Casa looking great!!! Love all u r doing!!! Nicki great taste e style ❤
I love how small, niche businesses thrive in Italy, and Europe in general. In Canada, all the small independently owned businesses are being pushed out, while big franchises and corporations are taking over. It's really sad. So many of our main streets have empty store fronts and shopping is done through Amazon, or in a one stop shop area with big box stores. I haven't felt joy while shopping for a very long time. And the small businesses that do manage to stay afloat have to charge so much for their goods and services because real estate, rent, taxes, interest rates are all through the roof. You guys are really lucky. And watching you shop brings me joy :)
Same in the states, higher rent, food and almost everything.😢 But, we the people are the guilty ones because we buy everything on line, we don’t want to go outside and look for it, we want the easy way. So, in the end less people buying things in the small stores that some of them have to go out of business.
My husband and I look forward to Sundays when we watch your latest videos together. He's a Carlo fan and is interested in watching Carlo's projects. My husband also relates to Carlo which is part of his enjoyment watching your videos. Watching this video a bit ago, my husband said "what's wrong with where Carlo hung the fly swatter?" I replied, "I agree with Nicki. Nobody wants to see a fly swatter in plain sight." My husband asks "why?" It's true - men are from Mars, women are from Venus! Thanks for our weekly chuckles!
😂 I agree, lol. Men are practical, just slap it up anywhere so that we can find it. Woman want everything asthetically pleasing. A fly swatter is so ugly and unhygienic. Not only that, I'm sure Nicki doesn't want an ugly fly swatter in the videos. 😂
Except if Carlo dared to place the photo there--or anywhere in the house--his temperamental hellcat wife would remove it (after screaming at him first).
@@ManagerWestlan Not sure why you are watching this channel. You completely misunderstand the vibe. This couple are loving and so happy together. You mistake playful banter for arguing.

Carlo, you were SO right to buy the ugly furniture. It looks absolutely fabulous now. The new upholstery and chalk paint makes it look much more expensive than it is. Very classy & elegant, and the perfect set for your beautiful patio! ❤
The 'ugly garden furniture' now looks great! Seriously - it has far more personality than a contemporary garden furniture has. I think the colous of the wood and reupholstered cushions are very classic, cal, welcoming and will feel very cooling in the heat of the summer. The furniture is a delightful mix of your personalities and while it was initially somewhat unattractive, it now a delight. Cheers to the two of you on making your patio so inviting.
Hi Nikki and Carlos. 😊 when changing out your cushion covers , take a large black plastic garbage bag ,put the cushion in it , with the opening of the bag going into your cover first ,feed into the cover, once in just pull the bag out. It stops the struggle, as it makes the cushion slippery. 😊
I will say it again, you both have done an awesome job on your renovations of your Tuscan home. You all are super happy there to include the pups. ❤❤❤❤
You and Carlo have worked so hard turning your new house into a lovely home. It must be hard to leave, but I'm sure the pull of Positano and family is strong. What a wonderful life!❤️
Loved the lampshade shop. The little walls Carlo built around your covered terrace have transformed the space as has the ‘ugly’ furniture which now looks beautiful and comfortable .
Wow, the ugly-duckling furniture has turned into a beautiful swan! I loooove the transformation, and would never get rid of it now 😍. You did a fabulous job giving it new life, as you did practically the whole HOUSE. Bravo! I can't tell you how much I LOVE this Tuscany chapter of your lives ~ and I've been watching you for years! Have a wonderful time back home in beautiful Positano (but I already can't wait 'til you return to Tuscany! 🥰).
I too am loving all the Tuscany videos. All the flea markets & renovations make me happy. Marie, Lorenzo & Celine so close are an added pleasure. But I do miss the sea. Nothing like it ☀️
These Sunday videos fill my heart so much! I can't express how happy they make me. You take me on a trip to the land of my ancestors. A place that I can only dream of seeing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤

