This time round, Tryggvi reviews the flagship racing helmet from Shark Helmets: The Race-R Pro GP FIM. This 'Titan of safety' is one of the very few FIM homologated helmets available on todays market. Used by MotoGP legends such as Jorge Lorenzo, Miguel Oliviera & Johann Zarco, this helmet is truly a game changer in terms of safety and protection in the current helmet market.

Just buy now this beautiful helmet 🔥
Would you say the spoiler breaks off easily or is fragile? I'm worried that a small drop or bumping in to something will break it off and I won't be able to replace it.
Hi how does this fit compared to hjc and shoei? Shoei never fit me but im comfortable on a large hjc rpha . Thanks
My dreams helmet🔥🔥
Is the fitment is closer to shoei or arai and how's the chin room?
Do you have a website? If yes, please mention it.
The fitment is definitely closer to a Shoei, it’s not too close to the chin, it’s close enough to stop any hot breath hitting the screen especially with the breath guard included, but I wouldn’t say it was claustrophobic. We do have a website at www.mcaleicester.co.uk but it is currently down, be sure to check out Shark’s website, everything you find there we are able to stock/get hold of. Hope this helps 👍🏼
What is the difference between the SHARK RACE-R PRO GP FIM and Shark Race-R Pro GP Redding Winter Test Replica Ltd ? Thank you.
The difference is the amount of carbon used in the construction, minus the spoiler the FIM Race-R Pro is fully carbon fibre whereas the Redding Replica is carbon on show and aramid underneath. The carbon fibre on the FIM Race-R Pro GP is really thick and quite heavy to meet FIM regulations, technically making it a safer helmet than the Redding Replica. Having said that, the Redding Replica is still a fantastic and safe helmet, apart from the construction and thickness of carbon fibre, the helmets are more or less identical for looks, fit and features.
