Working on expanding my dragonfruit offerings on Pine island in SW FL and this video is key to helping me select known varieties I'd like to add. Currently I have no idea what we have. I could watch the old man in the middle eat and talk dragon fruit all day. I've learned more listening to him in this one video than all I've watched online so far (I'm currently in the process of germinating my very first little seedlings) in hopes to be able to raise up some little cactus to that big beautiful palm like trellis you built for them

I have a bunch of the Mexico fruit that wasn’t dragon fruit. But I can’t seem to find it by the name you called. Flowers and will have like 20 blooms in a night on Mother’s Day and then on Labor Day every year.
I found it “night blooming cereus.” I eat the fruit all the time. I will prob try crossing it with dragon fruit some day. I just need to get some dragon fruit now.
Dragon fruit looks so cool. I wish I liked them more, but store bought are kind of bland and not too sweet. I wish I could try one you’d recommend. Can’t find many here in Oregon though.
The meter tests for solids, sugar content, in the juice. Look up Brix meter. The higher the number, the more dissolved sugar, the sweeter. You can use on most fruits and vegetables.