The house is looking great ! U both have great ideas and style. The lampshades really are extra special…stunning! Also u have made over the outdoor couch area into something quite lovely. Enjoying your Tuscan life so much. Thank u for letting us in. 💝💙💚😍
It’s better than Chelsea, this is the entire community bringing flowers and food . What happiness! Look at Carlos face, he wants a truck to take it all home.
It DOES appear that Carlo is loving life in Tuscany doesn't it? But then he strikes me as a joy seeking being! It will be interesting to see if they start spending more time in Tuscany than in Positano. I'm sure they are missing friends and family but not those steps!! 🙂
BRING IN ALL THOSE CUSHIONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE PLEASE !! I just cleaned 38 couch cushions !! When I saw you taking off the covers, my Wrists screamed !! AWFUL job !! The set looks gorgeous now !!
Well done for giving the smaller shops your business, and for the creativity to transform everything so beautifully. As nice as some more 'modern' pieces of furniture are, you have good, solid, wooden furniture that, hopefully, will last, and has been well loved before. The outdoor table and chairs were a good purchase, by Carlo. You have renovated it perfectly. ❤
I have to admit I'm never disappointed it what you both create. You both could open a shop to make old and used furniture like new.I look forward to Sunday's seeing what adventures you're up to.Can't wait to see you in Positano again.
Thank you for another lovely Sunday morning in Tuscany. What a wonderful flower market! So colorful and lush. And thank you, Carlo, for showing us your new electric shears! I'm an apartment manager, and this is just what I need for my 9 acre community. I just bought one for my team! I can't wait to start trimming some of the very healthy cherry blossom trees and Weigela bushes. 😊
Hard to leave such a beautifully accomplished house and surrounding Tuscany landscapes and activities, even though your Positano palace, and 500 stairs, is a beauty too. Enjoying the contrast immensely!
The patio turned out so beautiful, with furniture make over, the wall, the flowers, just lovely! I had to laugh out loud when I saw that fly swatter. Something my husband would’ve done.
I like how the chalk paint soften some of the dark and heavy carving and yet the wood frames still give the impression of loving room rather than garden furniture. The woven reed rug still gives the rattan suite look that Nicki was originally hoping for. So an effective melding of your choices that don't come across as a compromise. Your lampshade choices will really dress up your bedrooms and kitche. Well done!
I think the furniture is quaint and very charming, very inviting. I totally see why Carlo got it. It was extremely inexpensive; very comfortable, and had potential. You said the outdoor furniture was very expensive there, so it was very practical to get a temporary, inexpensive set until you were ready to invest in your ideal, permanent set. Being flexible can open our eyes to possibilities that we would never have considered, but end up wonderful opportunities! I will bet you that while you are gone, those former owners come for some of their things- not because they need them, but to be nosy. I wish you could put some trail cameras out to watch them if they show up. They are like a pimple on your a$$ that never goes away, but you know the possibility of them popping up to get their stuff is always there. Sorry, but I don’t trust them. They are shady and extremely inconsiderate. Have a wonderful time in Positano!❤

The re-do of the furniture set turned out better than I could have imagined. Nicki, the closing shot of you in the late day Tuscan sun was stunning! If only we could always have that kind of lighting......
That lampshade shop is extraordinary. Nothing like that here in the US. the seating Carlo bought looks lovely. I’m sure it’s sturdy and much more comfortable than newer sets. Older things are just made better. Thank you as always for sharing. The flower market was glorious.

