I really like the fact you don't talk much. I don't follow much TH-cam fitness channels, too many of them are ridiculous, while others yap on too damn long about nothing. I like the fact you go straight to the point. Some of these guys act like its a photo shoot and waste too much time not!!! demonstrating the movements and technique. So happy I found this channel.
ger wen not being sarcastic. Have you ever watch some of these channels on TH-cam. I gave up looking for any. I accidentally came across this one and I really like it.
I've been working out for a good while now, I still watch a lot of vids on TH-cam, however yours are most informative, straight to the point and no bullshit, good stuff mike
Hey mike just wanted to say thanks u gave a couple pointers on dumbbell bench press really developed my chest in my 30's and changed my body forever keep it up I'm sure im not the only one who has improved from your advice
How so? Please explain coz that comment is absolute bull. He's so much of a better example, always going on about full range of motion while this juice idiot is doing half reps left right and centre.
Hyakuji no Kaido Where do you see a half rep? Have you seen Scott Herman's older squat videos? They are terrible. You call him a juice head but he is more articulate and humble then Scott Herman. You are just judging Mike on his looks but in reality he is better in every way then Scott Herman. Mike Thurston has the best form on TH-cam.
Mike, could you do additionally videos about what whether to use heavy weights/low reps or lighter weights/high reps for different muscle groups/exercises? Love this series btw
I have been following quite a few bodybuilders on TH-cam....I must say that Mike's channel is by far, the best. He is clear, consise and straight to the point. Lately, Mike 's channel has become my go to place for advice. Thanks Mike
Found you yesterday and binge watched like 10 videos. Great videos, good information and you listen to grime aswell !! Possibly the best bodybuilder in YT :)
Thomas Shelby that was funny! The rest of these guys are too scared he's gonna come and knock on thier door and whoop em' for laughing at your comment..
If there are variations to the tricep exercises could you point out which ones target which area more than the others for each head ? I hope that make sense !
I tried the close grip benchpress multiple times, and I'm having MASSIVE issues with snaping and pinching in my elbows when doing it. No idea why, but I'm having trouble with my elbows in general when doing an exercise where my arm is extended under load. Benchpress, pushdowns, overhead extension, and the list goes on, unfortunately.
Could you do a video highlighting exercises that can be done with various rotator cuff injuries? I'm trying to work my lower traps for posture reasons and future injury prevention - currently doing behind the back straight arm reverse shrugs on the cable machine, the trap activation feels legit but I'm not sure if I'm putting my shoulders at more risk
Great Videos! Was looking for some more excersise-inspirations and your Cablevariations really inspires me! By the way does anyone know what tje Backgroundsong 's called? It helps pretty much at focusing.
Hey Mike when ever I try triceps extension barbell my elbows flares out I cant control it doesn't matter if its light weight or loaded . Should I give up doing the same and focus on dumb bells ? The form is good for me with dumbells ? Or can you recommend a technique to improve the form
Hey Mike, First a big thank you for your videos, i hope you know that you help a lot of people! Quick question: what do you think of doing the close grip benchpress on the floor instead of a bench? I imagine it would limit the ROM of this exercise to the "tricep-heavy top part". Also, could you do these with the smith-machine? Greetings from Germany
I'm confused you say you don't limit yourself to 5? I recently just did you biceps too 5 and did all 5 andso is that bad what I did? Would you recommended to do all 10 of these bicep and tricep for an arm day or no?
He meant that overall in all your arm workouts, you should not limit yourself to just these 5 exercises. You should alternate different exercises for the best results. You should focus on forming your workouts based on the amount of sets performed. Depending on the frequency or number of times you train each muscle group a week, you can decide on the amount of sets you do. It also really depends on your experience level.
Just do 3 of the 5 exercises mentioned in this video. Different workouts choose a different 3 out of the 5 to mix it up. If you're worried about batwings then weightloss is the priority and so is working the triceps before you're 40. After that the skin elasticity won't be there, they will stay flappy and worsen as you get older.
Jack Carter thanks for the reply, but I don't have "bat wings" so I'm not worried about that. I've been athletic my whole life, but have been training (bodybuilding) seriously for over two years. And due to training hard, I have developed issues with my left rotator cuff, so I was just asking what other "push" tri exercise i can do that doesn't hurt like dips do. Thanks for replying though.
Try fatiguing your triceps before the exercise with rope pushdowns and then go lighter than normal on the close grip. Two things you absolutely must do: 1) keep your shoulders retracted and depressed and 2) keep your elbows tucked in and don't allow em to flare out. Added tip: mind-muscle connection - after doing these two, visualize that the only thing that's gonna move that barbell up and down is those triceps muscles.
I really like the fact you don't talk much. I don't follow much TH-cam fitness channels, too many of them are ridiculous, while others yap on too damn long about nothing. MrUseless247 check out Athlean X.
Osman Hadzalic I do. He's been repeating himself alot lately for his newer subscribers, so I don't watch his videos as much as I use to.
MrUseless247 lol nice sarcasm
ger wen not being sarcastic. Have you ever watch some of these channels on TH-cam. I gave up looking for any. I accidentally came across this one and I really like it.
MrUseless247 you are right, I have been looking for decent videos like these and kept coming across 15 minute long videos full of shit talking
This guy has got to be the best bodybuilder on youtube!!! Everything he says is soo clear
Wavey Doe I agree 100percent
Ever seen Scott Herman? 100 times better and he isn't like this unnatural juicehead.
Hyakuji no Kaido Scott Herman is irrelevant in the fitness world.
I like how your videos are clear and straight to the point. And they're under 5minutes! It's quality rather than quantity that matters.
I have been following quite a few bodybuilders on TH-cam....I must say that Mike's channel is by far, the best.
He is clear, consise and straight to the point.
Lately, Mike 's channel has become my go to place for advice.

