That is not rudeness. When applying for a business loan at a bank, the bank managers are just as tough as Claude if not even tougher. It must also not be forgotten that a 250,000 pound investment is to be made here.
Notice the different reaction to Zee and Kurt. The two girls ganged up and went to town on Zee for perceived sexism, then he got grilled about it on You're Fired. Kurt says get some eye candy over here, it's mentioned once and no on cares. I wonder why that is...
finally a moment that is as good as the "trampoline misha"p from s03 lol when Lord Sugar called Jason back in I wss right with him thinking WTF?! ! he's never done anything like that before ir made my week
Love and Jason and thought Kurt was good. Surely I'm not the only one who thinks Natalie looks really hot here!! Haha! Plus to be fair to her, that cow does look like a sheep's head certainly!!
I don't think Natalie should've gone on this task and I don't think she should've been brought back in either. It should've either been Leah or Myles, Leah was the one who scared the bike lady off. She was very negative, unenthusiastic, what Natalie said wasn't bad at all. If what she said scared her off then the bike lady was just unreasonable. Kurt should've been fired alone, he didn't sell a single thing on that task and Natalie was not the lowest seller. All Kurt can actually do is drinks, I actually can't see him doing anything else. He and Natalie both stayed in the kitchen in episode 6, he got the measurements wrong in the 5th episode, Kurt was 100% responsible for this task, I would've fired just Kurt.
@234SuperSimi Yeah I would have fired Kurt as well but even though he was tactical in bringing Natalie back in the boardroom, she lost 6 out of 7 times so her time was sort of up.
My point. He may purposely be rude on the show like Simon Cowell, maybe BBC told him to do it, or maybe he just does it to stand out. That does not mean he resembles that character outside of the show.
I'm just saying that he may not actually be as bad as he seems when doing actual business in real life, he just gives people a tough time when they are asking for a quarter-million pound investment.
Nope - none of the other interviewers treat the candidates likes he does. He even said in this when saying he would fire them "I'm not sorry, but yes I'd fire you" - why say that? He has deliberatly cultivated this "oh i'm the outspoken rude judge" role that is in reality tv shows.
Actually he says in another episode of this he almost enjoys "ripping apart" the candidates and it isn't a real business interview, it is an "interrogation"
Those business people are so serious about everything that it is just unbearable. They should be working in a funeral house telling the dead how terrible their life and mistakes had been. They just can't have a laugh and a break.
It was my point. The attitude you see in the show is just is not his real attitude, you were saying that he is rude, which he is on the show, but not necessarily in real life. You never specified in what context he was rude, which by default means you are talking about him as a whole and not on the show, which is where I disagreed.
Possibly. But he has been horrible for many years now. I can well imagine he IS like that in real-life. And as a "trouble-shooter" he would go in, beep on everyone and then leave, so no need to be nice.
This guy is characterless and cold. He has charisma and comes across uninterested. No wonder the audience didn't like him and only 5 people held up ''hired''
Well you have to admit though, that a lot of the statements the candidates make are ludicrous. They can't even stand up to them. The only person who actually admitted he did it on purpose was Ricky Martin. And during the interviews he owned up and showed a very professional and credible attitude. When he did that, Claude became a lot softer. And he told Alan Sugar "I'm mesmerised by the guy".
I don't really get the dislike on Claude. Sure, he's quite dry and opinionated but that doesn't make one a horrible person. JoeNumberwang You're right, no one else does, because they all look for different things. You look at any series and you'll find the different interviewers test them in different ways. There's always the details person, who can test their knowledge, catch them out on a lie or pick apart small flaws that the candidates don't see. Then there's the person who tests the personality of the candidates, what drives them, how personable they might be and what they would be like to work with. You often also have somebody who will question the candidates on their skill set who would be able to deduce whether they thought they had the ability to do certain things. Then you have Claude, who strips away the bullshit and bravado and sees how the candidates react under pressure. You find that the people Claude tends to soften to by the end of the interview (like Ricky the previous year) are those who are capable to keeping their composure as he tears into them and explain their points in articulate and clear manner.
"Eye-candy" it was a bit sexist but he himself isn't sexist but Leah should've been on the caravan team from the beginning cos she was the closest to selling one.
Are you trying to tell me all billionaire business men and women are rude? Highly doubtful - you watch all the previous Apprentice interview episodes with him in, he is always incredibly rude to candidates especially in comparison to the other interviewers.

