Wonderful video! I was there in September and I really enjoyed that Osprey nest as well. Would have fallen into the Fire Hole had I run into you!

Hudson and Rick, loved this video. Brought back a lot of good memories of my week with you and the crew. I think you must of got all the clouds we never saw that year, LOL. I am pretty sure David and I stopped at Fire Canyon on our way to the Tetons after the workshop, but you had a much better day and all we saw was an annoying raven hoping for some of our lunch LOL. Learned so much on that trip and had a ton of fun. Can't wait to see more of the images from everyone there, maybe an office hours subject ???

As always Hudson & Rick, amazing video. Yellowstone is someplace that I have always wanted to go to and it looks like you had an amazing time! Thanks for sharing the images.

Hudson & Rick, A review great of the first leg of your trip. Beautiful images by the participants - WELL DONE! I'm looking forward to your review of the 180-600mm lens and how you compare it to the 100-40mm with a 1.4TC. Do you have a recommendation for an APP to help decide on the best location to be at for the best shots of a sunrise and/or sunset based on what the Sun's position is going to be in the area?

PHotographers ephemeris for planning ahead on your computer. Photo Pills/Sun Surveyor in the field. We use them all. Each has strengths and is worth it.

The B/W shot with the steam rising out of those hot pools looks like there is part of a face staring at us on the left side especially with the smaller thumbnail. Looks like there is part of the forehead, two eyes, and the most of the nose before being lost in the darker rocky area. Just thought that looked cool amid the steam. Many nice shots from you and the participants showcasing the many looks of Yellowstone.

I saw that too! That was the first thing I noticed when that photo came up into view. Great shot.

Hudson, having just watched one of your videos about Tripods, the following topic occurred to me:
Have you ever covered the subject of travelling with a Tripod, Head and camera...What is, in your opinion, the best way to carry the combination ready for action...using a strap (and which is the best strap), using one leg as a carry handle or maybe over the shoulder. I am in Scotland and carry my Tripod and camera over my shoulder most times but am interested in YOUR opinion.

Great video, I think I must have been in the Park at the same time. However. You should know that most of Yellowstone NP is in Wyoming, not Montana.

Maybe in the Tetons, right? Let's see if they can stop all the traffic again. 🙂