You may have your hand placement too close together. Or too much weight. Or both. And do you wear elbow sleeves???
Love videos! Best on TH-cam. Simple!!! Please could we have a video on which muscles respond best to high volume lower weight/low reps higher weight x
...this guy knows his shit...with out a doubt!

Adebeast rarely. Lower back is massively overdeveloped so I don't do it often.
Hi, Mike! I am a beginner and I want to know whether I should focus more on the three heads of the triceps or rather on a complete triceps workout
Great body building exercises sir.. respect you
Excellent. I'm gonna try more parallel. Thank you Papacito.
Mr pretty man again...the only reason I'm subscribed
Best on youtube for sure. Why you don't have more followers is anybodys gues.
Loving it man, keep being real
Great Videos! Was looking for some more excersise-inspirations and your Cablevariations really inspires me! By the way does anyone know what tje Backgroundsong 's called? It helps pretty much at focusing.
Would you recommend deadlifts for bodybuilders, who have none to zero ambition to compete in weightlifting competitions?
What exercises would put more emphasis on the lateral head?

Can you work triceps and biceps the same day?
What can I replace dips with? That exercise hurts my shoulders regardless of having proper form.

2:00 Make sure to prepare for everyone in the gym to glare evil looks at you for taking 2 tricep ropes
Thanks to this second rope my triceps got bigger ! It was worth the evil looks at me haha
Did those workout, I could barely move my arms cuz of bad pain for three days ... I don’t know if I did something wrong, or it was too much ...
u have now a new subscriber ^^
Great video to huge triceps
Do you use tanning beds or is it just a natural look? Always seem to have good colour
For the first exercise (close grip) ı cannot feel contraction at all.How to fix it.I perform this exercise in a correct way.
Try fatiguing your triceps before the exercise with rope pushdowns and then go lighter than normal on the close grip. @@YariAzQuran Thanks a lot.
Looks like lincoln burrows from prison break
True, but a very ripped Lincoln
Mike I can never establish a mind muscle connection with my triceps nor do I ever feel a pump , even after heavy close grip. Why is this ?
fkn best fitness channel
I already have great triceps, just need to learn how to speak with that badass accent of your yours.
How big are your arms ?
I really like close grip bench but I feel like everytime I touch my chest with the bar my chest takes over alot at the bottom.
Would it not be 3/5ths?
Good vid M8