Serious win for Dara for the Father Ted reference

She's even more bundle of joy after a few drinks!
good luck Jason! I'm rooting for you since week 1!
I came here just to watch Jasons reaction when he gets called back to go into the boardroom
kurt is so so boring, no personality, and Jason is adorable and I love him!
Love and Jason and thought Kurt was good. Surely I'm not the only one who thinks Natalie looks really hot here!! Haha! Plus to be fair to her, that cow does look like a sheep's head certainly!!
25:46 the look Sir Alan probably had when his first child/grandchild was born.
Kurt's a completely different person here. If he'd been like this in the task, smiling and making a few jokes, he'd probably have done better.
I am glad Kurt is gone. I thought he is dull and boring. Dry character. I love Jason.
Anyone know what Kurt's highlights song is called?
Don't Stop the Party by Pitbull ft TJR

@@abdiahmedthebritishtraveller Yeah
What's the song's title at 28:36 ? Thanks

Yeah, I said the same thing. And he seems like a solid guy.
I'm still laughing! One of the best, ever!
I so want one of those inflatable boats!!!!
can't wait for next week xD
I'm just saying that he may not actually be as bad as he seems when doing actual business in real life, he just gives people a tough time when they are asking for a quarter-million pound investment.
Kurt needs to curb his eye-rolling!
Eugh, I cannot stand Claude - let's just be rude to people for the sake of it.
Nope - none of the other interviewers treat the candidates likes he does. He even said in this when saying he would fire them "I'm not sorry, but yes I'd fire you" - why say that? He has deliberatly cultivated this "oh i'm the outspoken rude judge" role that is in reality tv shows.

It's called a hard professional attitude. Without such an attitude big business (talking billions) is indeed difficult.
so claude is not going to be in the interview process. hes like the main reason why enjoy watching the interviews.
Those business people are so serious about everything that it is just unbearable. They should be working in a funeral house telling the dead how terrible their life and mistakes had been. They just can't have a laugh and a break.
The music at 19:15 is RUSSIAN, not Greek. It's called "Korobeiniki" and was used in Tetris. The VTs in this series have been awful...

25:06 LOOOOOOLLLLLOOOOOLLOOOOLL!!!!
Nope - you said and I quote, in reply to my original post of him being rude that "It's called a hard professional attitude"
I was referring to his general attitude in real life and not that on the show.
Claude is so harsh and heartless. He is the type of person who can make a weak person commit suicide.
Possibly. But he has been horrible for many years now. I can well imagine he IS like that in real-life. And as a "trouble-shooter" he would go in, beep on everyone and then leave, so no need to be nice.

Jason is going to win!

+jakerockznoodles You'd be surprised how much dislike Claude gets.
I like Claude.
I really don't understand why no one but Nick took apparent issue with Kurt's sexism. I thought it was ridiculous
"Eye-candy" it was a bit sexist but he himself isn't sexist but Leah should've been on the caravan team from the beginning cos she was the closest to selling one.
mutton dressed as lamb comes to mind with Natalie!
Are you trying to tell me all billionaire business men and women are rude? Highly doubtful - you watch all the previous Apprentice interview episodes with him in, he is always incredibly rude to candidates especially in comparison to the other interviewers.
scream and shout or something like that
kurt seriously does not have any skill
lol I don't think that was your point at all really but whatever.
Seriously... who is she headhunting ? no style - no substance and about as much class as a robin reliant.
