What a beautiful couple and amazing garden. So nice to see fellow gardeners sharing their tips and knowledge. Mr. Valdivia eyes really light up when he is in his element. A beautiful tribute Asunta is for a woman lost too early.
How fantastic, isn't that what gardening is really all about, sharing, learning and enjoyment. The passion for dragon fruit and gardening generally that is on display in this video, by both young and old is heartwarming and uplifting. The enjoyment and enrichment derived from this passion is so rewarding and is an experience that can be handed down from generation to generation. I love this video, it almost brings a tear to my eye. The wealth of knowledge accumulated after almost eighty years is astounding and should never be underestimated or taken for granted. 💙
Thank you so much Bryan for such strong feelings towards this video. It too made me want to tear when Edgar told me the history of Asunta. I was in total shock of his mother and the reason why we all have Asunta dragon fruit today. Bless you my friend.
What a great opportunity to talk to Edgar Valdivia, I envy you. He is the most knowledgeable person on the subject of the pitahaya. I have been following him for years he has the rarest fruits that I have seen. There is a fruit that called Lucuma which is a Peruvian fruit that only very few people have outside of Peru have. He is very well respected not only in the dragon fruit community, but also in the rare fruit community. So my advice to you is seize the moment learn as much as you can from him, its a great opportunity. One last thing I was cruising TH-cam and in the video Edgar was talking about young people continuing the prompting, researching, and creating interest in the pitahaya and he mentioned your name and website. I was looking for it again and could not find it. Keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you for your attention with my involvement with Edgar. He has became a good friend of mine over the past 2 years. I've tasted the Lucuma that you speak about! It tastes like a maple syrup fruit very delicious! His wife Patricia turned it into a ice cream and it was even better. The video of Edgar mentioning about me is from TH-cam channel IVOrganics.
So generous and willing to share his secrets and knowledge. Good luck with the cuttings. Hopefully one day I can be able to experience this in person or even through the cuttings. Awesome.
