I've always worn minimal sneaks, chukka boots, v-neck sweaters etc, even as a young guy. My mom, (who designs clothes), taught me to always keep classic pieces in your wardrobe, no matter what the trends are. Classic never dies. Now that I'm 50, everyone is in-line with my style. I really appreciate your videos, my G. In my 20' and early 30's, I was a killer with my wardrobe. As I got older and now live in the suburbs instead of the fashion capitol that was the city I lived in, I noticed I let a lot of my style go. Pawn shops and thrift stores are good places to find watches and shoes, or anything really. I found some Ferragamo shoes, Burberry trench and a few nice watches. If something needs some work, you can always get it fixed and it's still a bargain.
I’m seventy three and have started growing my full beard. This has changed my whole way of thinking about my wardrobe. For some reason I want to coordinate my beard look with clothes. I guess I’m having a late mid life clothing crisis. Thanks for your channel I will be watching for more advice.

Being black and just touched 30 in December, I decided it is time to replace my wardrobe. No more plain black or white tees, hoodies, and timberlands. No more true religion or clothes that are not tailored. Only grown up clothes. I actually bought a casual gray blazer gotta grab a navy one
Gloves, hats & scarves. I have couple pair of gloves that I wear depending on what I'm doing. Fine dining/dates; leather gloves. Sporting event...suede or thinner leather finger tip gloves ( smartphone friendly). My scarves usually are cotton knit. They insulate without making you sweat. They're an accent piece if worn in conjunction with the right overcoat. Underrated. No man is complete without a top. Choose according to what you're wearing & to where you're going. I have skull caps ( various colors), fedoras & basic fishermen hats
As a gentleman of around your age, I couldn't agree more with every one of those. Video idea: dressing for working from home. Another: dressing for video calls Covid world and all. I'm an attorney. Tried a case over zoom, wearing dress shirt, tie, suit coat, sweat pants, and slippers 😬 I almost stood up at one point, glad I remembered not to.

Thanks for doing these videos! I’m 62 and, to be honest, I’m a v-neck tee and jeans guy. Always have been and I look pretty good in them. I’m slim and in decent shape so I feel I can get away with it, but you advice interests me. Only problem is, some of the dressier wear I just don’t have many occasions to wear it. Anyway, thanks again and I’ll keep watching.
No problem Stuart!
Thanks for the reminder bruh. I need a nice 3/4 length black trench coat and nice wrist piece. A (TAG) would be nice for my 50th born day. Salute OG
Salute Dwayne !
Gr8 video OG, i got A lot of the pieces you mentioned already so i guess I’m on the right track. I picked up a Navy Blazer from J Crew (Ludlow Slim 46 L ) i had been eyeing for a while , caught it on Sale , feeling good rt about now about it too. Versatile good fit , like you said “quality purchase” that will be in the Wardrobe for a while. As always thx for the tips and keep the content coming!!!
No problem Phillip !
I can't get enough of your cool, suave intro. Good work brother as usual.
Thanks !
You can't forget a signature scent, either, and skip the bubblegum smelling stuff. I prefer leather and Vetiver-based fragrances.
And tobacco for winter
I agree man, this is when BDC beats Sauvage which is much more youthful.
I highly recommend Dior Homme Eau (if you can find it) absolute gem of a scent and for something louderbfor evenings try Rasasi La Yuqawam❤️
Good choice brother I use Creed Vetiver myself...🙏
I alternate spring/summer and fall/winter scents.
@@huggyb2007 Great fragrance
I like Blue and Black Blazers slash Sport Jackets too
Great tips for fellas to learn..only thing not so tight pants more straight leg type.
Thanks for clearing that up from the outset Jeff. Can I get a salute plz? I'm 40 on Friday!
Got you !
Great tips. Even as a younger man I opted for classic timeless pieces that I could rock a stand out statement with...
Thanks Andrew !
Yeah! I need some dress boots! The brown ones always catches my eye! I need me some watches too! Thanks for the video! Again, thanks for that cologne video too! Game changer! 👍🏿👍🏾👍🏽
Salute !
Brother Jeff I'm an older guy and it's great to be in the club! We get better as we grow older! 👍 As usual this is some great style advice you giving out here. I like your watches. I have a few of my own and I agree men of all ages should wear them. Great vid bro!! Salute!!
Salute David !
Great video, but I have to add #14 on your list, older men should have a signature fragrance . And I learned that from your channel 😉
For sure !
I really like your channel. I usually buy gifts for my husband, sons and my brothers.. These guys, plaid shirts and twill work pants. So...It's great to know what to buy.. Thank you!
O.G. I totally agree with the boot its for sure and item all older men need.
Yes Sir !
New subscriber. But I gotta
Say!…this is the way. Been going through my closet and upgrading my style. Got rid of my clunky sneakers, and ditched the soulless I watch. I have two of the three watches you featured. Another great watch brand is Tissot!! Thanks for all you do!!
Welcome!!
Great video OG! This is some excellent advice for the men. I especially love the “you deserve it” & “Don’t chase trends”. Keep giving us the real 👍🏽
Being black and just touched 30 in December, I decided it is time to replace my wardrobe. No more plain black or white tees, hoodies, and timberlands. No more true religion or clothes that are not tailored. Only grown up clothes. I actually bought a casual gray blazer gotta grab a navy one
You convinced me G. I swore off jeans bc I live in a tropical climate but now I want some dark denim jeans for the cooler months ahead
Do it !
I like how truthful you are I can feel every word you say and it makes sense
Salute!
I'm known for my Chelsea's but I'm really interested in a formal boot like the one you displayed. Salute!!!
Salute Ito !
That’s the Idrese Micah dress boot my brother. Grab a pair, they’re nice! Own a black and brown pair myself...
An ash blazer works too
Always on the mark; much wisdom and style on this video and I concur! Thanks Jeff, and Happy Holidays!
Appreciate the input Herbert !
OG, love your advice sir.. Thanks for helping us older cats out!
Sir, you continue to impress me with each and every video, love your content. Please keep doing what you do.
Salute!

Love those boots.
I must say you really know what you're talking about.
Thank you.
A lot of guys really need to see this.
I appreciate that!
I rock the dress boots more now than other shoes as I prefer them these days...👊
Sweaters Definitnely....cardigans and jackets are my signature pieces salute Og Let em Know...
Yes indeed!
Great tips for the older refined man O.G. i have a suggestion how about a video on how to style classic rugged workwear?
Good suggestion!
I agree.
Love this video OG. Statement piece is work in progress. Timely reminder not to chase trends. Thank you.
No problem Raj !
As a gentleman of around your age, I couldn't agree more with every one of those.
Video idea: dressing for working from home.
Another: dressing for video calls
Covid world and all.
I'm an attorney. Tried a case over zoom, wearing dress shirt, tie, suit coat, sweat pants, and slippers 😬 I almost stood up at one point, glad I remembered not to.
About to be 35 in July and I can see the growth of my style and lifestyle in me since finding these gems 💎 #salute