The ugly furniture set turned into a beauty! What a difference a little paint & new fabric covers can make. That flower market was pretty incredible. Also, the lamp shades turned out really nice - a great find. Indie made me laugh at the stall with all of the meat 's & cheeses - she wanted something so badly! Hope your Dad is doing OK. Carlo always seems to find gems in the rough. He seems very happy with his new toy, too. The lampshades are darling, but the cushion fabric for outdoors is exactly what I would've picked!!
The outdoor furniture looks great and I love the new lampshades! I've seen a few grumbly comments - from a set few - about the interiors you're doing and I've wanted to say for ages that your style is bang on trend. The people who are commenting clearly aren't aware of what's going on in the interiors world. Peachy pinks are in; stripes and ruffles are in; mismatched but complimentary florals and other patterns are in. I think the colour and pattern combinations you've done in the guest bedroom are fabulous. Looking forward to seeing more in Tuscany when you're back late summer. Meanwhile, Positano, wonderful!
I absolutely love what you did to transform the outdoor furniture!!! Carlo, you remind me of my late husband, he used to get excited to buy tools as well. The place is coming together so beautifully!!
Hello everywhere, from Atlanta Ga. My wife and I can't stop watching your videos, we are absolutely hooked!!! We have visited Italy many times and we love the Amalfi coast region the most. You are truly blessed to live in such a beautiful location. Keep up the fine work and we look forward to seeing your new posts as they come along, probably tonight.
Dear Carlo and Nicki , so lovely to see real craftsmanship still alive in the unique shops ! Like the fabric shop and Wow ! a whole shop making lampshades ! All those kinds of shops don't exist anymore in the UK ! Ofcourse the outdoor furniture turned out great , looks really lovely and would have been crazy to burn it ! Good solid , comfy furniture, now with a new life xx Janette (UK)
Good buy Carlos I knew they had great potential, here that set will cost thousands of dollars especially real wood, those seat will last you a lifetime. Love the lamp shade every Sunday we want to move to Italy, love the markets, the tradition of every town. Thank you for a scape of our real world here in America
The terrace is stunning, picture perfect and so inviting! The lamp shades shop is so beautiful, is amazing to see real makers in this digitalized world. Thank you for such a delightful vlog!♥♥♥
Nicki, I’m an ER nurse (28 years) and a migraine sufferer as well. (USA, Charleston, WV) My doctor recommended Imitrex that works amazing for me. It might be worth it to give it a try?!? The lampshades are absolutely beautiful! The ugly outdoor furniture is ugly no more. It looks beautiful ❤ I love your new flowers and so enjoyed your visit Vicopisano! Unfortunately, I am not traveled so it was fabulous. I laughed out loud when Carlos hung the fly’s water and you made him move it 😂 Thank you again for sharing! ❤
I've been taking magnesium glycinate and riboflavin to keep away the migraines - vision and pain. Haven't had a pain or an aura in the year I've been taking these two supplements.
My parents had this set in their log cabin in the eighties. If my mother could have known how great it would look painted and recovered! This furniture lives on in my brothers log cabin. Definitely built to last. You did a great job.
For those persons who said you should have burnt that furniture set, they obviously have no imagination for you have transformed it into something really beautiful. I wonder what the bagpipe players were doing in your neck of the woods. Whatever, it was sweet music to my ears perhaps because I'm Scottish!. As more proof, I've just baked a batch of shortbread well you're going to have to take my word for it. It's amazing what you've done to your house in so little time, it's starting to look absolutely gorgeous, just goes to show that with great taste and hard work what's possible.. It's wonderful seeing the dogs out and about enjoying so much space to run about in. You made, in my opinion, a great choice. Have a great time in Positano.
Fly swatter issue very funny!😂Lamps gorgeous!!!And the outdoor furniture couldn't be any more perfect!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Blown away.Looks like it was made for you!!!!!
Your vlog is one of my favourites…thank you for providing such lovely content…really hoping that your Tuscany home will be well protected while you and Carlos are away🌿💚🌿
You have made your house so beautiful. It's not always easy to see what could be instead of what is but you and Carlo seem to both have that gift. Thank you for sharing with us. And the ugly furniture looks wonderful.
I'm a tool nut too Carlo ! This year I bought a weed eater and chain saw to cut up all the limbs in my 2 acre yard. Love the battery operated tools! So nice to see how pretty the porch furniture turned out. It's lovely.
Thanks for sharing the flower show. Wow, who would ever want you to burn the outside furniture? It looked nice before and even better now with the new covers. Enjoy being back home! 🐾🦋🐝🦀🙏🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Love from uk ❤❤❤ the outside furniture looks absolutely beautiful ,the wood will, certainley last a lifetime well done the newhouse looks very inviting love from uk.❤
The flyswatter part made me laugh 😂 Shows the difference between the way men and women think. Nicki wants it more hidden so it doesn't ruin the aesthetics of the room and Carlo wants it to be very visible so it can be found when needed 😂 Hopefully you found a good hidden corner to put it in.
I don't think Carlo appreciated being screamed at by Nicki, who shows their dogs more respect than she does to good-natured Carlo. All she had to do was quietly let him know that she would prefer the flyswatter remain where it had been.
@@ManagerWestlan I didn't think she was screaming at him. That's just their dynamic. My parents would speak to eachother in the same way and so do my husband and I. We both have logical but different ways of doing things. It's done more in humour than in anger.
Wow beautiful town w all the festivals....I love that lampshade store wouldn't it be fun to create all those beautiful shades in such a pretty place....boy those shears look fun.....all u could trim in a weekend😂
Ugly furniture is not ugly anymore, it’s beautiful!

