canada looking for one of these le pera LK006 DM... can't find anything... everyone seems to be out of stock! 🤔
Hey Blockhead,
Do you think a taller 883 rider would befit from this seat? I have a 2016 Iron and want to get myself back as far possible to stretch out on the bike. I have forward controls on was toying with mini apes. Advice would be great!

If your nuts are on tank, that doesn't sound very comfortable at all to me, lol
BLOCKHEAD lol. I meant it covers the gap between the tank and it feels nice to have some added comfort ;) you gotta experience it 😜

Thanks for the kind words and support. Congrats on the new bike! Ride safe out there :)
Hey man! love your channel! i have seached far and wide, i cannot find what kind of sidemirrors you use? did u make a video on that?
Thanks! Mirrors are stock from the 883, just flipped and reversed :)
hah i knew it! they looked so close to stock when i looked at pictures elsewhere, did you have to modify the bracket? or simply flippityfloppity? :P
Easy as flip and reverse (right goes upside down and on left.) Easiest mod ever :)
Sweet! And thanks for the swift reply! - keep it up
I love the way this seat looks. But I put one on my 1200 two months ago and I just can't mesh with it. It pushes me about an inch forward and being 6'4, that's no good haha. Yeah definitely adjusts you forward a little bit, not bad for a 5'10" tall person like me, but at 6'4", you're pushing even riding a Sportster, haha
BLOCKHEAD haha surprisingly I don't feel cramped with forward controls and the stock seat on my 1200c.
I'm just not into dynas and road kings and shit hahaha
Hey man would this seat for 2019 iron 883? Thanks 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
My saddlemen renegade solo seat was like 265 but got it for free.
That's awesome! 5 finger discount? haha
does that seat make you feel like your not going to slide off when you accelerate ?
Great Vid! What handle bars did you install? Love the look
what saddle bag is that? I dig it.
just brought a bare bones for my sportster forty eight. its very stiff
Break in time!
i have a 2016 iron 883 the link u gave is for a year 10-13 will it fit the 16? i know they changed the seat but idk bout the way it mounts.
Not sure, best bet would be to call LePera and ask :)
Hey Blockhead, what's your height? I just got my self a 2019 883...and thinking about getting the forward controls...I'm 5'6"...what's your advise..
Hi man, love the seat. I tried to buy but they say doesn't fit on my 2012 iron. What do you think? What year is you motorcycle?
??????????????????
+Dany Castellanos Horta Mine is 2013, they would know if it fits or not if you called LePera
Hey bro, do you still have the tank lift in this video?
What handle bars are they
hi there, looks great, even like the tag, really adds to your bike! ride safe! peace
Thank you! Ride safe :)
Any chance that you/MrsBlockhead would be willing to sell this seat (assuming you both end up trading in your bikes per recent videos)?
well done I am loving the vids
Thanks Shane!
Great Work....Bike Looks Nice.
Thank you!
How many miles do you typically ride? Would you recommend it for longer trips (8+ hours riding)?
Longest on average is probably about 40 miles. Wouldn't recommend it for 8+ hr rides, would look into a Mustang seat, heard they're crazy comfortable.
1250 conversion kit?
I'm hoping he gets one just so I can hear his thoughts on it. Blockhead doesn't seem like much of a speed demon though...
Bruhhhhh in due time, lol
Just b/c you don't see me zipping around town in these videos doesn't mean I don't enjoy speed. I respect the bike and get on it when I feel like it, but I don't get stupid with it ;)
BLOCKHEAD I just bought a 2016 Iron... it's my first bike, and definitely has enough power starting out.
white wall tires would look so good on that
Is the seat really comfortable? The stock seat is straight horrible. How would you describe the cushioning? Sturdy? Soft? I want to purchase another seat but need something with great cushioning!
It's much more comfortable than the stock seat, but if you're looking for something with lots more comfort, I've heard the Mustang seats are really good.
Very nice.
Danke
BLOCKHEAD Bitte
Can a 5.3feet height guy drive this vehicle with out tiptoeing? Pls try replying
Go to a dealership and sit on one 👍🏼
Try answering it in general
haha, i like the way you say "LePera Bare Bones"
Bare bernssss
IMO you should think about ditching your fork boots and front fender.
GET IT HA,HA,HA......I'm a big man child .
lol.... hummer. I'm a big man child, too, all good! When people say 'duty,' I'm always like, "You said doody (like poo,)" and laugh, haha
Get Gel Put In!!! Wish I Would Have!!! ... Great Seat!!! Well Made! Peace 2013 road king stripped down!
when your in a garage in your vids that's not your place?
+hunterkiller1221 Nope, a friends place! No garages in the community I live in, sucks!
We should ride together sometime.
Going to start the ball rolling for a meet here soon! I'll post a vid about it :)
I have a h3. I feel obligated to drive like an ass :(. I also have a 48 though ;)
Should cut back fender
+DECLAN CARLONE Rains every day in FL summer. I'll pass.
2nd!!!!
3rd!
first!
Hate videos like these a bunch of talking and riding instead of getting to the point of the title of the video smh
