My old boss was someone like her. Told you flat out where you were going wrong. It was great and I really managed to improve myself there. I was also never good enough, so when I got tired and exhausted after 50 hours of manual labour and managing a team she would yell at me for not accomplishing everything. Yet she went home early a lot of the time and dumped a lot of her responsibilities on me. I don't know if Katy Hopkins is like that, but if she is, it's certainly not a bad thing in small doses.

What real female empowerment looks like. Knows what she wants, does what she wants, says what she wants, makes her point and point of view known, you know where you stand with her. Doesn't give a rat's arse what anyone else has to say.
Katie's personality is and can be abrasive, she will make as many friends as she makes enemies. The reasons people hate her will be the reasons people like her. She knows that, she doesn't care and she made peace with it long before she entered the public sphere. Why she was never broken by or insecure about her public perception as so many celebrities and well known figures tend to be.
The truth is that many of us, particularly in an age where we're lacking in confidence, self-esteem and riddled with insecurities would stand to benefit being more like Katie than not. She really missed her niche of being a counter-culture self-help guru personality. The firmer hand of slapping you when you're being silly rather than pandering with "It's okay you feel like this, you're feelings are valid, we understand and support you."

Really? Paris was tense and neurotic. She was aggressive and competitive but her neuroticism stopped her from being arrogant. I don't think Katie Hopkins has sufficient self-awareness to be neurotic.