Yes, Canada has become colourless, boring, and expensive.
yes, so many beautiful fabrics! everyone embraces beauty and second hand shops have lovely furniture
We have all allowed this to happen. Mainland Europe fights to prevent this large business from taking over.

Men & their tools 😂
Thanks for letting us have a little glimpse into your lives every week!
Good buy Carlos I knew they had great potential, here that set will cost thousands of dollars especially real wood, those seat will last you a lifetime. Love the lamp shade every Sunday we want to move to Italy, love the markets, the tradition of every town. Thank you for a scape of our real world here in America
What a beautiful life you have. Your new house inside and out is just lovely.
I love how the outdoore furniture tourned out ! it looks beautiful and so comfy . that's what you call a teamwork
(USA,
Charleston, WV)
My doctor recommended Imitrex that works amazing for me. ❤
I too suffer from migraines & you’re right, Imitrex works wonders. No need to suffer.
I've been taking magnesium glycinate and riboflavin to keep away the migraines - vision and pain. Haven't had a pain or an aura in the year I've been taking these two supplements.
The patio furniture came out beautiful! You saved it from the burn pile.
Well Done!
The sofas turned out beautiful 💚 Thank you for the tour always lovely to tag along!
Luckily Nicki was willing and skilled enough to take on the work to transform it.
Love the toile and what a great moment of “renew, reuse and repurpose”… fantastic!
Drone. Shots. Fantastic. Really professional. And. The sky. Lovely 💙💙💙💙🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🌼🌼🌼💛💛💛💛💛💛🙏🏻
The whole look of the porch is so much better now.
Great makeover (including the walls).
The walls & planters make all the difference. Can’t wait to see an evenings entertainment out there. The lighting alone will be pretty ❤
O my gosh, now a flower market, another wow! Huggz for the migraine xx
The flyswatter part made me laugh 😂
Shows the difference between the way men and women think. Nicki wants it more hidden so it doesn't ruin the aesthetics of the room and Carlo wants it to be very visible so it can be found when needed 😂
Hopefully you found a good hidden corner to put it in.
I thought the same 😂

Nicki: it's in a blatantly obvious part of the room 🙄😑
Carlo: it's in a blatantly obvious part of the room 🙂👍
I don't think Carlo appreciated being screamed at by Nicki, who shows their dogs more respect than she does to good-natured Carlo. All she had to do was quietly let him know that she would prefer the flyswatter remain where it had been.
@@ManagerWestlan I didn't think she was screaming at him. That's just their dynamic.
My parents would speak to eachother in the same way and so do my husband and I. We both have logical but different ways of doing things. It's done more in humour than in anger.
A perfect example of the fact that men think about practicality & women think about aesthetics.
The flyswatter! You guys are adorable.
Sending loving and peace-filled thoughts to everyone.
Wow beautiful town w all the festivals....I love that lampshade store wouldn't it be fun to create all those beautiful shades in such a pretty place....boy those shears look fun.....all u could trim in a weekend😂
Awesome job on the patio furniture!
I think you should return next year to the flower show, I’d love to see more plants.
I was thinking Carlo will be prepared for next years show 🪴🌻
The new outdoor cushions look GREAT!! Everything is coming along and looking lovely. 🌺💐🌸🌻
Thank you for taking us with you on your errands around Tuscany !!
